Poor Genetic Material - is about to release a new album. Island Noises is a double concept album (98 min of music) - a creative reimagining of William Shakespeare's The Tempest. The band has spent the last three years composing and recording the music and has put a lot of effort into producing songs that capture the spirit of the play. My father, Martin Griffiths (of Beggars Opera fame), not only created the artwork but also acts as The Tempest's narrator. We have uploaded an entire track, the opener (Roarers), as well as excerpts from some of the other songs (Island Noises Selection) to our myspace site:
