The band was formed in 2001 by Piotr Brzychcy and Krzysztof Walczyk. The band members were heavily inspired by Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Uriah Heep and it was these influences that shaped Kruk's music, placing it within a classic rock framework. In 2006 Kruk recorded the album "Memories" with Grzegorz Kupczyk (Ceti's & ex-Turbo's vocalist). The album was a tribute to the aforementioned bands. In the next years, Kruk followed their own path and managed to forge their own sound. Their proper debut album entitled "Before He'll Kill You", released in 2009, was well received both by media and by music fans. The year 2011 marked the release of their second studio album. Doogie White (ex.Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tank)  made guest appearance on "It Will Not Come Back". The album was enthusiastically reviewed both in Poland and overseas. Kruk supported such legends of rock as Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Graham Bonnet, ex-singer from Rainbow, and Michael Schenker Group. In 2012 Kruk released the album "Be3". The band plan to release their new studio album "Before" on June, 9th in Europe and July, 8th in North America.

WAMI (White Appice Mendoza Iggy) - another track available for streaming !

WAMI, a new exciting project will see the light of day in two weeks time. The album entitled "Kill the King" will give a new meaning to hard'n'heavy music and today you can check another track promoting this release. "Transition" is available on Metal Mind Productions' official YouTube channel in THIS location.

The names associated with the project are true legends on the hard rock scene: on the vocals - Doogie White (Rainbow, Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen), on the drums - Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, DIO), on the bass - Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), who join forces with the 16-year-old Polish guitarist Iggy Gwadera, who made his debut 2 years ago as the guitarist of Anti Tank Nun.

The idea to record an album together was born after Thin Lizzy's concert in Poland. The bassist Marco Mendoza, delighted with the young guitarist Iggy, who supported Thin Lizzy with his band Anti Tank Nun, suggested that they record some music together. This first idea, which was maturing for the next dozen-odd months, eventually evolved into the project involving legendary musicians, who are currently recording a brand new album together with Iggy. The drummer Vinny Appice, renowned for playing in some of the best heavy metal bands of worldwide fame, as also the bassist Marco Mendoza have already finished recording bass and drum tracks in Los Angeles. In late November 2013, Doogie White confronted his vocal talent with Iggy's guitar technique during their recording sessions in Poland. Hard rock fans can well expect the results of these sessions to be truly outstanding!

Styx 'Paradise Theater' Album To Be Released On Limited Numbered Hybrid SACD!

"Styx's high-water mark...one of the greatest albums in rock history."

Camarillo, CA - Styx fans rejoice with the release of the band's critically acclaimed album 'Paradise Theater' on limited numbered Hybrid SACD by Marshall Blonstein's Audio Fidelity. Styx's 10th album, the 1981 release, 'Paradise Theater' was the band's fourth consecutive triple-platinum album. A resounding success, 'Paradise Theater' was their greatest commercial triumph and their only #1 album. It remains one of the best examples of the convergence between progressive rock and AOR which typified the arena rock sound of the top groups of the late-seventies and early-eighties such as Journey, REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick and Kansas.

Styx was a great group of talented musicians - Dennis DeYoung, Tommy Shaw, James Young, Chuck Panozzo and John Panozzo. The album included three Billboard Hot 100 hits, "The Best of Times," "Nothing Ever Goes As Planned" and "Too Much Time on My Hands", considered among Tommy Shaw's finest singles ever. Another track, "Rockin' The Paradise" reached #8 on the Top Rock Track Chart.

The concept album is a fictional account of Chicago's Paradise Theatre from its opening to closing, used as a metaphor for America's changing times from the late 1970s into the 1980s.

"...some of the best songs Styx would ever write!"

Cleopatra Makes 2014 The Year Of Amon Düül II!

Deluxe Vinyl Versions Of 5 Classic Amon Düül II Titles, And The Long Awaited Release of Their First Album In 20 Years Will Leave You Simply Düülirious!

Los Angeles, CA - On April 29, Cleopatra Records will roll out a series of limited edition deluxe vinyl re-issues of 5 landmark albums by one of the most influential experimental rock bands of all time, iconic German Krautrock legends Amon Düül II! Each album has been meticulously put together with digitally remastered audio made specifically for these re-issues, 180 gram colored vinyl packaged in glue-on heavyweight chip board jackets, and sequentially numbered. The first 2 re-issues to appear will be the spectacular 1969 debut album Phallus Dei and the hugely influential 1972 classic Wolf City. The following month will see the release of the 1971 double LP Dance Of The Lemmings, followed in June by 2 more - 1973's Vive La Trance and an extra special lenticular jacket printing of the group's masterpiece, 1970's double LP Yeti, which will be limited to just 500 copies.

As thrilling as these extraordinary releases are, what's more exciting is the long awaited return of this iconic German outfit after a nearly 20-year absence from the music world with a new album, Düülirium! This stunning new album features 3 of the group's founding members - guitarist John Weinzierl, guitarist/violinist Chris Karrer, and vocalist Renate Knaup - and will be simultaneously released on both CD and vinyl June 10.

"Amon Duul never used to present the same style on their albums," explains guitarist John Weinzierl. "We like to develop our music into all kinds of directions and sometimes we don't even know where it's gonna lead us. We don't follow a pattern only because it is successful. Since 2000 we've used lots of elements of world music, we had eastern influences, ethnological sounds, and of course we never forgot 'sound painting'." When asked if there was a concept behind this new album, Weinzierl expounded, "Avoiding industry music, heading for new frontiers."

Düülirium will be available at all fine music stores, including iTunes, starting June 10.

PYRAMIDS ON MARS - "Pyramids on Mars"
Pyramids on Mars is the expression of mystery, musical architecture, discovery of self, and reaching for enlightenment. It was the first day of grade 10 at Notre Dame Secondary School, Brampton. Kevin was sitting in his  home room class next to his friend Mike Rose.  Mike had on his portable CD player with a pile of cassette tapes next to him.  He turned to Kevin and said, "Hey Kev, you have to check out this guitar player Joe Satriani.  Here is his latest album Surfing With the Alien.  He is amazing!" Kevin listened to the entire album that day.  He then had an epiphany.  He wanted to play like Joe Satriani. Thus began years of guitar practice and dedication.  In high school, Kevin and his brother Craig (bass guitar) had a band called Deprived Youth and played after school events called  'Coffee House'.  At these events Kevin turned heads playing songs like Ice 9, Hordes of Locusts, One Big Crush,  and Midnight, by Joe Satriani.  They played band wars in Orangeville. He surprised the audience with the beautifully heartfelt song by Steve Vai, For the Love of God.

Eric Clapton's 'Journeyman' Album Feat. George Harrison, Chaka Khan, Daryl Hall, Robert Cray, Phil Collins and others Now Available On Hybrid SACD

"...one of the greatest rock/blues guitarists on the planet!"

Camarillo, CA - Much to the elation of Eric Clapton fans across the globe, Marshall Blonstein's Audio Fidelity has released Clapton's 'Journeyman' album as a limited numbered edition Hybrid SACD! Eric Clapton is a true legend. 'Journeyman' reached #16 on the Billboard album chart and became Clapton's first solo studio album to go double platinum. Like any of his best albums, there is no grandstanding to be found on 'Journeyman'...it's simply a laid-back and thoroughly engaging display of his virtuosity. The album was heralded as a return to form for Clapton, much of it has an electronic sound, mostly influenced by the 1980s rock scene, but it also includes blues songs like "Before You Accuse Me," "Running on Faith," and "Hard Times."

"At the center of it all is Clapton's guitar work...stinging blues and soaring pop."

There is an all-star assembly of guests: Dire Straits keyboardist Alan Clark, George Harrison, Chaka Khan, Daryl Hall, Robert Cray, Cecil and Linda Womack, Phil Collins and Gary Burton. Among the highlights are several cuts that feature slide-versus-slowhand guitar dueling with Cray. George Harrison is particularly impressive on his little masterpiece "Run So Far," playing guitar and singing harmony vocals.

A couple of tracks rank among Clapton's best from any decade. The strongest commercial single is "Bad Love," which won the 1990 Best Male Rock Vocal Performance Grammy Award, and reached the No. 1 position on the Album Rock Chart. "Pretending" is a firm mid-tempo rocker that also reached the No. 1 position on the Album Rock Chart and and includes one of his most assured vocal performances ever.

Clapton sounds more convincing than he had since the early '70s. Not only is his guitar playing muscular and forceful, his singing is soulful and gritty - he seems to have struck the perfect balance between the fiery blues of his youth with the pop flavorings of his later years.

TRACKS:

Run So Far

Exlibris return with a new video clip!

"Humagination", the most recent studio album by the Polish heavy metal band Exlibris was released in late 2013 and today, you can watch another video clip promoting the album. "Follow the Light" is available on Metal Mind Productions' official channel on YouTube in THIS location.

"It probably won't win any award but we had fun while making it and that's good enough for us. We recorded it during several performances in Warsaw, Poland and one long day in the beautiful city of Brno, Czech Republic!" – comments Misiek Ślusarski, the bands drummer and author of the video.

Combining the energy of traditional heavy metal and hard rock with melodic hooks and complex arrangements since the end of 2003, Exlibris stands for rockin' guitars, distinct rhythms, epic orchestrations and powerful lead vocals.  The band's sophomore release "Humagination" features 12 songs with fresh melodic heavy metal ideas, 3 guest appearances, stellar production, world-class vocals and catchy melodies – it's an ideal album that should appeal to fans of Dream Theater, Iron Maiden and Masterplan... The album was recorded in March 2013 and it was produced by Mariusz Konik and Robert Wawro from HZ Studio. The mix and mastering was done by Tomasz Zalewski in ZED Studio.

The band was formed in late 2003 by Daniel Lechmański and Piotr Sikora. Their first studio album "Skyward" from  2006 received quite good reviews. Over the next few years, the bands struggled with line-up changes within the rhythm section, but continued to create music and to play occasional concerts. In the meantime, Daniel Lechmański joined Chain Reaction and recorded three albums with them. Also, Piotr Sikora is a member of Leash Eye since 2009. In January 2012 the band started to record their second album - "Humagination". During the recording time, it turned out that their vocalist Marcin will not be able to complete the recordings. Krzysztof Sokołowski aka Mistress of the Night  became their new frontman. As a result, the recordings ended in early 2013.

Clark Colborn Releases Third Video to Promote New EP

New EP Frank Made Me Do It will be released on May 11th.

April 23rd, Rockford, IL – Clark Colborn just released a brand new
promotional video. It's the third in a weekly series to promote his
upcoming EP. The new EP will be titled "Frank Made Me Do It" and is a
tribute to Frank Zappa and his music. It will be released on May 11th,
the 21st anniversary of the release of Zappa's Shut Up 'n Play Yer
Guitar. The new video is promoting a tune called "The Stalker Song."
It showcases parts of the song along with information about it and can
be seen athttp://youtu.be/mwqmyXeTvTU. The first two videos in the
series live athttp://youtu.be/KT-JrOaliJM ("Gimpy the Weasel")
andhttp://youtu.be/NzDqCXzo2YI ("Elephant Hoosegow").

Clark Colborn is an American rock guitarist, composer and recording
artist. Born and raised not far from Chicago, Illinois, he has been a
performing musician most of his life. Not following the beaten path is
in his nature, and it shows in his guitar playing and his song
writing. His adventurous and innovative disposition has made it hard
to pigeon-hole his genre, yet his unique sound has garnered him fans
of every variety. Colborn spent years on the stages of roadhouses &
rock venues throughout the Midwest with bands such as Cheater,
Blackjack, and Sleight of Hand, before stepping fully into the
spotlight as a solo artist.

Over the years Colborn has gotten some great reviews. His first album
had critics saying things like "Listening to the CD takes you back to
the days when Randy Rhodes and Eddie Van Halen turned playing guitar
into an art form" (Gregory Johnson of Beetcafe.com). Michael Molenda,
Editor in Chief, Guitar Player Magazine had this to say about that
same set: "Clark Colborn's fat and massively effected tone comes on
like Godzilla, and it shifts between slinky, silky, scary, spiky, and
searing. ...his brilliantly schizoid technical/primitive approach to
the guitar is pretty exciting. In short, he rocks."

When reviewing his second album at Prognaut.com Chris Erbeck said,
"Clark's guitar prowess is evident. The man plays guitar like a
journeyman. I could hear echoes of the heavier side of 70's prog,a
thread moving throughout that makes me think of Martin Barre on "Thick
as A Brick"." At Wormwood Chronicles, Doctor Abner Mality said, "Clark
Colborn plays guitar. That simple statement sums up a lot. In
fact,Clark doesn't merely play guitar, he attacks it, he soothes it,
he coaxes all manner of sounds from it. The guy is a guitar virtuoso,
but much more tasteful than a mere 'shredder' who makes the instrument
beg for mercy with endless neoclassical arpeggio blasts and brutal
polyrhythms."

Clark Colborn says this about Zappa: "Frank Zappa's total musical
fearlessness, sense of humor, and sense of absurdity totally
captivated me when I was a teenager, and over the years he has been an
influence on me in so many ways that it is hard to describe." Colborn
goes on to say, "I've never tried to be a clone of Frank or to write
music that sounded like him. I have always tried to be me, and just
let the principles Frank embraced guide me at times when I felt lost.
This has led to musical compositions that didn't really fit with most
of what I do as a solo artist stylistically." When it comes to this
particular project, Colborn says, "I want my fans to hear how he has
influenced me, so I put four of my songs that FZ inspired me to write,
plus a cover of his immortal "My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama"
together on this new EP. They are a little crazy, musically,
lyrically, or both, but it is not my fault, really. Frank made me do
it."

For more information you can check out Clark Colborn on the web
atclarkplaysguitar.com and facebook.com/ClarkColborn. Colborn's music
is available at: iTunes, Google Music, Amazon's MP3 store, CD Baby,
Great Indie Music (http://www.greatindie.com/) and Bandcamp. While
availability of individual items might vary at those locations,
everything is available at Colborn's web

ANTON ROOLAART - "The Plight of Lady Oona"
Anton Roolaart is a Dutch-American solo artist and composer. Early in his childhood he was exposed to classical music from his father, who was a serious music enthusiast. He also grew up listening to classic rock and "progressive rock" bands since the early 70's. He was particularily interested in the music from the likes of Pink Floyd, Bowie, and Yes, just to name a few. After the age of 12, his father had left the family and he grew up with his mother. At the age of 13 he started taking classical guitar lessons after his mother bought him his first classical guitar. After the well received debut Art-Rock album Dreamer in 2007, Anton has come back as an independent artist with an exciting new album entitled The Plight of Lady Oona which features a special guest appearance by Annie Haslam. The tracks were recorded in the US and The Netherlands during the last few years. Anton's music portrays the quintessence of melodic progressive rock accompanied with lush orchestration, and this new release is certain to capture the listener's attention once again.

PERFECT BEINGS - "Perfect Beings"
In November of 2012 Luley approached Hurtgen about collaborating on a progressive rock project. It was Luley's intention to create an album that honored the style and live musicality in traditional Prog rock mediums. Hurtgen, a fresh songwriter transplant to California via Nashville, TN, agreed and began writing sketches for a concept album based on author Suhail Rafidi's novel, TJ & Tosc. Over the course of 2012 and 2013 Luley and Hurtgen composed and orchestrated the Perfect Beings Project. With the help of drummer Dicki Fliszar, keyboardist Jesse Nason, and bassist Chris Tristram, the five players began rehearsing the songs to record a live record in the same fashion as the Progressive Rock acts of the Golden Era. In April, 2013 with the help of engineer Julian David, the band recorded Perfect Beings in a span of 3 weeks at My Sonic Temple studio in Los Angeles. The album's vision is splendid and unique. Eleven songs executed by five men. Lyrics to synthesizers with their own weather system - care to every note! Perfect Beings has spun blood, sweat, and tears into aural magic - a time bending, reality making, journey of discovery.

LATTE E MIELE - "Passio Secundum Mattheum - The Complete Work"
Back in a big way for Latte e Miele, the group that more than any other is that branch of the Italian progressive rock defined "Rock Symphony". And symphonic, almost cinematic, are the atmosphere and the new arrangements with which the Ligurian quartet gave birth to "Passio Secundum Mattheum , the complete work", a remake of the first album, released in 1972, with the addition of 7 new songs and new recited that will be published by the Genoese label Black Widow Records already responsible for the return of the other great Italian prog bands like Delirium, Nuova Idea and Gleemen. A review after a distance of forty years, which gives a new vigor and a new perspective to their work. The songs composed by Oliviero Lacagnina (keyboards) with guitarist Marcello Giancarlo Dellacasa are implemented by the new compositions with texts by Massimo Gori (bass and vocals) and drummer Alfio Vitanza, which alternates in Gori in the vocal parts, joins in mixes with Aldo de Scalzi, co-producer of the project realized in its studios Trancendance. The arches of the Gnu Quartet and the chorus lyric "mixed class " enrich the sound. But the surprises do not end there: to record the recitatives of the Gospel of Matthew were asked some of the biggest names in Italian prog (ALDO DE SCALZI - GIORGIO D' ADAMO - PAOLO GRIGUOLO - SILVANA ALIOTTA - SOPHYA BACCINI – PAOLO CARELLI- ELISA MONTALDO - ALVARO FELLA – MAX MANFREDI - SIMONLUCA - ROBERTO TIRANTI - LINO VAIRETTI) to celebrate as the "first forty years of band history. The album is dedicated to DON GALLO.

Strange Land are a three piece who certainly like to make a lot of noise with their cerebral progressive rock/metal ... well, I said noise? Yes, but I meant it in a good way, as the Wisconsin-based band pays a lot of attention also to melody, not only to the complexity of guitar riffs. Strange Land has morphed through many forms since it's inception in 1999. Currently a two man studio project, this incarnation of Strange Land is about to begin releasing new music. These song reflect both a stripped down, raw approach, and a renewed joy in living in the sandbox of the studio environment.

PROGRESSIVE ROCK & PROGRESSIVE METAL - E-ZINE - Recommends

THE MERLIN BIRD - "Chapter and Verse"
Based in Melbourne, Australia, The Merlin Bird play a sort of atmospheric rock that draws on elements of classical, Middle-Eastern and folk music.   They are currently working as a collaborative two-piece, which means that friends and fellow musicians come up with most of the good ideas for their songs, while they shamelessly take all the credit. The album contains thirteen tracks, which range in length from a rather perfunctory sixteen seconds, to your more quasi-epic seven minutes-ish.  We hope we've managed to walk the line between keeping everything coherent, while still visiting a range of musical styles. We know we've said it before, but there's nothing like rock music for allowing you freedom of musical expression. It's really nice to be able to mix Gregorian chants with a bluesy sort of piano, and to crank up the power lead solo a few songs after your renaissance harpsicord number.  We've experienced all the usual difficulties and frustrations in making this CD, and been lucky enough to enjoy moments of joy as well; we hope that all those feelings somehow come through.

DUSAN JEVTOVIC - Am I Walking Wrong?

The spectacular international debut of Serbian born and Barcelona (Spain) based guitarist, Dusan Jevtovic, is an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride, full of twists and turns that you never see coming. Am I walking Wrong? showcases moments of immense raw, explosive power, interspersed with swatches of playful dissonance, contemplative ambiance, riveting r'n'b-tinged grooves, authoritative rock vamps, and more. The tight, abundantly-capable trio confidently stride through an engaging set of original barn-burners that are as catchy and accessible as they are spellbinding and unpredictable. Dusan wastes no time in making it clear that he is a vastly accomplished player, with a host of brilliant tones in his arsenal. Armed with a vocabulary most players would kill for (Oz Noy or John Frusciante meets Robert Fripp, maybe? ...), this session cooks on high heat, providing fans of stellar guitar work – especially the die-hard "tone freaks" out there! – plenty of choice morsels into which to sink their teeth. Continually pushing the envelope throughout a set which features a stream of unique, intrigu- ing compositions, Jevtovic delivers the sonic goods with a style and flair that is mesmerizing; and his technique is flawless. Throughout this most enthralling of efforts, his axe work is anything other than what you might expect, but always brilliantly conceived and brilliantly executed. There are a ton of surprises lurk- ing – and they're all good!

Despite the songs' innate complexities and genre-blurring proclivities, his backup never fails to perfectly compliment affairs. (...and in terms of musical stylings, they cover a lot of ground here.) Clearly, this is Dusan's show, but wherever he ventures – and venture he does! – his band is always right there: perfectly in step with him. The structures and themes featured on this album are refreshingly unorthodox, sophisticated and compelling. The group handles tight corners effortlessly, and maneuvers assuredly around whatever obstacles get throw into their path. (...and, in that regard, there never seems to be a shortage: these guys just don't sit still for very long!) Odd time signatures, sudden mood swings and radical changes of direction abound, but all are handled with an unshake- able grace and radiant poise. Without question, this is a group of highly-skilled musicians with tremendous chemistry who aren't afraid to frolic anywhere; nor are they even the slightest bit hesitant or intimidated by any such prospects.

Beyond meeting the rigorous demands of building off of such an aggressive, ambitious set of musical blueprints, Dusan and company genuinely sound like they are having a blast. Even in their most tense, suspenseful moments, there is a sense of joy and inhibition that still manages to seep through. This is pro- gressive music at its most creative, and its most artfully- and skillfully-conveyed ... it just doesn't get any fresher or any more fun. With this fabulous release, Dusan Jevtovic has immediately cast himself as a vital, articulate new voice on guitar – undeniably world-class, but nearly impossible to categorize or pigeon- hole. His style and voicings are not confined by genre, or even hampered by preconception, but wreak of a level of excellence and an insatiable creative genius that most of his contemporaries can only hope to one day attain. With this fabulous release, Dusan Jevtovic has immediately cast himself as a vital, articulate new voice on guitar -- undeniably world-class, but nearly impossible to categorize or pigeonhole. His style and voicings are not confined by genre, or even hampered by preconception, but wreak of a level of excellence and an insatiable creative genius that most of his contemporaries can only hope to one day attain. Guitarists this profoundly original, spontaneous and gifted don't show up too often.

On this album Dusan Jevtovic is accompanied by Catalan fretless bass guitarist Bernat Hernandez (a well known on the local jazz and pop scene in Barcelona), and Serbian drummer, based in New York, Marko Djordjevic ("world class drummer" and "a true innovator", as quoted by Modern Drummer Magazine, who has played on over 40 albums and has thousands of live performances to his credit with Matt Garrison, Wayne Krantz, Jonah Smith, Garry Willis, Bill Frisell, Lionel Loueke, Aaron Goldberg, among others, and who leads his own jazz band SVETI. Marko Djordjevic has recently joined other two NYC based musicians: Beledo on guitar and Clint Bahr, formerly of TriPod on 12-strings bass guitar, for another MoonJune's project THE PLEBS, to record their debut album in early 2014.)

Dusan Jevtovic will actively tour in 2014 in Spain, territories of the former Yugoslavia, occasional festival in Europe, and above all, a short tour of the North-East USA with some new exciting recordings with NYC based musicians.

Transport Aerian To Release LOVE.BLOOD.LIVE

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release by Transport Aerian
is a new nine track live album called LOVE.BLOOD.LIVE

Transport Aerian releases its 4th album on April 22nd 2014, and the
2nd one for Melodic Revolution Records. LOVE.BLOOD.LIVE features
Hamlet on Vocals, guitars, keyboards, bass, sampling, and programming
as well as the addition of Stefan Boeykens on Guitars & guitar loops,
the new collaboration really seems to add some brilliant textures to
the fabric of this live album. Unlike traditional live albums
which feature the shrill of a live audience or an enhanced overdubbed
audience to make you feel like the album is a massive hit, this is not
what you will hear on LOVE.BLOOD.LIVE as it was recorded direct from
the board with no overdubs. Instead you will experience the raw
emotion and energy of this performance.

LOVE.BLOOD.LIVE is the follow up to Bleeding released in 2013 and
reissued as 24 Bit-Remaster on March 18th 2014.

Track List:
Love, Inspire, Fog Vision, Float, Nightsky, Winter, Minor Moody,
Triangle Town and Radio Void.

According to the band:
Transport Aerian had an opportunity to perform a number of live shows
supporting the album Bleeding, which was released in 2013 and recently
reissued in High-Definition deluxe version. We are aware, however,
that there are plenty of music lovers all around the world who are
unable to come and see us live, as Transport Aerian has never been a
'local' type of band due to its musical and spiritual nature.

This brought the idea to make live recordings of the program which we
are playing during our shows now, so that those who enjoy Transport
Aerian but can't attend the shows would be able to hear it, feel it
and enjoy it, too. LOVE.BLOOD.LIVE, set consists of the core songs
from the most recent album Bleeding, alongside with some Stefan's
instrumental compositions based on real-time guitar looping and a bit
of material from project's album Blessed (2009).

Robin Trower Redefines R&B Power Trio On 1974 Bridge Of Sighs In The Studio Celebrates Album’s Anniversary

Dallas, TX - April 22, 2014.  North American syndicated Rock radio show and website InTheStudio: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands celebrates the 40th anniversary of Bridge of Sighs, the breakthrough solo effort from former Procol Harum guitarist Robin Trower.

Robin Trower got his musical career start with The Paramounts, an early sixties British rhythm'n'blues band, who were a favorite opening act for fledgling up & comers The Rolling Stones. Paramounts singer Gary Brooker would leave and form Procol Harum producing the international hit "A Whiter Shade of Pale", and that initial success would lead to the addition of Trower's services in Procol Harum for the next several albums.

Robin Trower would leave the security of Procol Harum to embark on a solo career fashioned around an R&B trio that in April of 1974 would produce their second album, the monster effort Bridge of Sighs.

A Top 10 album in the U.S., Bridge of Sighs opened with the galloping "Day of the Eagle", transporting listeners into an almost alien world in the title track "Bridge of Sighs", seducing them with the late Jimmy Dewar's voice on "In This Place" and "About to Begin" , while rocking out again on "Too Rolling Stoned", "Fool and Me", "Lady Love", and "Little Bit of Sympathy".

On Bridge of Sighs 40th anniversary, Robin reflects on his role in the evolution of blues rock guitar in popular music with InTheStudio host Redbeard.

"I always saw myself as a Rock and Roll player influenced by Blues/Rhythm and Blues rather than trying to think of myself as a blues or rhythm and blues player, because it can only ever be an imitation for a white guy to do that stuff."

International Prog Ensemble Sontaag To Release Epic Space Opera

In the grand tradition of high concept progressive rock comes an epic cross-media hybrid where cerebral science fiction meets visceral rock 'n' roll. Sontaag's eponymous debut album has been described as 'the space opera that Pink Floyd never wrote', 'a modern-day Tubular Bells', 'a prog-rock War Of The Worlds', but no reference point or sound-bite nails its seamless combination of space rock, narrative spoken word, and evocative ambience quite as neatly as 'sonic cinema'. Recorded in New York City and London, co-produced and mixed by Youth (Killing Joke, The Fireman) for Big Life Management, 'Sontaag' is a stunning and immersive listening experience. An evolutionary progression combining cutting edge sounds with classic dynamics, adapting the rock experience for today's digital environment.

Arriving in a landscape where music, books and movies often co-exist on a single handheld device, 'Sontaag' represents a seamless fusion of the finest elements of all three.

Sontaag features Richard Sontaag (composition, instruments, concept, co-production) and Ian Fortnam (story, lyrics, voice, concept).

'Sontaag' is a cross-generic space rock grand opera: a transcontinental project fast-tracking contemporary music into a cinematic future by refusing to recognize boundaries geographic or stylistic. Imagine stratosphere-scraping Pink Floyd dynamism powered beyond the boundaries and constraints of gravity by the propulsive sonic energy of a visionary Youth production job; a Star Wars saga psychedelicized by the vivid ambient shades of an Orb sound palette.

Sontaag is evolving rock for the cybernautic age and the digital environment by adapting and applying audio-visual and spoken word elements holistically, progressively… super-sonically.

Voyage beyond trad-rock constraints, shame faux modernity with inclusive, multi-dimensional progression and embrace the ever-expanding horizons of cyber-sonic possibility.

Pucker up and kiss… the apocalypse.

Amazon: listen the new song "The Path"

The track is extracted from "RISE!", new album of the band produced by Sander Gommans and Amanda Somerville

If you are a symphonic metal fan and are into the Brazilian bands, you surely knows Amazon.

After all, the band's debut album "Victoria Regia" (Hellion Records - 2005), was very well received by press and public at the time and allowed Amazon to play important shows with Nightwish and Epica in Brazil. In 2010 the band's second album was released, "Nature's Last Ride", and it got the same warm reception that its predecessor.

Four years later, the band formed by Sabrina Todt (vocal and flute), Renato Angelo (guitar and keyboards), Andre Pedral (bass) and Marcos Frassao (drums) announces the release of its third studio effort.

Titled "RISE!", the album will bring the tracks "The Path", "Ball Of Vanities", "New Horizons", "Prisoners Of The Sea", "Sins", "Time", "Immortal", "Three Lives", "Bittersweet" and "Suicide Note".

"RISE!" was recorded at The Rock Station studios in Reuver, Holland, and brings two very respected producers: Sander Gommans, founding member of After Forever, and Amanda Somerville, famous vocalist with participations in bands like Avantasia, Aina, Epica, Edguy and Kamelot.

Besides appearing as producers, both also co-wrote some songs from "RISE!" and Gommans also does some special participations in some songs as musician.

The track "The Path" is already available for listening on Soundcloud.

https://soundcloud.com/amazonmetal/the-path

"This song is one of my favourites from RISE! Check out the great orchestration job by Ivo Van Dijk", declared the guitar player Renato Angelo.

Amazon still studies some record labels proposals, but guarantees that "RISE!" will hit the stores before the end of the first semester of 2014.
