Genesis Project performs The Lamb!

Genesis Project celebrates its 10 years anniversary with a spectacular The Lamb show! Ten years ago we started with a live performance of this wonderful double album. During the following years, we performed Genesis work from the period 1970-1977. Later on, we also added solo work of Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett. After that, it was "just a small step" to the allround progrock tribute show we have performed during the last years as Knight of the Progs.

And so now back to where it all began: a wondeful tribute to The Lamb! Not an exact copy (our Canadian colleagues of The Musical Box rules!), but a high-musical respectful tribute. See the show! We kick off in 2011 with the following shows:

8/1/2011: Boerderij, Zoetermeer
30/1/2011: Spirit of 66, Verviers (B)
25/3/2011: Theater De Gigant, Apeldoorn

The band
Veterans Ebert Zwart (the founder 10 years ago), Sven de Haan and Remco Engels are present of course. As lead singer we proudly present Roland van der Horst, known as the singer/guitarist of the outstanding progrock band Mangrove. And on guitar: none other than Mark Voorbergen, who also played in the first bandmember setting of Genesis Project. We do hope Mark stays in good health, because his predecessors, Fred van Leeuwen and Ron Broekhart, were forced to quit due to health problems. We wish them strength and fast recovery.

The show
Besides the integral performance of The Lamb and some encores from that period, you can also enjoy a wonderful light show and a spectacular multimedia show. We assume most of you know the original Lamb slides. Therefore, Ebert has made a beautiful modern multimedia show, that perfectly matches with the Lamb story, lyrics and music. We are curious to hear your opinion about this new multimedia show!

Besides, did you know:
  • Ebert has now eve n more beautiful Mellotron sounds
  • Sven has polished up his old, faithful Rickenbacker for The Lamb show and will even play some acoustic guitarparts.
  • Mark joined in after ten years, immediately playing Back In New York City without any problems
  • All info about Genesis Project can be found through www.genesisproject.nl
  • The Lamb still is a wonderful album after 35 years
  • We hope seeing you all in 2011 during our shows!

Ebert, Mark, Remco, Roland and Sven.
