The multi-instrumentalist/prog rocker Robbie Gennet is gearing up to release his 7-song album, Gleams, on May 25. The album was co-produced by Fernando Perdomo, and also has musical contributions from Ryan Brown (Zappa Plays Zappa) and Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd).
Robbie's music is perhaps best described as "multi-dimensional, progressive, piano-driven pop/rock." Or, to compare his sound to well-known artists, think Father John Misty, Arcade Fire, Rush and The Killers, with Elton John-esque piano and even a string section throughout.
The first video from Gleams, "The Camera's On," debuted exclusively via Facebook on April 27, and now has over 100k FB views. Famed artist Paul Whitehead (Genesis) painted the Gleams album cover.
