BASICK RECORDS sign 2 new acts: The Algorithm & Skyharbor!

BASICK RECORDS is extremely happy to welcome two exciting new international acts to its ever expanding roster: French electro-metal producer THE ALGORITHM and Indian progressive metal band SKYHARBOR!

The signing of these two new acts further cements BASICK's reputation as a solid choice for some of the world's most progressive and forward thinking artists.

The brainchild of talented producer Rémi Gallego, THE ALGORITHM infuses modern metal breakdowns with a menagerie of electronic subgenres such as IDM, chiptune and breakcore to concoct his own potent style of fiercely heavy music.
After a successful premiere of his live show at this years Euroblast Festival, Rémi will now be focusing on playing more shows around Europe, including a BASICK showcase in London, scheduled for early next year.
THE ALGORITHM will release a new single 'Tr0jans' (which includes new versions of the tracks 'Isometry' and 'Antikythera…') and a new, as yet untitled album via BASICK in early 2012.

More details to follow.

Stream the track 'Isometry' from the forthcoming single here:

Starting out as a simple bedroom studio project, guitarist Keshav Dhar has seen SKYHARBOR quickly evolve into one of India's hottest metal prospects, with huge admiration coming in from some of the biggest names in metal worldwide.
An astonishing amount of buzz also surrounded the bands first ever performance at the Bacardi NH7 Festival in Pune, India earlier this month, where they played to over 1,000 people and were one of the weekend's highlights.

The long awaited debut album from SKYHARBOR promises to be a landmark release for the Indian independent music scene, in no small part thanks to the incredible number of international guest appearances it will see, including the likes of Marty Friedman (ex Megadeth), Daniel Tompkins (ex TesseracT), Vishal J. Singh (Amogh Symphony) and Sunneith Revankar (Bhayanak Maut).

SKYHARBOR will release the debut album 'Blinding White Noise: Illusion & Chaos' worldwide via BASICK in early 2012.

More details to follow.

MULTI-PLATINUM ROCKERS DROWNING POOL TO PART WAYS WITH SINGER

New York, NY– All-American anthemic rockers Drowning Pool announced today that they will be parting ways with their current singer, Ryan McCombs. The hard working Texas band, who has worked with 3 singers in their 10 year career, issued the following statement:

"We have always been a band who has gained success despite having multiple singers...maybe we suffer from reverse 'lead singer's disease," said C.J. Pierce. "Changing things up has not always been easy, but the band has become re-energized time and time again.  We are looking to find a new singer who will give both us and, and most importantly our fans, the new adrenaline shot they deserve." He went on to say, "We do wish Ryan great success in his future endeavors." McCombs, who had been part of the band since 2006, replaced singer Jason Jones, who joined Drowning Pool following the tragic passing of Dave Williams.

Drowning Pool turned the world into believers with their breakthrough single "Bodies" in 2001. Ten years, three singers and four albums later, they're giving fans a new reason to believe.  "Feel Like I Do," the lead single from their self-titled fourth studio release [Eleven Seven Music], became the band's biggest radio hit to date, reaching No. 2 at Active Rock Radio, and remaining in the Top 5 for 12-weeks.  With 2009's "37 Stitches" off of Full Circle reaching #4 at Active Rock and "Feel Like I Do," the band had 2 consecutive Top 5 Active Rock smashes and cemented their place as one of the top hard rock acts today. The band's sophomore album, Desensitized with second singer Jason Jones spawned a Top 10 hit with "Step Up." Recent successes have paved the way for unique opportunities such as presenting the Lane Evans Mental Health Care Reform to then-senator Barack Obama on Capitol Hill, performing for our troops all over the world and partnering with organizations like The Wounded Warrior Project and the G.I. Film Festival.

Drowning Pool is currently looking to find a suitable replacement for McCombs.  In the meantime, they have already begun writing their 5th studio album in their hometown of Dallas.

Drowning Pool is C.J. Pierce – guitar/ vocals, Stevie Benton – bass/vocals, and Mike Luce – drums/vocals.

Wallner/Vain to Release Debut Album in February 2012

Los Angeles based hard rock artists Will Wallner (Guitarist) & Vivien Vain (Vocalist) will release their debut album on February 1st 2012. The release and promotion will be handled by Los Angeles based company 'Metal Assault'. The album will feature guest musicians including Carmine Appice, Vinny Appice, Brian Tichy, Rudy Sarzo, Tony Franklin, Jimmy Bain, Derek Sherinian and Tony Carey providing an all-star backing.

The album was recorded in Los Angeles throughout 2011 and mixed by Gary Tole in New York. Mastering was completed in September 2011 by Graham Goldman at Masterdisk.

Both in their early twenties, Will Wallner and Vivien Vain came to America from Europe to pursue a career in music. After a year of performing locally in Los Angeles they had a chance meeting with Carmine Appice and Vinny Appice at the Rainbow Bar & Grill on the Sunset Strip in 2010. Both agreed to perform drums for their album and since that first meeting the project evolved featuring several other guest session musicians with Will Wallner and Vivien Vain performing all guitars and vocals respectively. Their debut features nine original songs written and produced by Wallner/Vain.

The album cover features Wallner/Vain photographed by Glen La Ferman. A music video for the song 'Streets Of Rage' will be released with the album, which was produced in Hollywood in September 2011. Wallner/Vain will announce live dates to promote their album release in the next couple of months.

Wishbone Ash and "Elegant Stealth" the brand new album will be released on 25th November 2011.

The waiting is over! "Elegant Stealth" will be officially released on Nov. 25 in Europe and the UK through ZYX, but the album is available now in the US through Amazon, including the European import.

Congratulations to Rainer from Finland, who was the very first person to own the CD (which he purchased last week directly from ZYX).

We're happy to report there's already lots of great momentum surrounding "Elegant Stealth." Thanks go out to Billy at Glass Onyon and Lee at Bright Lights for nabbing some choice interview opportunities for Andy.

A short list of recent interviews includes Sidesixx, one of Ireland's biggest rock websites (listen here: http://sidesixx.com/features/2619-we-sit-down-with-andy-powell-of-wishbone-ash/); Classic Rock Revisited, a well known US website; Sound and Vision Magazine, a large glossy magazine out of New York City; Total Guitar, and Record Collector magazine.

Interactive Guitar, a worldwide digital magazine, will produce a six-page feature on the band slated for January.

There's a special buzz around Andy's interview with Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal) for Artrocker, which promises to introduce the band to a broader audience.

"Jesse was very knowledgeable; and being a former political journalist, this will be an esoteric ramble-- quite different from the usual pitch," Andy says. "He's buddies with Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and told me how he and Grohl really dug the two trance albums we did in the '90s, Trance Visionary and Psychic Terrorism."

That interview is slated for January release.

A Powell prototype?
Many of you will remember some years back when Andy and Gibson were talking about creating an Andy Powell signature Flying V model. Although those discussions didn't pan out, there is a new campaign under way to interest Gibson in an "Andy Powell Tribute" model. Richard Thomas, co-owner of Rich Tone Music in Sheffield, UK, is spearheading the campaign. Rich's plan is to develop the prototype and then shop it to Gibson. Watch this space for updates!

On the road again…
The "Elegant Stealth" tour begins in full force on Jan. 11 in Belgium and will take the band through Europe, North America and the UK. Steve Ozark, our booking agent in the States, also has his sights on some Brazilian dates! Check the website often for updates: www.wishboneash.com.

Panda – Progressive metal and fusion band from Estonia

X-Panda is a progressive metal and fusion band from Estonia. The band is known for their concerts full of emotion and power - pure pleasure for people who like to dream, imagine and feel. The music of X-Panda will move both experienced musicians and just music lovers. Their creations are full of surprises and changes of mood, sounds, complex rhythmical characters, rhythmic illusions, jazz-fusion chord progressions, mean and evil guitar riffs and in all this one can also find heroic film music melodies that you can sing along to.

X-Panda tries to expand their musical horizon and knowledge by creating technically and musically more entertaining music for themselves in the first place.

The band was founded as a one time project for an original song competition in april 2009. They ended up winning the competition with a song "Dickybirds". The feedback for such unusual music approach was extremely positive, so they decided to continue as a band. X-Panda has won several competitions, including the title Noortebänd 2010, which is one of the two biggest band competitions held in Estonia.

X-Panda released their debutalbum ´´Flight of Fancy´´ in september 2011
Kaarel Tamra about X-Panda:
"I think that it is unusual that four people can share the same musical interests. It is so cool that sometimes when beginning to describe a particular riff or pattern, they already know what to do without me even saying it. I find that really rare and special. We have a really good chemistry and we are all such good friends. The band is like a summer holiday -everybody is anxiously waiting for the rehearsals and concerts. They´re just so much fun, because we can do exactly what we want!"

X-Panda lineup:
Kaarel Tamra – keyboards
Risto Virkhausen – guitars
Tamar Nugis – bass and vocals
Karl-Juhan Laanesaar - drums

Main influences for X-Panda are:
Dream Theater, Planet X, Liquid Tension Experiment, Jordan Rudess, Virgil

Arena, Believe and Osada Vida recorded their live DVDs!

Last Thursday, on the 10th of November, Silesian Theatre in Katowice, Poland, for once more became the most important place for prog-rock fans, which was owing to special concerts played by three bands representing this particular kind of rock. The concerts were special because Arena, Believe and Osada Vida were recording their own live DVDs. Their release is planned for the Spring/Summer of 2012 on Metal Mind Productions.

The British band Arena visited Poland as part of the tour promoting their brand new album "The Seventh Degree of Separation". The album's official release date is set for the 28th of November and it opens a new chapter in the history of the band led since 1995 by two acclaimed musicians: Clive Nolan (Pendragon, Caamora, Shadowland) and Mick Pointer (ex-Marillion). The new material was recorded with a new singer, Paul Manzi (Oliver Wakeman Band), the bassist John Jowitt, who returned to the band's line-up after a several year break, and the guitarist John Mitchell. The show at the theatre in Katowice was enthusiastically received by Arena's fans. The band performed their brand new songs (The Great Escape, The Seventh Degree Of Separation, Rapture, One Last Au Renoir, The Ghost Walks, What If?, Burning Down) as well as a selection of songs from their previous albums (including The Visitor, Solomon, Crying For Help VII, Ascension).

You can view the photos from the show, taken by Marta Tłuszcz, HERE.

During the show in Katowice, Arena was accompanied by the bands Believe and Osada Vida.

The Warsaw band Belive performed mostly the material from their latest album "World Is Round", which was released by Metal Mind Productions in the Autumn of the previous year. Osada Vida is one of the most interesting Polish bands on the prog-rock scene. Their albums feature music that draws from the tradition of ambitious rock in the vein of Yes, Porcupine Tree, Pain Of Salvation, and Riverside. Their discography includes three demos and three well received official releases: "Three Seats Behind A Triangle" (2006/2007), "The Body Parts Party" (2008), "Uninvited Dreams" (2009).

ANUBIS GATE PREMIERE NEW VIDEO ON METAL INJECTION

ANUBIS GATE recently completed work on a video for their song "Golden Days". The song is taken from the band's latest self-titled release which is available now on Nightmare Records. Metal Injection is hosting an exclusive premiere of the video HERE

The music of ANUBIS GATE: Stylistically Anubis Gate is conglomeration of the classic 80's heavy metal, a more epic 90's ambience and a dark progressiveness of our days. You could describe it as metal with beautiful soundscapes, cool riffing, and a clear and powerful vocal performance.

The new album, titled simply ANUBIS GATE, is the most beautiful album the band has yet emerged with. The songwriting, which has always been the core of the "ANUBIS GATEsound", stands stronger than ever. This time emphasized by the fact that Henrik Fevre, who was largely responsible for writing the vocals on the previous albums, gets to sing the songs he wrote himself, injecting the emotion and meaning into the lyrics that he had in mind when writing them.

ANUBIS GATE isn't an album that's about endless keyboard/guitar unison soloing. It's all about the songs. From the classic Anubis Gate opener "Hold Back Tommorow" to the melancholic, but very crunchy, "The Re-formation Show", this album displays ANUBIS GATE at the top of their game while in no way rehashing their last two albums. Quite to the contrary, this album sees the band taking new turns whilst retaining the core of all the albums that came before.

The exclusive re-release of "Kaddish", the second studio album by Salem

Metal Mind Productions present the exclusive re-release of "Kaddish", the second studio album by Salem.

Salem is an extreme metal band from Israel, pioneers of the oriental metal movement and of the Israeli heavy metal scene. Much of their lyrics and music deals with political issues concerning the Jewish people and Israel with their music being a combination of doom/death metal with oriental elements and high-pitched screaming-vocals. The band was formed in 1985 along with the newly born extreme metal scene and soon released 2 demo tapes - "Salem" (1986) and "Destruction till Death" (1987). After five years of being underground, the band released another  demo, "Millions Slaughtered" (1990). The demo sold 1,500 copies and led to a record deal with the German label Morbid Records. Their first studio albums, "Creating Our Sins" (1992) and "Kaddish" (1994) were released by Morbid Records and became the first metal albums from Israel to gain worldwide success. "Kaddish" is a concept album about the Holocaust. The opening song, "The Fading," was played on MTV's Headbanger's Balls rotation and had the band elected as one of the 10 best up-and-coming bands in the world by MTV and Kerrang!. "Kaddish" also featured a cover song in Hebrew called "Ha'ayara Bo'eret" ("the small town is burning"). The song was originally a poem written in Yiddish by Polish-Jewish poet Mordechai Gebirtig in 1938, in response to the 1936's pogrom of Jews in the town of Przytyk near Radom, Poland. National controversy led to the Israeli parliament discussing whether it was appropriate for a metal band to play such songs. In 1998, now with Israeli label B.N.E., the band enlisted producer Colin Richardson (Machine Head, Fear Factory), who flew over to Israel to record "A Moment of Silence". The album was released in 1998. In early 2001, Salem signed a three-album deal with KMG/System Shock from Germany. Their fourth album, "Collective Demise", was released in 2002, and was the most aggressive Salem album to date. In 2005 Salem released "Strings Attached", which included 11 older songs now re-recorded with added string instruments. The album was also released as a special edition with a bonus CD, including 4 live performances from the Live Demise DVD, which was shot in July 2006. Salem's sixth studio album was "Necessary Evil" (2007). In June 2007 the band performed for the first time ever outside of Israel, during the Hellfest festival in France. Their seventh, most recent studio album, "Playing God and Other Short Stories" was released in 2010.

The exclusive re-release of "Kaddish" includes the exclusive bonus track – "The Edge Of The Void" (videoclip) . New digipak edition, limited to numbered 1000 copies. The release date is scheduled for 12th December (World ex. USA & Israel).

THINKING PLAGUE
Colorado-based THINKING PLAGUE explores the frontiers whererock, folk, jazz and modern symphonic music meet. THINKING PLAGUE hasestablished itself as the logical successor to HENRY COW and ART BEARS

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Thinking-Plague/171672812869502

HAMSTER THEATRE
Hamster Theatre is an ensemble that plays a fusionof jazz, rock, folk and world music and is influenced by 20th centurymusicians. There is no way to easily put them into a particular category asthey seem to cross borders between these various genres. This group was formedback in 1993 by Dave Wiley and Jon Stubbs formerly of Big Foot Torso (MarkFuller's band). Dave left that band and traveled Europe where he presumably wasinfluenced by music not commonly heard in the USA. The first lineup consisted ofDave on guitar, keyboards and melodeon, Jon on bass, greg LaLiberte onsaxophones and flute, Deborah Perry on keyboards and performing the vocals,Steve Doyle on guitar, and Josh Wright on drums. This lineup did some localgigs and released a low recording-quality cd called Songs From The HamsterTheatre (1995, Prolific Records). Eventually this lineup dissolved. A newrevamped lineup was formed in 1996 by Dave and Jon. In addition to them both itincluded Mark Harris (Thinking plague) on winds and reeds, Mike Johnson(Thinking plague) on guitar, Mike Fitzmaurice on bass and Raoul Rossiter ondrums.

THE RED MASQUE
The Red Masque is an original avant rock band fromthe Philadelphiaarea. Part art, part alchemy, the group's experimental songwriting style isboth angular and eerie, accented by freeform space rock improvisations, intricate acoustics, dark atmospherics and chunky riffs. Unconventional andeccentric in musical form, the sophisticatedly sinister The Red Masque fusestogether such disparate musical references as horror movie soundtracks,rock-in-opposition, progressive rock, experimental, zeuhl, heavy rock, gothic, psychedelia, space rock, and kraut rock.

SYRRAH
Years after Robert the Bruce's nephew'snephew swam to freedom, off the coast of Hi-Brasil(during the "Omission Apperance"). Syrrah began. Based out of Levittown, Pa,their music is an amalgamation of its members wide influences centered on adesire for growth and catharsis. Anything goes in the world of Syrrah, andtheir live show is a testament to that. Those blessed enough to have seen themin venues from Delaware to New York have walked away with a lifeexperience that rivals seeing the Virgin on your breakfast toast.

JOE MATERA Instrumental Rock Guitar

2011 has turned out to be quite a big year for Australian rock guitarist Joe Matera. Both his solo instrumental single 'Face Off' and his guest solo spot on UK metal legends Atomkraft's 'Cold Sweat' release, brought Matera's highly energetic, melodic and tasteful guitar playing to a wider international audience. Taking note of Matera's guitar prowess was European based label W.A.R Productions whom quickly signed Matera to a deal which sees Matera's new all electric solo instrumental EP Slave To The Fingers receiving a European CD release.

Slave To The Fingers features four brand new studio tracks, all showcasing Matera's six string talents at its best. The EP begins in bombastic fashion with a brief balls to the wall rocking interlude before Matera's tasteful melodic playing takes center stage on the title track 'Slave To The Fingers'. Underscored by some eclectic styling, the track also features a special guest appearance by guitarist Mick McConnell from legendary rock band Smokie who contributes a breathtaking guitar solo on the track. 'Cruise Control', leads the charge as the EP's first single and is a soaring melodious affair, peppered by harmony guitars and a spirit recalling the halcyon days of 1970's classic guitar rock. 'Out Of The Blue' shifts things into overdrive, with Matera's harder rocking elements coming to the fore, for an all out sonic ear assault before 'Face Off', Matera's first all electric instrumental single from earlier this year, and here being issued for the first time on CD, closes the EP majestically. The tight, rocking rhythm section backing Matera on Slave To The Fingers is comprised of Englishman Tony 'Demolition' Dolan (Venom, Atomkraft) on bass and American James Strickler (Angellic Rage) on drums.

Slave To The Fingers is officially released November 28th through W.A.R Productions (Europe) and Mercury Fire Music (Australia)

"Matera's made an EP with great crossover potential here: fans of tasteful rock guitar work will love it, but it's not simply 'guitar geek music' – just good music that happens to be slathered in lots and lots of guitar." – Peter Hodgson (I Heart Guitar Blog)

Profusion

The name "Profusion", a combination of "Progressive" and "Fusion", was chosen by the group at the end of 2002 just after nearly a year since its first formation "Mardi Gras Experience" (Vladimer Sichinava - drums, Jonathan Caradonna - keyboards, Marco Pieri - electric bass, a trio heavily influenced by American progressive rock of the '90s).

During the first year, the trio's line-up expanded with the entry of the guitarist Alberto Riggi and singer Alessandro Buzzo.

In 2003 flautist Fabiano Biagini joined the group. In July 2004, Profusion began to record their self-produced first album, "One Piece Puzzle", released only in 2006.

In late 2006, bassist Marco Pieri and flautist Fabiano Biagini decided to leave the band to pursue personal projects. In 2007, bassist Luca Cambi and vocalist-flautist Sara Pianigiani joined the group.

A slew of live shows brought the band on a tour around Italy. The group got through to the final of the "Trimis International Festival", reaching the 23th place out of 384 bands which came from all over Europe. Meanwhile, "One Piece Puzzle" was reviewed on www.progarchives.com and www.unprogged.it getting good grades.

In 2009 Irene Conforti, already included in "One Piece Puzzle", replaced Sara as second voice. The group continued to be engaged in live performances. The project's growth was followed by an increase of band members to achieve the thickness of performances.

In June 21, 2009, to mark the Tenth European Music Day, Profusion shared the stage with DGM and Vision Divine at the "Most Rock Concert" organized in Siena. In the meantime, guitarist Thomas Laguzzi joined the group, replacing Alberto Riggi.

On August 17, 2009 Profusion took part in the 9th edition of "La Città Aromatica", entirely dedicated to Demetrio Stratos. The group performed with Maestro Mauro Pagani, first violinist of PFM, for the reunion of the historic Italian progressive-rock band "AREA". In 2010 the band won the regional rock contest "Megarock". In June of that year the group entered the studio to start recording their second album "Rewotower".

During the recordings, singers Alessandro Buzzo and Irene Conforti allowed new pop-soul singer Luca Latini to take their place. He joined to the band project with enthusiasm. The new album witnessed the involvement of international artists such as Simon Hosford (Tommy Emmanuel Band, Virgil Donati's On the Virg), Italian jazz singer Titta Nesti and Georgian jazz singer Maia Baratashvili.

In autumn 2011 the band signed a contract with ProgRock Records. The American label will release "RewoToweR" at the beginning of 2012.

Free Label Sampler MP3 Album from Net Dot Music

Net Dot Music, an indie record label specializing in instrumental fusion - all-instrumental music that blends several styles and genres - has released a free mp3 album, with over eighty minutes of music, encompassing fourteen different releases from their artist roster, which includes:

Dave Kulju - Drawing from numerous influences across the musical spectrum, and a fertile imagination, his style of progressive rock is a colorful blend of textures, moods, and tones. A multi-instrumentalist, his releases feature an orchestral sound centered around the electric guitar.

Electrum - Instrumental prog rock power trio whose music emphasizes rhythmic ensemble interplay, complex arrangements - usually in Classical forms - and a thorough exploration of odd time signatures. Both their releases have been out of print in the compact disc format for years.

Gino Foti - Bass guitar and keyboard player whose releases feature a dynamic balance of world music, jazz-rock, and European classical elements. His music explores the relationships between diverse musical traditions, and the dichotomy of rhythm and melody of the bass guitar, by integrating ethnic sonorities into his fusion palette.

Massimo - Percussionist and keyboardist who composes and plays in various styles and genres, favoring high-energy improvisational jazz-rock. Appearing on his eight releases are an arsenal of established musicians, including: John Swana, Chico Huff, Steve Giordano, Jim Ridl, and Grammy® winner fusion legend Barry Miles.

Chris Rossi - Keyboard and electric guitar player, who has just released his debut album, that fuses elements of jazz, rock, blues, and space music into groove-based compositions featuring retro/vintage keyboards & atmospheric soundscapes over loop/sample-based rhythm section arrangements.

Fans of artists & bands as diverse as: Chick Corea, Cream, Miles Davis, Al Di Meola, Genesis, Jonas Hellborg, King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, John McLaughlin, Pat Metheny, Steve Morse, Mike Oldfield, Ozric Tentacles, Jaco Pastorius, Pink Floyd, Jean-Luc Ponty, Return To Forever, Rush, John Scofield, Tangerine Dream, Weather Report, and Yes will connect with the music on this album.

CAVO ANNOUNCES SPECIAL HOLIDAY PERFORMANCES & EXCLUSIVE DIGITAL EP on Cavomusic.com

St. Louis rockers Cavo have announced a series of special holiday shows set to take place in December.  The shows are all in conjunction with local rock stations in the Midwest.  Hot off the heels of a recent radio promo tour, the band is eager to get out and play some new tunes from their upcoming album Thick as Thieves.

The album's lead single and title track continues to gain momentum at active rock radio, pushing in to the Top 30 this week. In addition to climbing the charts, "Thick As Thieves" has been steadily winning head-to-head battles on radio station's websites, beating out bands such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters. "We've been itching to get out and play the new stuff for the fans," commented Cavo singer Casey Walker.

"These select few shows close to home are a great way for us to get in game shape in anticipation of a nationwide tour in early 2012!" Tour dates are as follows:12/6  The Pageant, St. Louis, MO (KPNT Ho Ho Show)12/7 Voodoo Lounge@ Harrah's, Kansas City, MO (KQRC Harley Party)12/9  Val Air Ballroom, Des Moines, IA (KAZR Not So Silent Night)12/10 Twisted Spoke Saloon, Tremont, IL (WIXO Nutcracker Hangover) Cavo has also launched their official music webstore at http://www.myplaydirect.com/cavo.

Fans can preorder the upcoming full-length album, Thick as Thieves (Feb, 2012), and receive an instant download of the limited edition EP, Sounds From the Hollow, which features select tracks from the upcoming album as well as two bonus tracks produced by James Michael, unavailable elsewhere.

Sounds From the Hollow track listing:Thick As ThievesLive Without It (Bonus)Hold Your GroundIdentity (Bonus)Thick As Thieves (Acoustic) The new Cavo EPK saw its premiere on Monday (11/14) on Alternative Addiction.com http://bit.ly/cavoepkaa.

The storyline traces Cavo's evolution over the past few years, and also features an Alternative Addiction exclusive interview with singer Casey Walker. Cavo experienced an incredible measure of success with its debut, 2009's Bright Nights Dark Days, which yielded the No. 1 hit "Champagne." The band's rise to the top of the charts and subsequent touring nearly tore them apart, leaving their relationships with each other and as a unit in shreds.  After a brief break and careful examination of their friendships and motives, Cavo decided to soldier on together.

Thick as Thieves is the band's testament to their bond that was once broken and has now been rebuilt and even strengthened. The title track and first single showcases front man Casey Walker's soaring vocals with a message furthering the notion that things are tighter than ever in the Cavo ranks. Formed in St. Louis in 2002, Cavo is Chris Hobbs (guitar), Chad LaRoy (drums), Brian Smith (bass) and Casey Walker (vocals).  The band's last album, Bright Nights Dark Days, was released on Reprise Records in 2009 and sold over 120,00 albums and over 450,000 singles.  Cavo has toured with Daughtry, Shinedown, Lifehouse, and Puddle of Mudd among others.
