KINO – launch stream of "I Don’t Know Why"

Kino are set to release their new album 'Radio Voltaire' on March 23rd, 2018, arriving 13 years after the band's much-loved debut 'Picture' back in 2005. It sees John Mitchell (It Bites, Lonely Robot) & Pete Trewavas (Marillion) teaming up once more, with Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson) on drums & John Beck (It Bites) guesting on keyboards.

Today sees the release of the third and final track to be taken from the album prior to release, titled 'I Don't Know Why', and you can listen to it here: https://youtu.be/zSEhyBbQbYM

Pete Trewavas comments: "This is a kind of Jellyfish/Queen inspired song which I wrote just towards the end of the first Kino album sessions. It was just too late to be on the record but I remember playing it to John Mitchell while we were at his finishing off the 'Picture' album. At the time I expected it to be on the second album, which never happened until all these years later."

Watch the video for 'Grey Shapes on Concrete Fields' here:

The album will be available on Limited CD Digipak (including bonus tracks), Gatefold 180g Double Vinyl (incl. CD) & Digital Download. Digital pre-orders on iTunes and Amazon receive 'The Dead Club' immediately. Pre-order now here: www.insideoutmusicshop.com

Recorded at the end of 2017, writing began at the end of that Summer. "We actually began the writing process in late August" says John Mitchell. "Pete had a few tunes and so did I, and we went from there." Mitchell and Trewavas were both a crucial part of the original band more than a decade ago, with the former providing lead vocals and guitar parts, while the latter played his trademark bass lines and also contributed backing vocals.

Keyboard player John Beck, who is also a bandmate of Mitchell's in It Bites, has been brought back. But while he was fully involved on the debut album, this time his role is that of a guest musician. "Yes, I am delighted to say we've gone John on board. His keyboard playing is splattered throughout the album, and I've also done the odd keyboard part myself." The task of drummer this time fell to Craig Blundell, as Mitchell explains: "This time around Craig was the obvious choice to be the drummer, as far as I was concerned. I have worked with him so much that there was nobody else in the frame."

Of the albums direction, Mitchell illustrates: "The title sounds very cool and obviously there's a connection with the band Cabaret Voltaire. But Voltaire himself (the 18th century French philosopher) had a fascination with death, which appealed to me. He also stood for freedom of speech and freedom of religion. On top of that, I love the idea of a radio station that would reflect his views on life and cut through the bullshit which seems to be all over politics. Now, that is the type of radio station I think would reflect what a lot of us want to hear."

The album cover has been designed by Paul Tippett, who is one of the most in demand artists of the modern era. "I like what he's done with this sleeve. It reminds me of Moulin Rouge meets 'Live And Let Die'. It is very striking, and I am sure everyone will have their own interpretation of what it reminds them of."

Karisma Records: TUSMØRKE Premieres Title Track from new Album "Fjernsyn i Farver"! (For listeners of Progressive Folk-Rock)

Norwegian progressive folk rock four-piece Tusmørke return with a new album entitled Fjernsyn i Farver on May 4th, out via Karisma Records. The band has teamed up with The Prog Sphere for an exclusive premiere of the title song.

Tusmørke is a psychedelic, progressive folk rock band from Skien, Norway. Fjernsyn i Farver ("Colour Television") is their 6th full length album, loosely based on two concepts of light, time and reality. How everything we see is a reflection made by light from the sun hitting an object - The reflected light is registered by our eyes, but the reflection is also sent out in all other possible directions, travelling at the speed of light. The unobstructed reflections would travel forever onwards into space. If we could devise a means to move faster than light, we could overtake these reflections and view them again, seeing history backwards The second idea is that light is not seen as anything until it hits something and is reflected back, creating an image in colour for the human eye. So if there were no physical objects to reflect the light, there would be an eternal totality, a darkness of sorts, since light would not be seen.

All very mind-blowing, but Tusmørke are not afraid of anyone or anything - not even bafflingly complex theories of existence. They gladly tackle, grapple and wrestle with ideas they barely comprehend, yet keenly perceive to be significant.

Tracklist
1. Fjernsyn i farver (Colour Television)
2. Kniven I kurven (The Knife in the Basket)
3. Borgerlig Tussmørke (Civil Twilight)
4. 3001
5. Death Czar
6. Tøyens Hemmelighet (The Secret of Tøyen)

• Psychedelic, progressive folk rock
• For fans of Høst, Van der Graaf Generator, King Crimson, Black Widow and Wobbler

Rock Legend TODD RUNDGREN Headlines Cleopatra Records First Ever SXSW Showcase!

Los Angeles, CA - One of the few remaining truly independent, privately owned record labels in existence today, L.A.-based Cleopatra Records has been championing underground music and outsider artists since its inception in 1992. Now, the label has teamed up with the biggest music festival dedicated to discovering and promoting new talent, SXSW, to announce the first ever official Cleopatra Records showcase. Headlining this special event is legendary songwriter/producer/guitarist, Todd Rundgren, an artist well known for pushing the boundaries of rock and pop with his distinctive flair for the eccentric and unusual. Todd's newest album, White Knight, was released by Cleopatra Records in May of last year and features guest performances by Trent Reznor, Robyn, Joe Satriani & more.

In addition to Rundgren, the showcase will also bring together some of the label's newest acts including dreamwave artist Pastel Ghost, whose first album Abyss has been reissued by Cleopatra and will also see their forthcoming album released later this year on the label. Alternative metal cabaret act from Mexico, Descartes A Kant, partnered with Cleopatra for their newest album Victims Of Love Propaganda in May of last year while L.A.'s own death rock architects, Egrets On Ergot, released Surfeit Of Germütlich last October. Electronic duo United Ghosts will issue their Cleopatra debut later this year while local Texas band Nite, consisting of twin brothers Kyle and Myles Mendez, saw their newest release Reborn launched in July of 2016. Each of these bands demonstrates the label's fondness for uniquely creative acts and a commitment to supporting truly artist-driven music.

The official SXSW showcase for Cleopatra Records will be held at Elysium in downtown Austin, TX on March 15th. The first band will start at 8pm.

Classic Rock Legends Wishbone Ash Hit the Open Road on Spring US Tour

Wishbone Ash, one of the most influential guitar bands in the history of rock, will be coming to the States in April 2018 on the Open Road Tour. True to its name, the tour will see the band clocking some serious miles as they return to America's Southern swath, from North Carolina and Florida to California. Longtime fans and new converts alike will revel in the group's signature twin-guitar mastery and powerhouse rhythm section as they present classics spanning their career.

Formed in 1969, Wishbone Ash is gearing up for its 50th anniversary on the heels of a limited-edition deluxe 30-disc box set, "Wishbone Ash: The Vintage Years," available April 2018 through Madfish Records while supplies last.

True road warriors, each year these British rock legends log around 30,000 miles, roughly equivalent to circumnavigating the earth. "We are breaking with our usual U.S. tour schedule and hitting the road early in 2018 to take in some cities that we haven't been to for quite some time," says founding member Andy Powell (guitar/lead vocals). "The tour will be heavy on Southern dates like North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and then into Texas, Arizona and, finally, California."

In the fall, the band will return to North America for some Canadian shows. "Everyone is rested and fighting fit, and looking forward to introducing new audiences to wunderkind Mark Abrahams on guitar, while hopefully surprising folks with some tunes from the vaults," Powell says.

Abrahams, who replaced 12-year veteran Muddy Manninen last summer, will be trading licks with Powell; he's already been earning rave reviews from fans on both sides of the Atlantic. Longtime rhythm section Bob Skeat on bass and Joe Crabtree on drums continue to provide the solid groove that is their hallmark.

Through the years the band has delved into various musical genres, from folk, blues and jazz to pedal-to-the-metal rock and electronica. Whatever the style, Wishbone Ash's hallmark is the distinctive twin-melodic lead guitar interplay that has influenced such bands as Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Iron Maiden and, more recently, Opeth.

"The band basically lives together year-round on the road, so we have a very strong level of communication that translates in our performances and recordings," says Powell. "We've come to an era where the industry has to pigeonhole a band as Classic Rock, Prog Rock, Heritage Rock and so on. The truth is that we have always kept our options open and always relied on the musicianship of the players to lead the way. It's fun to be stylistically diverse and this has, in its way, contributed to our longevity."

Wishbone Ash has to its credit 24 original studio recordings, 11 live albums and five live DVDs along with a DVD rockumentary ("This is Wishbone Ash"). Released April 2018, "The Vintage Years" 30-disc box set, three-and-a-half years in the making, is a special collection dedicated to the band's output from 1970 to 1991, including all 16 studio albums, three live albums, eight previously unreleased live shows from 1973 to 1980, a 156-page coffee-table hardcover book and an assortment of memorabilia. Also now available are the first official re-releases in decades of "Twin Barrels Burning" from 1982 and "Raw to the Bone" from 1985, plus definitive editions with all new 2017 remasters.

In 2015, Powell released his musical memoir, "Eyes Wide Open: True Tales of a Wishbone Ash Warrior," co-written with renowned Irish music journalist Colin Harper and now available in Kindle and Apple iBook formats. "It's quite an undertaking to put 46 years of being a touring musician in this one band into book form," he says. "I've seen a lot of changes in the music business and the world in general, as you can imagine."

There is no other rock band in history that has done more with the twin guitar concept than The Ash. Be sure to catch them on the Open Road US Tour in April 2018. Tour dates and more information can be found atwww.wishboneash.com.

Spock’s Beard announce 13th studio album ‘Noise Floor’

Legendary US progressive rockers Spock's Beard have announced the release of their 13th studio album 'Noise Floor' for May 25th, 2018. As announced previously, for this album Ted Leonard, Alan Morse, Dave Meros & Ryo Okumoto are joined in the studio once again by drummer & original member Nick D'Virgilio.

Spock's Beard is a band that is in a continual state of evolution, as is always the case with genuinely creative musicians. And their new album, 'Noise Floor', fits perfectly into this process.

"We are always about evolution, not revolution. But what we have done this time is make the songs more melodic," believes vocalist/guitarist Ted Leonard. "We still love our crazy prog, but now appreciate how important it is to grab people's attention early on."

As with all Spock's Beard songs, most of the new album was written by the individual members, and then brought to the rest of the band as high quality demos. "We all do this type of thing in our home studios," adds Leonard. "So, by the time they reach the stage where the entire band get to judge them, they are really developed, and therefore everyone can make a reasoned judgement."  Much of what you will listen to here is very much the product of fresh inspiration from the Californian band.

One key change on this album sees the return of drummer Nick D'Virgilio, who originally left in 2011. There are also two violinists, a cello player, a viola player and an English horn featured on the album, thereby giving the sound a slightly more evocative and persuasive twist.

The album was once again engineered by long-time collaborator Rich Mouser and will be released as a 2CD digipak (featuring an EP of material from the same sessions), gatefold 2LP + 2CD & as digital download.

The track-listing is as follows:

Disc 1 – Noise Floor
1.     To Breathe Another Day
2.     What Becomes of Me
3.     Somebody's Home
4.     Have We All Gone Crazy Yet
5.     So This Is Life
6.     One So Wise
7.     Box of Spiders
8.     Beginnings

Disc 2 – Cutting Room Floor
1.     Days We'll Remember
2.     Bulletproof
3.     Vault
4.     Armageddon Nervous

Look out for more information in the coming weeks!

John Fogerty's "Centerfield" to be reissued on April 6th; Special Record Store Day Limited Picture Disc Available...

Fogerty Set to Return to Wynn Las Vegas for Two Additional Residency Runs Spring Tour with ZZ Top

(Los Angeles, CA – March 6, 2018)   Originally released in 1985, Centerfield was John Fogerty's third solo album and reached No.1 in the US, going multi-platinum.  It features the perennial baseball season favorite, "Centerfield", and the Top 10 Hot 100 hit, "The Old Man Down the Road".  On April 6, just in time for the baseball season's opening week, BMG will reissue this fan favorite on vinyl featuring the original cover art, gatefold LP opening to reveal a bird's eye view of a classic baseball field, with Centerfield painted in the grass.  The LP will include the original nine tracks with a download card to access the two bonus tracks from the 2010 release.  The CD features digipak packaging with the full 11 tracks (nine from the original release + two bonus tracks from 2010).
Fans will also be able to celebrate a brand new season of America's Pastime with exciting, limited edition Centerfield items!   Pledge Music has exclusive bundles including Green Vinyl, felt pennants, baseball socks and more available to pre-order now.  And on Record Store Day, April 21st, an exclusive run of Centerfield 12" picture discs will be released.  This limited edition baseball image picture disc features the iconic title track on side A and the Top 20 hit, "Rock and Roll Girls" on side B.

Fogerty's iconic anthem not only topped the Rock music charts in its day, but was also a Top 10 album on the Country charts in an amazing crossover success.  The song "Centerfield" itself has been enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, playing continuously throughout the halls as a reminder of the joy the game brings to fan and player alike. After the stress of a tumultuous lawsuit by his CCR peers, Fogerty took a nine year break from the commercial side of music.  However, he wasn't idle.  In the time he spent on hiatus, Fogerty honed his musical talents and then returned to play every instrument appearing on the Centerfield album.

Said Fogerty of the album, "I decided that if I was going to do this record that I would learn every instrument myself and I did. It was cathartic and rewarding.  It was important to me after all that had happened that whatever I did, it had to be at the level I had set for myself. I hung in there practicing all those years to get good enough to make this record.  It was 10 years before Centerfield came out. I was thrilled beyond belief when it hit number one on the charts and my song Centerfield became an anthem to so many."

As co-founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty's career spans 50 years and he is hailed as one of the most influential musicians in rock history. As the writer, singer and producer of numerous classic hits including "Born on the Bayou", "Green River", "Proud Mary", and "Bad Moon Rising", Fogerty has been honored as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers by Rolling Stone. Earning induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Baseball Hall of Fame, he is also a New York Times best-selling author for his memoir, Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music.

Following another successful run at Wynn Las Vegas, which ended last month, Fogerty will return to the stage at the intimate Encore Theater for a highly-anticipated fourth engagement beginning this spring with additional dates this fall. Featuring his celebrated collection of Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) hits, the engagement will include 12 performances spanning May and October (Dates: May 2, 4-5, 9, 11-12 and October 10, 12-13, 17, 19-20). Fogerty will also join ZZ Top for the "Blues and Bayous Tour" this Spring, starting May 25 in Atlantic City before winding up on June 29th in Minnesota.  Fogerty is currently in the studio working on material for a new album to be released later this year via BMG.

The Great Gig Beyond 2001 - Paganini, McBroom, Deodato, Husband, Madore Prog Odyssey

On July 2016 French-Brazilian guitar virtuoso Marcelo Paganini had a "what if" moment and asked common friend Fernando Perdomo to help him get in touch with Pink Floyd's singer Durga McBroom about recording some vocals on a couple of songs. The stars were aligned, Durga was touring Italy and agreed to come to Marcelo Paganini's studio  in the Normandy's countryside in France  for a couple of days in early August.

They recorded a 4 songs EP  "B4ever now" being released digitally and on CD on CD Baby and digital platforms on March the first 2018. The songs are: "Crying with a smile", then 2 songs with jazz legend Eumir Deodato "2001" on keys: "Last BART to San Bruno" and "B4ever now". The last song is "2012 Space Traffic Jam", from the critically acclaimed album of same name released in 2014, like all the other songs on this EP. The songs  were all re-mixed and re-mastered. New arrangements with Durga's vocal make it a completely new musical experience. Even for those who know the 2014 versions. Prog rock jazz fusion for the digital space age, with guitar and vocals out of this world.

"Working with Marcelo Paganini was one of the most unique experiences of my career. It will make a great chapter in my autobiography. He is the quintessential mad prog rock musician - think of Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice, but instead of a magician's hat he is using a guitar to create a chaotic, mystical masterpiece." - Durga McBroom

Joking about the song title "2012 Space Traffic Jam", Marcelo Paganini laughs: "Looks like the UFO Space Traffic Jam is just above our heads on planet Earth, I mean...  Did you see the videos on the mainstream press? Too many UFOs to hide Mode: On..." The cosmic surreal cover art  featuring Marcelo Paganini, Durga McBroom and Eumir Deodato was done by French artist Raquel de Miranda.

Marcelo Paganini recorded all the guitars and most of the keyboards in all songs, Marc Madoré played bass and Gary Husband played drums. "I lived all my life to record with those wonderful musicians and specially with Durga McBroom. She have it all, her voice is pure passion and magical powers, she is simply the very best. Durga McBroom put my music in another dimension. And what a talent in front of a camera, just stunning... Miracles DO happen. Be careful about what you wish for: she came, she sang, then she left... Now I have the rest of my life to deal with it...  At least I have, and now with this release we all have, the music and the films... That I hope will bring more music and films together and specially live shows. Now Durga is living in Italy. Who will be the first prog festival to book us?"

Marcelo Paganini worked night and day for months on the "Crying with a smile" experimental short film, that will go into the film festivals circuit first, before being posted on the Internet. A 43 seconds teaser is available on YouTube and Facebook. "The song was about human life and death, when I lost my grand father in 1989. Then I moved to New York City... Lots of people everywhere in the free wild 90's Times Square.... It was all about people's life and death... But it changed after a river called 'Rio Doce', died in Brazil in 2015, because of greed. Nobody talks about it. Then the film became about the survival of rivers, oceans, blood, sweat and tears, in other words, life... The small village we see in the film with the wonderful bridge, the Sarthe River and the small chappell is Saint Cenery le Gerei in France. Just a few miles away from my studio". Another short film is on the making for the song "B4ever now".

Marcelo Paganini met Durga McBroom for the first time on Cruise to the Edge in 2015, after winning a Facebook contest at the last minute. Written in the stars? It was a life change experience for many reasons for Marcelo Paganini, "any prog rock lovers must go at least once in their lifetimes. Especially singers and musicians... A musical prog cruise with the coolest people inside that are your next best friends... In one word: GO. Thank you Larry Morand, I wrote a song about my cruise experience that will be on my next album called 'Captain's face' for the man I never met but had such a big impact in my life and musical direction. Since the McBroom sisters will already be on board, of course I dream about being booked on the next Cruise to the Edge."

Since the release of "2012 Space Traffic Jam" in January 2014, Marcelo Paganini toured Brazil in December 2014 to release the album there, making the musical film "First time in Rio" live. In the Fall 2017 Marcelo Paganini released the album in France at Reveillon Jazz Cafe in September. In October Marcelo Paganini made a new musical film "Live at Music Alençon" with new keyboard player Ricardo Fiuza, Marc Madoré on bass and Christophe Bras on drums. Some short videos published on Facebook already got thousands of views. More will be posted soon...

Lisa LaRue to Release New Retrospective Album “Origins” Featuring Gilli Smyth, John Payne, Michael Sadler and Others on Melodic Revolution Records

Recently signed to Melodic Revolution Records, keybordist & composer Lisa LaRue is set to release her new album "Origins" in April 2018! A double album celebrating 25 years and 11 releases by LaRue, "Origins" features some of the best musicians in the business: John Payne Asia, GPS), Michael Sadler (Saga), Mitch Perry (Talas, Aerosmith), Gilli Smyth (Gong), Don Schiff (Rocket Scientist, Kracked Earth), Federico Fantacone (Orchestre Celesti) John Baker (Forever Twelve, Mars Hollow) as well as Steve Adams, Brenda K, Michael Wheeler, Merrill Hale, Svetlan Raket (Par Lindh Project), John "Yafke" Timothy, Michael Alvarez.

Says Lisa, "The title takes it back to where it all started. Finishing a career, where one started. The photo on the back of the CD was taken on Burnett's Mound, an infamous site in Topeka, Kansas where I grew up, and where the photo of 'Kansas' was taken on the back of their first album. They were very influential and inspirational to me as a young keyboardist/musician growing up in Topeka. The Sunflower on the front represents my origins in Topeka, as well."

Lisa LaRue became the first female artist signed to the Sound of America Records label (SOAR) a sub label of Natural Visions, the first all-Native American record label founded by Grammy Winner and Motown producer Tom Bee. In 2008 Lisa was nominated for a Hollywood Music Award and was also awarded The Oklahoma Music Award for "Native American Artist of the Year." Her band 2KX was Nominated as Instrumental Band of the Year in 2011 by the Los Angeles Music Awards.

Lisa has also appeared on recordings by others, including Head Transfer Process (Stargazer), Esquire with Nikki Squire ("Stay Low"), Don Schiff, Ryo Okumoto, Oliver Wakeman, Steve Gresswell, Quester and Beyond the Labyrinth.

The songs on "Origins" were written and recorded over 25 years. Some in a small recording studio in Tahlequah, OK over a year's time with John "Yakfe" Timothy, and some in Los Angeles working extensively with John Payne as a co-producer, mixing engineer, bassist and vocalist. Also certain songs were known as some of the first prog projects done via internet transfer, and finalizes with "Sussuration" and "Lemniscate," completely produced and mixed by LaRue.

Says Lisa, "This album is extremely important - it's important to me, as it represents 25 years of my life, and some of the best work I've done with some of the best friends in the world. It's important because it represents the unity and bringing together of many musicians, big and small, through the universal language, music. Lastly, it's important to fans, as it represents some of the obscure work of many top-notch artists that they may not have in their collection. Melodic Revolution and Nick Katona have always been known for bringing artists together, so there is no better label to showcase this 25 year effort."

"Lisa has a unique perspective to her music. Her Prog rock style is highly influenced by her Native American roots. The listener is drawn in by the mystical and avant-garde approach. From my point of view it has always been a pleasure and great experience working on her music." - John Payne

"A very atmospheric composition, with a lovely tranquil finale. I hear a lot of my father's influence in it, a beautiful arrangement." - Aaron Emerson (son of Keith Emerson) regarding the song "Aspiration"

"Some incredible music with 2K9 and 2KX. 2K9 was the beginning….getting to know each other musically, hoping that what you submitted met the criterion, listening to each other's output and certainly not wanting to overplay. In my opinion though, this process came to fruition with 2KX's 'Fast & Blue': an accord harmonically, rhythmically, and melodically. I would call a musical synchronicity. Plus I had a joyous yet challenging time contributing!" -  Steve Adams, guitarist for Lisa LaRue Project 2K9 and for 2KX

In conjunction with the release of "Origins," Lisa would like to focus on licensing for soundtracks, television, etc., and being a guest orchestrator on other artist's projects. In closing she has this to impart, "This album brings together all of the messages of all of my albums. Heritage and culture, bringing people together from around the world, giving each other creative outlets, and finding your spirit means you've made peace with the world and yourself."

EMPHASIS: "SOUL TRANSFER" OUT IN MARCH 21

Second full-length album of Estonian progressive metal act Emphasis entitled SOUL  TRANSFER will be released worldwide on March 21 by Red Rivet Records (Japan).
SOUL TRANSFER is a masterpiece for the fans of old-school progressive metal, operatic vocals, and classical jazz. Heavy guitar riffs perfectly intertwined with complex rhythms and strong bass lines, melancholic melodies precisely developed with the delicate, noble and powerful voice of Anna Ganina.  In addition to the core line-up, five guest musicians took a part in the recording process, including two well-known Estonian jazzmen Raul Sööt (sax) and Allan Järve (trumpet). They brought the bright elements of classical jazz, which blend in powerful metal music without any discomfort.

Progressive metal band Emphasis was formed in 2010 by guitarist Pavel Korotaev and bassist Katya Gritskova. For the last seven years, the band released debut EP „Into Infinity"(2012), the full-length album "Revival" (2016) on the Italian label Underground Symphony,  and played dozens of shows across the Baltic States and Finland.

About the band:
Singer Ryan Hurtgen originally met Johannes Luley as a client in Luley's Los Angeles-based recording studio, My Sonic Temple. Luley, who was instantly impressed with his personality, song-crafting skills, and voice, asked Hurtgen to join him on a new project. This new group was going to continue the path Luley's former band Moth Vellum had set out on. The two became fast friends and soon put together a full band which would also include founding member Jesse Nason on keyboards. After releasing Perfect Beings (2014) and II  (2015) to critical acclaim, a few personnel changes occurred that left the band without a rhythm section. The guys decided they wouldn't be deterred, even by such a major setback. Instead, they hired Minneapolis transplant Ben Levin to play the drums on their next album, with Luley taking over the bass spot in addition to playing guitars. The result is the exhilarating double album, Vier. As the group got closer to completing the record, they approached InsideOut, whose label chief Thomas Waber had shown interest a couple of years earlier. The parties agreed to join forces and release the record in early 2018. Levin dropped out and progressive rock drumming phenom Sean Reinert joined the band to add even more life force to an already powerful and highly skilled group, which also includes Jason Lobell on bass. The band can be seen in its current lineup at RoSfest 2018, early May in Gettysburg, PA.

Perfect Beings are:
Ryan Hurtgen - vocals; piano
Johannes Luley - guitars; bass
Jesse Nason - keyboards
Sean Reinert - drums; percussion
Jason Lobell - bass
Brett McDonald - sax and flute

Gong Expresso's New Album “Decadence” Available For Pre-Order!

Gong Expresso's New Album "Decadence" Available For Pre-Order!

Featuring Gong Alumni Francois Causse, Benoit Moerlen and Hansford Rowe!

Montreal - Gong Expesso featuring Gong alumni Francois Causse, Benoit Moerlen and Hansford Rowe with guitarist Julien Sandiford's new album titled "Decadence" is now available for pre-order!

Says Hansford, " 'Decadence' is the title tune on the new Gong Expresso album. Here the word means 'falling away.' I hope this tune and all the music on the album somehow addresses this in an unadorned, direct way. When I play with these 3 musicians I am convinced there is something special happening, a coming together. Benoit Moerlen (vibes, marimba) and Francois Causse (drums, perc) and I began playing together in early 1977 in PM's Gong and our rapport is of the kind only long term relationships can provide. On the other hand Julien who is 25 has been alive less time than I have been playing with the others. Yet our musical relationship feels infinitely long. We are recording in two cities, Paris and Montreal. Francois' studio in Paris is a tuned percussion church and Piccolo Studios in Montreal is owned by Denis Savage who is co-producing with the band. He is known for his work with Celine Dion."

Featuring:
Francois Causse - drums, percussion
Julien Sandiford - guitar
Benoit Moerlen - vibes, marimba
Hansford Rowe - bass

PM's Gong was a major branch of the massive Gong tree. In the mid 1970's drummer Pierre Moerlen separated from Daevid Allen marking an end to the Flying Teapot period and a powerful jazz/rock unit was formed and signed to Virgin Records. Pierre's brother Benoit Moerlen, Hansford Rowe, Francois Causse, Allan Holdsworth were core members. Many major guests joined them both on albums and touring. Mick Taylor, Mike Oldfield, and French violinist Didier Lockwood were key participants. Mike Oldfield occasionally used the PMG rhythm section for touring also calling on members for albums such as "Ommadawn", "Incantations", "Exposed" and "Platinum." Pierre Moerlen sadly passed away on May 5th, 2005.

In concert Gong Expresso mines their huge repertoire and has exceptional guests joining them regularly. Along with the release of their new album, the band will be releasing a new video soon.

Gong Expresso's "Decadence" will be distributed digitally worldwide through The Orchard on Feb 20, 2018.
