French Progressive metallers UNEVEN STRUCTURE have partnered with Metal Hammer magazine to exclusively debut their new video for 'Awaken'.
The track comes from the band's forthcoming debut album 'Februus' which will be released on October 31st via Basick Records. The release is a thirteen piece concept spanning across two discs, mixing lush soundscapes with fierce polymetric Metal, think Pink Floyd's creativity meets Meshuggah's brutality with a side serving of Devin Townsend's progressive charm. Two special edition pre-order packages are currently available from Play.com (2 CD and signed poster pack) or from Basick Records store (CD and tee pack).

Filmed on location in Switzerland, guitarist Igor Omodei gives us an insight to the imagery behind the video: "The track 'Awaken' takes place at the very beginning of the album, it's the start of a journey. The music video is meant to metaphorically re-transcribe this and to help the viewer get acquainted with the physical representation of the Februus universe, visual codes and characters."
Filmed over two days on location in Switzerland by Patrick Haberli (Proghippie.com) and Christophe Mosconi (Qatlaq), the concept, artwork and post production was completed by guitarist Igor Omodei.
Since forming in 2008 UNEVEN STRUCTURE have become a truly exciting prospect for the future of heavy music by disassembling and reconstructing the Metal genre in their vision, creating contemporary atmospheric movements that are all at once dripping with seductive cinematic ambiance and groove-laden riffs.
UNEVEN STRUCTURE will appear at Euroblast Festival which takes place on Oct 21/22 in Germany. Debut album 'Februus' is released via Basick Records on October 31st.
