THERE’S LIFE IN THE OLD PROG YET!

Reading musician Steve Gresswell is back at the top of his game, and achieving worldwide recognition with his band THE INNER ROAD at the tender age of 57!

The Inner Road are Steve Gresswell and local guitarist Phil Braithwaite.  Steve was persuaded by his wife Jacqui and their son Chris to go back into the studio and write a new album and Visions was the result.  After some searching Steve found the ideal guitarist for that project, Phil Braithwaite.  The album was recorded at Orbital Productions by Steve and Chris Gresswell (Steve's son). Chris Gresswell is the Executive Producer of the album.  Chris has been dubbed "Magic Ears" by musicians he has worked with due to his amazing sound production abilities.  Obviously, Chris has been around recording studios all his life but more importantly he has a natural born ability.

The Inner Road released their album Visions in October 2011 on the Orbital Productions label. The album is distributed by Super D Distribution/CD Baby and is available on iTunes, Amazon and all the usual online retailers.  The album is distributed in America by Laser's Edge and in the Netherlands by Beyond Rock.  The album is sold in shops  around the world.

The music is Instrumental Prog Rock and has had excellent reviews from prog rock fans, magazines and reviewers.  Visions has had extensive airplay on FM and online radio stations around the world.

·         Brian Dade from AiiRadio said "Reading, UK band The Inner Road... tracks from their excellent album 'Visions'... instrumental prog at its finest".

·         Ken Golden from Laser's Edge in America said "The Inner Road is a new instrumental symphonic rock band from the UK. They go for a classic old school prog sound and pull it off rather well thank you. Visions evokes memories of Knight Area, Genesis, Rick Wakeman, Steve Hackett, and Gordon Giltrap. Lush orchestral sounds are pierced with fluid guitar leads and laser-like synth runs. Yes this is the good stuff. Highly recommended"

·         Gert Hulshof from magazine Sea of Tranquillity said "Visions is 12 tracks of highly entertaining and relaxing Symphonic prog. All songs on the album are instrumental of nature though the occasional spoken words can be heard. All instruments are played by both members. From the first track "The Hidden Sea" to the last "Beyond The Horizon" , the joy that these two musicians put into this recording just drips from your speakers when you listen to this album. In short I believe this to be an excellent debut album by two very talented musicians. 12 beautifully created songs".
