PINK FLOYD lifts the curtain on The WALL ‘InTheStudio’

North American syndicated Rock radio show

InThe Studio totally deconstructs Pink Floyd's The Wall , the second highest-selling original album in U.S. history, with exclusive interviews with composer Roger Waters, singer/ guitarist David Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason in the first of two hour-long shows featuring the new Pink Floyd "Immersion" seven-disc box set. As a musical bookend to the '70s, The Wall became the top-selling Pink Floyd album, eventually becoming a movie and a hailed concert production, first in 1980, then at the fall of the notorious Berlin Wall in 1990 and now in the twenty-first century with Roger Waters taking The Wall around the world with its most extensive production yet. The theme of The Wall, using the device of a music superstar's plunge into the dark side of success which eventually results in absolute isolation both emotionally and physically from the audience he or she purports to attract sadly is as current as last week's headlines.

Show producer and host Redbeard gets a very candid admission from Roger Waters as to how

The Wall became real in his own life. " During a show in Montreal I finally got so angry that I spat at this child, he was 14 or 15 I suppose. When I got off stage afterwards I thought, ' What have I been reduced to?

And what has happened to the relationship between the band and the audience?' So, The Wall was something that I had experienced very powerfully through most of that (Animals) tour, but specifically on that day."
