Phoenix, Arizona - Phoenix & Dragon, leaders in the Arizona progressive power metal scene, are heading to Ghost Town studios in Jerome, Arizona, to record several new tracks. This is the first time the band has been in the studio with its two new members, guitarist Nikki Rowell and drummer Max Wieden.

According to guitarist and founding member Teddy Arunski, "The new guys have brought new life to the band. Their phenomenal playing has inspired the rest of us and we're all playing better, individually and as a band, than ever before. We want to capture that magic and share it with our fans."

The band says they selected Ghost Town Studios because of the studio's reputation and experience with progressive artists such as Maynard James Keenan, Tony Levin, and Tim Alexander. "We played Rudy Tucich, co-owner of the studio, examples of recordings we really liked," said Jermaine Mars, bassist. "He really understood where we were coming from; we just clicked." Jonathan Gabriel, Jr., keyboards, added, "Plus, Jerome is a cool town with a great vibe and we've got a fantastic following in central Arizona."

The new recordings are expected to be completed in early September.
