If you are a symphonic metal fan and are into the Brazilian bands, you
surely knows Amazon.
After all, the band's debut album "Victoria Regia" (Hellion Records -
2005), was very well received by press and public at the time and
allowed Amazon to play important shows with Nightwish and Epica in
Brazil. In 2010 the band's second album was released, "Nature's Last
Ride", and it got the same warm reception that its predecessor.
Four years later, the band formed by Sabrina Todt (vocal and flute),
Renato Angelo (guitar and keyboards), Andre Pedral (bass) and Marcos
Frassao (drums) announces the release of its third studio effort.
Titled "RISE!", the album will bring the tracks "The Path", "Ball Of
Vanities", "New Horizons", "Prisoners Of The Sea", "Sins", "Time",
"Immortal", "Three Lives", "Bittersweet" and "Suicide Note".
"RISE!" was recorded at The Rock Station studios in Reuver, Holland,
and brings two very respected producers: Sander Gommans, founding
member of After Forever, and Amanda Somerville, famous vocalist with
participations in bands like Avantasia, Aina, Epica, Edguy and
Kamelot.
Besides appearing as producers, both also co-wrote some songs from
"RISE!" and Gommans also does some special participations in some
songs as musician.
With half the band now living in Europe, Amazon invested in the
possibility of signing an international record deal. They were very
successful and inked a deal with nothing but Ravenheart Music, British
label that is specialized in female rock/metal bands.

Engineers, AllMusic.com debut new track "Bless the Painter"

For the ones who can´t afford a hotel, we'll give the chance to sleep in the venue (please bring your sleeping bag and air mattress). How does this work? After the last concert of the day, we'll ask everybody to step out of the venue for a few minutes. During that time the venue and toilets will be cleaned and the floor covered with a plastic sheet. Some nice movies, broadcasted on a big screen will help you to fall asleep. Coffee and bread rolls will be offered for cheap in the morning to get you fit and ready for day 2 of the festival!

Classic Rock Ensemble Vespers Nine To Release Debut CD 'True Story'
Miami, FL - Much to the excitement of music fans worldwide, classic rock ensemble Vespers Nine will be releasing their eagerly awaited debut CD 'True Story' on September 27, 2014. Vespers Nine, a five member premier classic rock band based out of South Florida, launched in late 2012. Made up of well-seasoned musicians, the band is a versatile, high energy rock band, that also writes and performs it's own original music. Musical influences include Foreigner, Journey, Heart, The Beatles, Queen, Van Halen, Styx, Rush, Metallica and Boston to name only a few.
The entire 'True Story' album was recorded at AfterHours Recording Studio, in North Miami, and all songs were produced by the accomplished and renowned music producer, Hal Batt. The recording of the album spanned over the course of several months, with sessions running sometimes as short as several hours, to well up to 12 to 14 hours straight, for several days in a row, in some cases.
Says bassist Gricel Julie Dosal, "There is no cumulative meaning or concept for the CD as a whole other than five musicians coming together for the love of rock music and the inspiration it brings. The desire to form an alliance built primarily as a vehicle that allowed for free creative expression; an outlet for creative energy that each member was searching for, and which made this band's formation easy. A true labor of love that came together quite naturally. A very inspired and collaborative effort of five individuals with similar musical tastes and influences that lent itself to a seemingly effortless flow of ideas when it came to songwriting. Each song written became a story reflecting the band's growth and evolution at the time it was written. So in essence, if one had to describe the concept behind the CD, it is essentially the True Story of the group's desire to write, play and explore music as first and foremost, a labor of love."
Along with the CD release, Vespers Nine has filmed a new video for the song "Forever Yours", which is primarily a story of love and hope. It represents a similar theme as does the name of the band, Vespers Nine; that being, everlasting devotion. The video was completely shot in South Florida, by acclaimed filmmaker, David Liz, a native Floridian, as are all of the band members, but one. The storyline was conceptualized by lead singer, John Simon and bassist, Gricel Julie Dosal, with the help of Liz, who together formed a visual message of unending commitment, loyalty, devotion and love.

Vespers Nine was recently featured in the PBS television debut episode of 'The Gig' - like a local version of VH1's 'Behind the Music' docu-series but without the drama - which began as a four-minute web episode last spring and has evolved into a 30-minute TV program. WPBT is looking to make "The Gig'' a full-fledged series next year. Cameras capture band members laying tracks in a North Miami recording studio, where they explain how Heart, Metallica and Toto became their musical influences. (If you're wondering about the band's name, members explain that it came from a poem by S.T. Coleridge.)
Gricel explains, "During one recording session, a local PBS television show titled 'The Gig' was filmed in studio, highlighting Vespers Nine, which was used to create the pilot for the series designed to showcase up and coming musical talent. The show featured Vespers Nine, with shots of the band laying down tracks to the songs 'Heart Wide Open' and 'Waiting For You', as well as interviews and a subsequent performance before a live studio audience shot at a later date."

JOHN SIMON (Lead and background vocalist), a seasoned musician fronting the band's lead vocals, offers an amazing full range voice and brings an ability to sing just about anything to the band. His versatility, vocal power and control allows the group to do a wide range of musical styles, while always maintaining a rock feel. John is also an accomplished drummer and percussionist.
JAMES MARTINEZ (Lead and rhythm guitarist, background vocalist), is also a well seasoned player who, with his wealth of live performance experience, adds his unique playing style that includes fierce solos, and everything from heavy crunch rhythm parts, to haunting clean sounds - running the gauntlet of guitar. All in all, James incorporates a dazzling array of guitar techniques and sheer intensity into the songs that he has written or collaborated on. Nergard reveals title and coverart for new album
Nergard's new album "A Bit Closer To Heaven" is in the finishing stages right now, after four years of songwriting and recording. This is an album that have been rewritten three times and the mastermind behind the project, Andreas Nergård, have probably ditched 120 minutes of music to end up with the remaining 11 songs which he believe is high quality Melodic Metal. "A Bit Closer To Heaven" is the second and last act of the Memorial for a Wish musical. The first act was released last year and received great reviews from all over the world. Nergård is aiming for mixing/mastering in the beginning of October and hopes for a spring release in 2015.

More heavy and progressive than its predecessors, the new album, fully instrumental, is inspired by Alberto's vision of our contemporary society. "I think that everything is going too fast today and one of the reasons is technology: hyper fast communications (mostly through social networks), multitasking activities, tons of information as well as misinformation, products, services... In a couple of words - we are OVERLOADED! The Internet has changed our lives, and even though it is indeed a great tool we have to be careful and use it judiciously. Excessive use may cause several diseases such as stress, depression, and social isolation." explains Alberto.

Exlibris - the title of the new album and photos from the studio!
The recording sessions for the new album of the heavy metal band Exlibris are in progress. The release of "Aftereal", as the album will be called, is planned for late Autumn. The band are currently recording the guitar parts. The drum and, partly, keyboard tracks have already been recorded. The recording sessions should be finished by mid September. The title "Aftereal" reflects the album's atmosphere and lyrics, and there was complete agreement in the band about that choice. The keyboard player Piotr Sikora comments, "Just like it was with 'Humagination', there's a certain leitmotif in the lyrics, which refers to the album's title. They describe realities other than our own - from nightmares, through some kind of fantasy, to the so-called netherworld."
The album is being recorded at ZED studio. The vocal parts will be recorded at HZ Studio, where the previous Exlibris album "Humagination" was recorded. The album's mix and mastering will be handled by Tomek Zalewski. The band's previous album was released last Autumn and it was a big success. It featured melodic heavy metal music on the international level and it was the band's second release.

The band was formed in late 2003 by Daniel Lechmański and Piotr Sikora. Their first studio album "Skyward" from 2006 received quite good reviews. Over the next few years, the bands struggled with line-up changes within the rhythm section, but continued to create music and to play occasional concerts. In the meantime, Daniel Lechmański joined Chain Reaction and recorded three albums with them. Also, Piotr Sikora is a member of Leash Eye since 2009. In January 2012 the band started to record their second album - "Humagination". During the recording time, it turned out that their vocalist Marcin will not be able to complete the recordings. Krzysztof Sokołowski aka Mistress of the Night became their new frontman. As a result, the recordings ended in early 2013. Their next album "Aftereal" is scheduled for release in late Autumn 2014.

So it's been years I've been trying to get the energies in line to do another Ziltoid record, and it's finally happened! Z2 is my new record, and it's a multimedia event that has taken a ton of people a ton of effort to bring to you! It's a double album, (one side DTP, and one side Ziltoid) and the concept expands on Ziltoid the alien, and his sci-fi adventures in a way that kind of throws back to 50's radio plays... but obviously with complicated, heavy music as its soundtrack. It has taken a great deal of energy to put this all together, and the music is just one of the aspects of it. It's a dream come true in a lot of ways, and I'm excited and honoured to be able to finalize the project with a live version of the entire record at the famous Royal Albert Hall in London on April 13th of next year! (!!) Basically what we did with The Retinal Circus a few years back will be taken to the next level with Z2 live.
At the end of this process, we reached for the stars, and hopefully got to the moon, and after this album cycle, I will be taking some time to recharge my batteries and see what the next chapter holds. Magnolia follows the acclaimed 2012 album All The Wars and marks an important turning point for The Pineapple Thief, as it expands its musical horizons beyond the progressive sphere. Recorded at Snap Studios and mixed at Strongroom Studios in London, Magnolia represents the ultimate culmination of Soord's ongoing quest to raise spirits and connect. A devastating yet uplifting collection of 12 beautifully crafted songs, it showcases the band's intuitive chemistry and soulful demeanor, cramming a vast array of emotional shades and inspirational ideas into its 47 mesmerizing minutes. Veering from the strident opening assault of "Simple as That," due to be the first single, through to the cinematic sweep of the closing track "Bond," it marks an important step in the band's story, while skillfully encapsulating everything that has made its musical journey such a relentlessly fascinating one.
"All I ever wanted was to write catchy songs that stay with people," commented Soord, explaining how this record represents an important evolutionary phase for The Pineapple Thief. "The striking thing is that there are no long tunes... all I care about now is writing a good song. I don't think about whether it's rock or progressive or commercial or anything like that. As time went on, I discovered I could say everything I wanted to say within a shorter period of time."
New drummer Dan Osborne, also heavily involved in the production of Magnolia, brought fresh energy and ideas to The Pineapple Thief, strongly contributing to steer the band in a new direction. Completing the line-up are solid bassist Jon Sykes and keyboard maestro Steve Kitch. While string arrangements are courtesy of regular collaborator Andrew Skeet of The Divine Comedy, the stunning final mix was crafted by mix engineer Adam Noble, who has previously worked on albums from the likes of Placebo, Guillemots, Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams and Belgium alt rock band dEUS. Hugh Hopper began his musical career in 1963 as bass guitarist in the Daevid Allen Trio alongside drummer Robert Wyatt. In 1964 Hugh founded The Wilde Flowers with his elder brother, Brian Hopper. Passing through their ranks were fellow Canterbury legends Kevin Ayers, Richard Sinclair, Robert Wyatt, and also Pye Hastings & Richard Coughlin who went on to form Caravan. After dissolving the Wilde Flowers Hugh became the roadie for his friends, The Soft Machine, then a Avant-garden pop group and house band of London's UFO Club, alongside The Pink Floyd.
In 1969 Hugh replaced Soft Machine's original bassist Kevin Ayers, who left following two exhaustive American tours. Hugh's trademark bass sound (often delivered through fuzz boxes) and his compositions raised the music of Soft Machine to heights unmatched by their contemporaries. With the addition of saxophonist Elton Dean the 'classic quartet' developed a massively successful following in England and continental Europe, headlining numerous Festival's and producing the timeless and ground-breaking double album Soft Machine 'Third'.
After leaving the Soft Machine in 1973 Hugh worked with many pillars of the jazz-rock fusion scene such as Gary Boyle's Isotope, Alan Bowen's Gilgamesh, Stomu Yamashita's East Wind and Carla Bley's celebrated big band. He also co-founded quartets with fellow Soft Machine member, saxophonist Elton Dean, namely Soft Head & Soft Heap. In the 1980's, 90's and into the 21st century Hugh composed a wealth of extraordinary music for his own groups and participated in countless improvisational settings and guest appearances.
The music Hugh Hopper is a wonder to behold, a player of high distinction with trademark sound by turns gritty and gorgeous. Gonzomultimedia is honored to present this superb series celebrating the musical legacy of Hugh Hopper, for fans, friends and first time discovers.
Vol. 1 – Memories – Now Available!
This is the first of a ten part series compiled by Michael King. He writes: "My first encounter with the music of Hugh Colin Hopper backdates to the summer of 1976. While visiting a friend I was intentional played a record titled Volume Two from a British rock group about whom I knew little, The Soft Machine. The experience was staggering and prompted a radical reappraisal for the conventions I had been conditioned to accept as 'progressive'. Once smitten I undertook to follow and purchase a spate of seriously inventive record albums that Hugh Hopper released and appeared on, namely; Hoppertunity Box, Rogue Element, Soft Heap, Cruel But Fair and Two Rainbows Daily. Throughout these works I found Hugh's textural bass guitar by turns anchored and animated the music with ample good taste. Here was a rarefied musician who avoided overplaying his instrument in favour of approaches reflecting his personal musical Zen".
Technically, by processing his bass guitar with fuzz box, flanger, wha-wha, octave pedal effects, his use of tapes loops, and later on computer programming, Hugh constructed multilayer soundscapes with great attention to detail. His creative template embraced aesthetics well beyond the orthodox roles assigned to the bass guitar and its practitioner. As example, Hugh cleverly adapted the time altering effects of the repetitive tapes loops he was creating with two tape recorders in the early sixties - to his bass guitar - by playing such repeating patterns in real time. Furthermore, minimalist mutations and modularity often characterize the rhythmic, harmonic, melodic foundations of Hugh's musical compositions (many displaying melody lines of uncommon length). These aspects, alongside a brilliant capacity to freely improvise, (dynamically from a whisper to a roar) distinguish Hugh Hopper as a consummate musician of great standing, one who thrived in myriad musical settings".

Hugh Hopper began his musical career in 1963 as bass guitarist in the Daevid Allen Trio alongside drummer Robert Wyatt. In 1964 Hugh founded The Wilde Flowers with his elder brother, Brian Hopper. Passing through their ranks were fellow Canterbury legends Kevin Ayers, Richard Sinclair, Robert Wyatt, and also Pye Hastings & Richard Coughlin who went on to form Caravan. After dissolving the Wilde Flowers Hugh became the roadie for his friends, The Soft Machine, then a Avant-garden pop group and house band of London's UFO Club, alongside The Pink Floyd.
In 1969 Hugh replaced Soft Machine's original bassist Kevin Ayers, who left following two exhaustive American tours. Hugh's trademark bass sound (often delivered through fuzz boxes) and his compositions raised the music of Soft Machine to heights unmatched by their contemporaries. With the addition of saxophonist Elton Dean the 'classic quartet' developed a massively successful following in England and continental Europe, headlining numerous Festival's and producing the timeless and ground-breaking double album Soft Machine 'Third'.
After leaving the Soft Machine in 1973 Hugh worked with many pillars of the jazz-rock fusion scene such as Gary Boyle's Isotope, Alan Bowen's Gilgamesh, Stomu Yamashita's East Wind and Carla Bley's celebrated big band. He also co-founded quartets with fellow Soft Machine member, saxophonist Elton Dean, namely Soft Head & Soft Heap. In the 1980's, 90's and into the 21st century Hugh composed a wealth of extraordinary music for his own groups and participated in countless improvisational settings and guest appearances.
The music Hugh Hopper is a wonder to behold, a player of high distinction with trademark sound by turns gritty and gorgeous. Gonzomultimedia is honored to present this superb series celebrating the musical legacy of Hugh Hopper, for fans, friends and first time discovers.
Vol. 1 – Memories – Now Available!
This is the first of a ten part series compiled by Michael King. He writes: "My first encounter with the music of Hugh Colin Hopper backdates to the summer of 1976. While visiting a friend I was intentional played a record titled Volume Two from a British rock group about whom I knew little, The Soft Machine. The experience was staggering and prompted a radical reappraisal for the conventions I had been conditioned to accept as 'progressive'. Once smitten I undertook to follow and purchase a spate of seriously inventive record albums that Hugh Hopper released and appeared on, namely; Hoppertunity Box, Rogue Element, Soft Heap, Cruel But Fair and Two Rainbows Daily. Throughout these works I found Hugh's textural bass guitar by turns anchored and animated the music with ample good taste. Here was a rarefied musician who avoided overplaying his instrument in favour of approaches reflecting his personal musical Zen".
Technically, by processing his bass guitar with fuzz box, flanger, wha-wha, octave pedal effects, his use of tapes loops, and later on computer programming, Hugh constructed multilayer soundscapes with great attention to detail. His creative template embraced aesthetics well beyond the orthodox roles assigned to the bass guitar and its practitioner. As example, Hugh cleverly adapted the time altering effects of the repetitive tapes loops he was creating with two tape recorders in the early sixties - to his bass guitar - by playing such repeating patterns in real time. Furthermore, minimalist mutations and modularity often characterize the rhythmic, harmonic, melodic foundations of Hugh's musical compositions (many displaying melody lines of uncommon length). These aspects, alongside a brilliant capacity to freely improvise, (dynamically from a whisper to a roar) distinguish Hugh Hopper as a consummate musician of great standing, one who thrived in myriad musical settings".
This first volume has the strapline "Many Friends" and features a dazzling range of Hopper plus collaborators over a period of some thirty five years.

Short by Amplifier's standards at eleven songs and 45 minutes, the band have focused their dexterities into brief bursts of genre-spinning sound. "Mystoria doesn't aspire to emulate any of its predecessors, " Balamir says, "but I suppose like Echo Street the approach to making it is a lot simpler - it's just about the songs, pure and simple. We'd gone back to just trying to write great songs and melodies, and that's where we've decided to stay."

United Progressive Fraternity sign to InsideOutMusic for debut album; European tour starts September
InsideOutMusic are very pleased to announce the signing of United Progressive Fraternity for the release of their debut album 'Fall In Love With The World' this November. Formed from the ashes of respected Australian progressive rockers Unitopia, the band sees Matt Williams, Dave Hopgood, Tim Irrgang & Mark 'Truey' Trueack joined by Guy Manning (Manning, The The Tangent), Daniel Mash (Maschine, The Tangent), & Marek Arnold. The forthcoming album also features guest appearances from Jon Anderson of Yes, as well as Steve Hackett of Genesis.

'We are absolutely thrilled to be signed to such a prestigious label as InsideOut and look forward to a long & fruitful partnership in the future. We are very proud of what we have achieved with the making of this, the debut album from UPF. Everyone has worked incredibly hard to bring it together, and while the road we travelled to get here was a real challenge, the journey has been worth every step. We have strived to create a richer, bolder, grittier sound trying to evolve a little more, and we truly believe we have succeeded in this. Osada Vida reveal the title and release date of their new album
Osada Vida, one of the most interesting Polish bands on the rock/metal
scene, still work on their fifth studio album. Their material entitled
"The After-Effect" is scheduled for release on November, 3rd.
Their highly acclaimed previous album "Particles" made the band work
even harder on the follow-up material. In the meantime, the band have
undergone a few line-up changes: Bartek Bereska (guitar) was replaced
by Janek Mitoraj and drummer Adam Podzimski - by Marek Romanowski.
Rafał Paluszek, band's keyboardist comments: "Our new album, just like
it was with 'Particles', is not a concept album. We abandoned that as
a creative method. And when we came up with the title 'The
After-Effect', it was partly as a joke. An after-effect is a
consequence, the result of all that's going on in our lives. Every
album sums up a certain episode in your life. It crowns a certain
creative process, which is, after all, brought about by something, and
which is a lasting phenomenon. We experience certain things, every
event has some influence on what we do. Why shouldn't that apply to
the music we create? In a relatively short period of time, 2/5 of
Osada Vida's lineup has changed. Such changes are like a tsunami -
there are losses, but there's also a reason to build something new,
something we wouldn't dare to build back in the untroubled days. We
don't know what effects today's events will have. Looking at it from a
mathematical perspective, there's an infinite number of paths, each
branching out into an infinite number of paths as well, and so on.
That's what 'The Affter-Effect' is."

Riverside. In early July, Osada Vida released their first live DVD
entitled "Where The Devils Live" featuring the recording of their live
appearance at the Wyspianski Theater in Katowice, Poland in Autumn
2011. In 2012 the band debuted in a new improved line-up - they have
added a new vocalist Marek Majewski, previously known from the band
Acute Mind. In Autumn 2013 the band replaced guitarist Bartek Bereska
with young and talented musician – Jan Mitoraj. In Summer 2014 drummer
Adam Podzimski left the band and his place was taken by Marek
Romanowski.
Osada Vida is also recognized worldwide - they played at the famous
US' ROSfest 2011 and at the beginning of October 2012 they were a part
of Israeli ProgStage festival where they performed next to Andromeda,
The Flower Kings or Orphaned Land.

Progressive Rock Band 2KX returns after two-year break with release of Sussuration
The band is fronted by keyboardist and composer Lisa LaRue who is thrilled to announce this unique new release after spending the last two years successfully battling to regain her health. LaRue said, "2KX is excited about being able to make music again, after taking a break due to health reasons. The track has a classic 2KX sound, and goes through four movements, the last illustrating sussuration which is the sound of wind through the trees".
The release involves an unusual feature in that one movement of the song will be available as a special 7", hand-shaped lathe cut record. The record is cut real time on a vintage 1940 record lathe. This movement is the ballad section of the song and the only part with vocals. The CD/EP will contain the full-length version of 'Sussuration" as well as a previously released singles from 2KX: "Lemniscate," a radio edit of "Sussuration," and a bonus of "Song For a Name – 2KX" by Johnny Unicorn It will be available as a CD and an mp3 album in addition to the radio edit "Sussuration" ballad which will be produced in a very limited quantity as the hand-shaped lathe cut 7" record. The CD cover art is by Keith Birdsong, famous for his Star Trek book covers and other outstanding work. Digital downloads will be available September 1, with the CD, special edition record, videos and more available soon after.
2KX members are Lisa LaRue on keyboards, Steve Adams on guitar, Mike Alvarez on cello, John Baker for vocals, Merrill Hale for drums and percussion, and Don Schiff on bass and NS Stick. Baker, previously lead vocalist/guitarist for Mars Hollow as well as playing for Christian Love (The Beach Boys) and The Little Girls, joins as a band member on this release, as lead vocalist. Special guests are Michael Wheeler playing Dilruba and violinist Brenda K of the Panache Orchestra. The album was produced and mixed by LaRue and mastered by multi-Grammy mastering engineer Adam Ayan of Bob Ludwig's Gateway Mastering. Ayan is known for his mastering of bands such as The Rolling Stones, Nine Inch Nails, Rush, Linkin Park and numerous others.
Prior to their two-year break period, 2KX released "Fast and Blue," coproduced by Asia vocalist/bassist John Payne, who also provided vocals for the album along with Michael Sadler of Saga. 2KX was nominated as Best Instrumental Band at the 21st Annual Los Angeles Music Awards. Earlier career highlights for Lisa LaRue include being the first female artist signed to the Sound of America Records (SOAR) Natural Visions sub label, the 2008 Oklahoma Music Awards "Native American Artist of the Year" and a 2008 nominee for the Hollywood Music Awards Instrumental category.

The Leprechaun: folk is not dead!
With origins in punk, the band has stood by its original sound that
blends traditional folk, bluegrass, country and Celtic music
We could say that The Leprechaun is the new incarnation of the punk
rock band with the same name formed in 2009. But no. The new The
Leprechaun is much more.
Reformulated in 2012, from the first line-up remained the musicians
Eric Fontes (bass), Fernando Zornoff (drums) and Rafael Schardosim,
who switched the guitar for banjo! Yup! That's it! They also started
to listen to Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash and radically changed their
sound. Called a girl to sing - Fabiana Santos - included two
guitarists, Bruno Stankevicius and Paulo Sampaio, plus a violinist,
Andrew Nathanael. The result of all this? An acoustic folk with punk
energy like you never heard!
Caught the attention of the public and media since its debut, "The
Years Are Just Packed". How could a group come together into one
package the beauty and subtlety of folk played with the energy and
urgency of punk? Not forgetting the wonderful arrangements full of
references in bluegrass, country and Celtic music.
The band has captivated many fans since then. Inside and outside
Brazil. Their comprehensive sound still allows them to participate in
different festivals. From intimate folk events to big festivals in
celebration of the power of Mjöldir, the hammer of Thor!
"Long Road" is the title of the band's second album. Recently released
by the Brazilian label Hearts Bleed Blue (the same of bands like Blind
Pigs, Bullet Bane, Dance Of Days, Bidê ou Balde and Zumbis do Espaço),
the album brings 12 tracks and was recorded in a farm on the
countryside of Sao Paulo.
Punk or Folk. Country or Celtic. Doesn't matter, actually. The music
itself must be bigger than any label. And The Leprechaun follows this
philosophy without forgetting its roots.
"Our history has developed naturally," says bassist Eric Fontes.
"Today we do not miss the guitars to give more power to the sound, and
the fact that we sound more energetic does not prevent us to create a
quieter sound. I would say that simplicity is the punk feature that
most appears in our sound today, in the way we could rummage a song
with dozens of arrangements of lines, but the perfect music needs to
have a simple and efficient base melody. And there is no better school
to teach you this than punk rock".
