The Inner Road are a symphonic instrumental prog rock band
The Inner Road are a symphonic instrumental prog rock band. Formed from UK Prog Rock band Coalition "The Inner Road" are Steve Gresswell and Phil Braithwaite. Steve and Phil started to write a more symphonic style of instrumental prog rock which didn't sit with the Coalition tracks they were writing - and so The Inner Road was born. The Inner Road have already found a worldwide fan-base.
Although the heart of The Inner Road is just Steve and Phil they bring in other professional musicians as and when needed for recording and live work.
Steve Gresswell started playing professionally at the age of 15 in Justin Canns. His other bands were Gyppo, Scorpio, Scorpio II, Guardian Angel, The SG Band and currently Coalition and The Inner Road. Steve also briefly played key-boards for After Dark.
Phil Braithwaite has been hailed by many as 'One of the Best Young Guitarists in the UK'. Phil is an active session musician and has played at some of the biggest and best venues in the UK with many professional bands.

Days Before Tomorrow LIVE in NYC Next Wed. Oct 12
New CD Almost Here: Hear it Live in NYC Next Week!
If you've been following us on Facebook, you know that we've been working on a new CD. It's being mixed at the moment, and should be released early this winter.
Our sound and style has continued to evolve. Keyboardist Damon Fibraio and bassist Paul O'Keeffe weren't in the band when we recorded The Sky Is Falling, but their presence in our live band in 2009 and 2010 really amped up our live shows. Also, drummer Jason Gianni had joined DBT half-way through the writing of The Sky Is Falling, so his influence on our writing wasn't felt to its fullest potential on the first CD. But these guys have had a significant impact on our sound and our new songwriting, really taking DBT music to another level.
Days Before Tomorrow will be debuting music from the new CD live in New York City next week at a special performance. We hope to see some of our tri-state audience at the show!

NEW SINGLE BY GREY LOTUS!
Arisz and Joost Verhagen. In 2010 they released their second, well received
album 'The Art of Listening' which got very positive comments and got them
quite a bigger name in the underground scene. At the moment Grey Lotus
enjoys a quite big fanbase and performs with 6 bandmembers live.
''Lovely Music.'' (Judy Dyble (Ex-Fairport Convention, Solo) on Grey Lotus)
character, (we're interested in how the vocals use "characters" , offering
shifting perspectives, a rare, multi- dimensional quality that is admirable)
some beautiful, ponderous moments that put me in mind of Morte Macarbre's
symphonic holocaust amongst others.''

Metal Mind Productions to release a new album by Leash Eye!
Metal Mind Productions is proud to announce the release of the new album by the Polish band Leash Eye.
Metal/Southern Rock band Leash Eye was founded by three friends, playing for their own enjoyment. As their musical goal, the band decided to follow the same road as the one chosen by Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Kyuss, Tool, Illusion, and Spiritual Beggars. In March 1999, the band recorded 5 songs, which were featured on their promo CD. The change of the lead singer in 2003 triggered also a change of their style - these days Leash Eye stands for melodious hard rock of the 70's, accompanied by heavy, modern sounds and classic vocals. In Autumn 2009, Leash Eye's debut album "V.E.N.I", featuring guest appearance of Riverside's Michał Łapaja on the Hammond organ, sees the light of day. The album met with the acclaim of both the critics and the listeners. The year 2010 is marked by intense work on new songs, which are to be included on the band's new full-length album. Ultimately, 10 out of 13 compositions are chosen and, in the beginning of 2011, the band enter Sound Division Studio in Warsaw to record their 2nd album "V.I.D.I.", with Behemoth's Orion as the producer and Vesania's Heinrich as sound engineer.
And still the best is yet to come. Their second full studio album "V.I.D.I." will be released by Metal Mind Productions on the 16th of November in Europe and 10th of January 2012 in USA (via MVD).

A Journey Down The Well releases a new four song EP
The new compositions contains rich string pieces ("How"), beautiful piano-violin-cello arrangements ("Little"), ambient structures created through delay manipulations ("Can Be") and processed cellos made to sound like a ship's foghorn (end of "The Orchestra").
Taner Torun says "The EP is called How Little Can Be The Orchestra and we have reasons for this. First of all, we recorded it just two people and it explains about minimalist nature of our music. Also, there is still sadness but also a gleam of hope. All four songs are about how little things have importance and make people happy with their existence like birds, kittens, children and toy instruments."
Gonçalo Pereira / Diamond Gloss, How Constellations Shine
"Just a few words about this recording. How Little Can Be The Orchestra is just a wonderful piece of music. Simple pleasures are the best pleasures, and this music is a simple pleasure. It´s hard to write about good music. It´s hard to write about such a good music like this. How beautiful can be a orchestra? So, just put your ears over this four songs and here is your answer. Excellent work, simply made. "
Aviv Cohn / The Widest Smiling Faces
"How Little Can Be The Orchestra, the new EP from A Journey Down the Well combines provocative melodies and textures with a natural and minimal sound palette. The first track, "How" brimming with lovely tones and compelling harmonies, is a particular standout. Later pieces contrast captured field recordings with melodic compositions, a wonderful example being "Little" which begins by relaying sounds of a port or perhaps a commercial dock (or something similar). As the track progresses, string swells create the imagery of deep ocean waves, presenting a fascinating juxtaposition of captured sounds with composed imagery. "How Little Can Be the Orchestra" is full of imaginative little ideas like this, and is a fantastic EP for anyone who enjoys creativity and imagery in their music."
Ludovico Lamarra / En Plein Air
"A Journey Down The Well produce a small and precious EP, abandoning electronic experiments of the first work, with the will to embrace the essence of the music, in four stylish and minimal tracks."
Jun Minowa / Yawning, Gargle
"As if every single note carries a meaning, as if trying to read between the silence, I swim deep in the sea of their music. "How Little Can Be The Orchestra" is a great EP with fantastic composition and emotional sound. Ever since I knew Fluttery Records, I could have found some real music that touch my heart and they are surely one of them. Now it's time for you to discover A Journey Down The Well."
Jan Hammer / Draff Krimmy
"I hear the first sounds of the new A Journey Down The Well. A feeling of joy is flowing through me. That joy carries with it a feeling of sadness, no destructive sorrow but a self-sufficient melancholy. This feeling is good, freedom and fear, pleasure and pain. The music makes me enjoy the moment, authentic and pure. I re-discover the feeling I had when listening to the first A Silver Mt Zion albums. It is only the moment and my experience of it. I am right here now. The orchestra is little, but the mood it leaves behind is enormous. And it grows every time I listen to it."

TesseracT release 'One' Instrumental
Check out a preview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh8pGz9sY8w&feature=youtu.be
Bassist Amos Williams explains:
"TesseracT began as an instrumental project in Acle's filthy cat ridden bedroom, so it has always had quite a strong instrumental focus. That's not to say that we don't enjoy vocals, we love them! But, it is worth noting that with every song we write, we like for it to be able to stand up on its own with or without vocals. We've always had the mind to, about six months after the initial release of 'One', to then release the instrumental version. It's something that the fans have always asked us to do, and we felt now was the correct time to do so."
One instrumental is out now via itunes.
TesseracT set off on the European leg of the Lowering The Tone tour (with Vocals!) on Saturday 15 October with Chimp Spanner, and then head to the US for the Saints and Sinners tour with Between The Buried and Me and Animals As Leaders.

UNEVEN STRUCTURE partner with METAL HAMMER to unleash debut video 'Awaken'
The track comes from the band's forthcoming debut album 'Februus' which will be released on October 31st via Basick Records. The release is a thirteen piece concept spanning across two discs, mixing lush soundscapes with fierce polymetric Metal, think Pink Floyd's creativity meets Meshuggah's brutality with a side serving of Devin Townsend's progressive charm. Two special edition pre-order packages are currently available from Play.com (2 CD and signed poster pack) or from Basick Records store (CD and tee pack).
View the video here: http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/exclusive-uneven-structure-unveil-awesome-new-video
Filmed on location in Switzerland, guitarist Igor Omodei gives us an insight to the imagery behind the video: "The track 'Awaken' takes place at the very beginning of the album, it's the start of a journey. The music video is meant to metaphorically re-transcribe this and to help the viewer get acquainted with the physical representation of the Februus universe, visual codes and characters."
Filmed over two days on location in Switzerland by Patrick Haberli (Proghippie.com) and Christophe Mosconi (Qatlaq), the concept, artwork and post production was completed by guitarist Igor Omodei.
UNEVEN STRUCTURE will appear at Euroblast Festival which takes place on Oct 21/22 in Germany. Debut album 'Februus' is released via Basick Records on October 31st.

Radio Tymes LP and CD
----------------------------------------------------------
A new compilation album is out now, featuring rare radio broadcasts from the late 60s, amongst which is BJH's 1968 BBC session recording of "Night". The compiler has managed to track down off-air recordings of the original programmes, made by enthusiasts with reel-to-reel tape recorders, and has included snippets of comments from contemporary DJs, such as John Peel enthusing about BJH. The LP version of the album marks the debut appearance of "Night" on vinyl, although the recording (minus Peel's comments) did appear on the 2002 remastered CD of the band's debut album.
The album also includes rarities from The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Yardbirds, Deep Purple and more. The LP and CD are available direct from the record label's web site, at http://www.topsoundsrecords.co.uk, or you can order them through online retailers such as Spin CDs or Amazon.com.

OHIOPROG 2012 - OHIO’s PREMIERE PROGRESSIVE ROCK FESTIVAL
Ohio's premiere progressive rock festival, OhioProg, announces its inaugural year. OhioProg is set to take place over three days, September 7, 8 & 9 of 2012 at the Canton Palace Theatre located at 605 Market Avenue North in Downtown Canton, Ohio. This 1509 seat theatre originally opened in 1926 and each seat provides a glorious view of the stage and scenery. An exceptional line-up has been assembled which includes a Friday pre-show, "A Tribute to the Classics," and a Saturday & Sunday full-day main event featuring eleven bands spanning five countries.
Headlining day one of OhioProg 2012 is the return of FM. Cameron Hawkins' Canadian progressive rock act reforms with two brand new members to perform for the first time in nearly six years. 2011 marks the 35th anniversary of the band's inception. Headlining day two, Dan Swanö and brother Dag Swanö return from Sweden to bring their progressive rock act, Nightingale, back to the US for only their second appearance here in the States; the first since 2001. Mick Pointer, Clive Nolan, John Jowitt, John Mitchell and Paul Manzi round out the all-star cast of the veteran UK progressive rock band Arena. Jowitt returns to Arena on bass and the band will have a new album under their belt before the festival. RC2 from Barcelona will be making their first US appearance at OhioProg 2012. After nearly 20 years together, Persephone's Dream comes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and despite living minutes away from the Ohio border they have not once performed in Ohio. Orphan Project is from Maryland. Connecticut based band, After the Fall, have regrouped for an OhioProg 2012 appearance. After the Fall's last release, "kNOwleDGE," came out in 2005. Additionally, hailing from Florida, progressive rock festival veterans, Cryptic Vision, return to the festival circuit with a new album forthcoming, the third album in a trilogy started in 2003 with "Moments of Clarity".
Headlining the "A Tribute to the Classics" pre-show is Script for a Jester's Tour, a Marillion tribute act featuring original Marillion drummer Mick Pointer and Nick Barrett of Pendragon. They will perform alongside Going for the One, a Yes tribute group based here in the US. Gende's Giant round out the pre-show line-up. The Illinois group, led by Mike Gende, come together to perform the complex, intricate and classic music of Gentle Giant.
OhioProg 2012 has turned to crowdfunding platform Kickstarter to help ensure its success by rolling out a "Pledge Your Ticket" program. By pledging at various tiers you can secure a ticket of your choice to either the Pre-Show or Main Event, or both. A number of rewards will be given for specialized pledges, and patron tickets are available for those who wish to have first choice of seats. Pledging begins November 4, 2011 and is a great way to show your support to the progressive rock festival community even if you are unable to attend the festival. Pledges start as low as $1, and even non-attendees can walk away with an OhioProg 2012 program, poster, t-shirt or limited edition compilation by pledging at the appropriate tier. Pledges will fund all aspects of the festival including all operational, marketing, and transportation costs. "Pledge Your Ticket" funding goals must be reached by the end of the day on January 2, 2012. Pledges will only be processed on January 3, 2012 if the festival reaches its funding goals. The festival has adopted Kickstarter's project criteria so that if funding goals are not met, the festival will be cancelled and pledge funds will not be processed. This is a great opportunity to help put together a festival for the fans, funded by the fans, and enjoyed by the fans of progressive rock.
OhioProg is proud to begin its history in Canton, and feels it will be right at home in the heart of the Downtown Canton Arts District. There are many great amenities in the area for visitors. Over 30 restaurants, bars and coffee shops within walking distance of the venue. Attendees will find 100 shopping destinations including the Westfield Belden-Village Shopping Mall and many one-of-a-kind shops unique to Canton. There are plenty of attractions, parks and recreational choices, including the McKinley National Monument and The Pro Football Hall of Fame. Dedicated sections can be found on the OhioProg website highlighting each of these amenities Canton is also conveniently located within an hour of the major cities of Cleveland, Akron and Columbus, Ohio.
Fans traveling from abroad will be happy to see several host hotels to choose from, including the McKinley Grand Hotel, OhioProg 2012's main host hotel. The hotel is located just 4 blocks from the venue and is within walking distance to the OhioProg festivities. A generous group rate is being offered by the McKinley Grand Hotel, including garage parking and free shuttle service from the Akron-Canton airport. Thorpe's Market Avenue Grill and Thorpe's Pub are among the 30 dining options downtown and both are located inside the hotel for guests' convenience. Rooms are expected to fill up fast, and guest are encouraged to make reservations early by calling and asking for the OhioProg 2012 group rate, or by booking online using the group reservation code: PROG. 10 years of Mangrove progressive rock - band releases DVD of unique acoustic show
Progressive rockband Mangrove celebrates its first decade on 11th of November 2011. The presentation of the second DVD that the band releases on their own record label 'Mangrovian Music' coincides with this 10th anniversary.
The DVD contains the recordings of the unique acoustic show that took place in a sold out theatre of venue 'Gigant' in Apeldoorn (NL) in 2010. The DVD will be entitled – like the show – "More or Less…". It is the second DVD in a series of three that is released in succession. Recently Mangrove already presented their first live DVD "Live Beyond Reality". Beside this the DVD recording show that was performed at 'De Boerderij', Zoetermeer (NL) will become the last part of the DVD trilogy.
"We have challenged ourselves to experiment with our symphonic compositions and to try recreating the essence of them in the intimate atmosphere of a theatre.",
says keyboard player Chris Jonker. Guitarist/singer Roland van der Horst adds: "In this unique show Mangrove shines a new light on the many songs we've written in the last years. To play with some exciting new ‐ but yet well‐known ‐ melodies and sounds is just wonderful. Seeing this DVD causes the same excitement to us that we had during the show." The DVD will also contain a beautiful performance of Peter Gabriel's "Here comes the flood".During the last decade Mangrove has built a solid live reputation. A very special '10th anniversary show' will be held on 11th of November in Gigant Apeldoorn. This is a unique chance to see Mangrove performing live in all its glory. The show promises to become a spectacular one also regarding the visual aspect: the band is planning to use among others a 'Laser Harp'.

At approxiamately one hour and ten mintues into the show, Horne asks Palmer, "Is ELP dead?"
Palmer replies, "From my point of view I thought that this particular show was a great way to end a great career. I thought that the 40th anniversary was really the right way for us to leave."
If what he said holds true then the Emerson Lake & Palmer "40th Anniversary Reunion Concert" on DVD and Blu-ray, which is currently available, will be footage of ELP's last concert ever.
