HAMSTER THEATRE
Hamster Theatre is an ensemble that plays a fusionof jazz, rock, folk and world music and is influenced by 20th centurymusicians. There is no way to easily put them into a particular category asthey seem to cross borders between these various genres. This group was formedback in 1993 by Dave Wiley and Jon Stubbs formerly of Big Foot Torso (MarkFuller's band). Dave left that band and traveled Europe where he presumably wasinfluenced by music not commonly heard in the USA. The first lineup consisted ofDave on guitar, keyboards and melodeon, Jon on bass, greg LaLiberte onsaxophones and flute, Deborah Perry on keyboards and performing the vocals,Steve Doyle on guitar, and Josh Wright on drums. This lineup did some localgigs and released a low recording-quality cd called Songs From The HamsterTheatre (1995, Prolific Records). Eventually this lineup dissolved. A newrevamped lineup was formed in 1996 by Dave and Jon. In addition to them both itincluded Mark Harris (Thinking plague) on winds and reeds, Mike Johnson(Thinking plague) on guitar, Mike Fitzmaurice on bass and Raoul Rossiter ondrums.

THE RED MASQUE
The Red Masque is an original avant rock band fromthe Philadelphiaarea. Part art, part alchemy, the group's experimental songwriting style isboth angular and eerie, accented by freeform space rock improvisations, intricate acoustics, dark atmospherics and chunky riffs. Unconventional andeccentric in musical form, the sophisticatedly sinister The Red Masque fusestogether such disparate musical references as horror movie soundtracks,rock-in-opposition, progressive rock, experimental, zeuhl, heavy rock, gothic, psychedelia, space rock, and kraut rock.
SYRRAH
Years after Robert the Bruce's nephew'snephew swam to freedom, off the coast of Hi-Brasil(during the "Omission Apperance"). Syrrah began. Based out of Levittown, Pa,their music is an amalgamation of its members wide influences centered on adesire for growth and catharsis. Anything goes in the world of Syrrah, andtheir live show is a testament to that. Those blessed enough to have seen themin venues from Delaware to New York have walked away with a lifeexperience that rivals seeing the Virgin on your breakfast toast.
