Now we will spend a couple of weeks refining the tone and arrangements, then the entire summer in the studio. 'Alchemy' by Clive Nolan - listen to the studio album at Progstreaming! // Interview offer!

"Alchemy", the rock musical by Clive Nolan was released on March, 4th in Europe and April, 9th in USA. This double release was preceded by the world premiere of "Alchemy" show at the famous Wyspianski Theatre in Katowice, Poland on February 22. The show was recorded for the purposes of a DVD which will be released by Metal Mind Productions in September.

Alchemy' is a Victorian adventure set in 1842, with a sense of the dark and mysterious. The libretto and the original story are both by Clive Nolan, a British musician, composer and producer who has played a prominent role in the recent development of progressive and symphonic rock. Next to Clive Nolan himself, both the CD album as well as the DVD concert version of the musical feature the artists well known in the world of progressive rock including Tracy Hitchings (Landmarq, Strangers on a Train), Andy Sears (Twelfth Night), Paul Manzi (Arena), Damian Wilson (Threshold), David Clifford (Red Jasper) as well as the leading lady of Nolan's previous musical 'SHE', Agnieszka Świta. The main cast was expanded by the stars of the 2011 'She - the Musical' Cheltenham theatre production, Victoria Bolley, Chris Lewis and Soheila Clifford. Additionally, on 'Alchemy' album the role of Jessamine was sung by Noel Calcaterra - a Uruguayan singer/actress and the voice of Clive Nolan South American 'Otra Vida' project from 2010. The Caamora Company musicians - Clive Nolan (keyboards), Mark Westwood (guitars), Scott Higham (drums), Claudio Momberg (keyboards) and Kylan Amos (bass) were responsible for the instrumental part of the project both on a CD and DVD.

Clive Nolan comments: "For me, the creation of 'Alchemy' has been a three year journey so far. I have lived with the growing story and the developing music almost on a daily basis. It has become an integral part of my life. Recording the CD, in many ways, helps to provide an official stamp on the project! (…'Alchemy' is for me the biggest musical and artistic challenge I have ever attempted. I really didn't expect a bigger 'mountain' to climb than the 'She' project, but I was wrong. This show is simply larger in structure and depth. By the time we do the Cheltenham shows, it will have been four years of my life!"

ELORA - "Crash"

Elora was born in 2004. She is the daughter of Jean-Vincent Fillipini. Another Elora was born in the same year: The band! Consisting of Jean-Vincent (bass), Lionel Giacobbé (guitar) and Damian Dahan (voice). Actually Patrice Cannone (keyboards), Julien Beaumont (drums) and Anastasia Moussali (voice) complete the outfit from Marseille, France. Little Elora inspired the creation and the imagination of the band. A progressive rock band with several influences, ranging from the 70's like Genesis, Pink Floyd and Magma, to modern acts like Porcupine Tree, Lazuli or Riverside. They are modeling influences like parents do with their child. Their rock is strong and melodic, deep and melancholic. In the beginning Elora did many local shows around Marseille to earn money for an album release. The result was a 4 track self released EP in 2010 and an invitation to the Prog Sud festival. 2013 is the year to become more public. With the debut under their belt, invitations to four renowned european Prog festivals are confirmed. Prog Sud and Crescendo in France; Veruno Prog in Italy and the Progressive Promotion Festival in Germany, the home of their record label. The band are French and sing in French. Something new to PPR, but very exciting and probably not the last of that kind.

The Red Masque's New Album Mythalogue Is In the States!

The Red Masque's new cd, Mythalogue, has just arrived in Seattle's port and is currently being unloaded and going into customs before shipping to the Beta-lactam Ring Records HQ in Portland. With the first studio outing in five years from Philly's native avant prog wunderkind, The Red Masque let loose a clarion call of avant prog gravitas to all comers here. Scions to a subterranean continuum of stormy entanglements, the tendrils that entwine on these tenebrous tunes snake out from some very auspicious pods. On Mythalogue, they take a page from Red-era King Crimson and another from those that rode the more riff-centric faultlines of the 90's avant prog revival (Present, Happy Family, Thinking Plague, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum) and fire the shredded results out of confetti cannons. Riffs crunch out fevered labyrinths, time signatures create airborne origami and vocalist Lynnette Shelley's supple, full-throated attack seals it with a kiss. This crew have been hoisted on the shoulders of some of Rock In Oppostion's most formidable figures, from their previous studio affair gaining release on Chris Cutler's ReR USA imprint to Mythalogue being mixed by 5uu's/Science Group member and avant prog magi Bob Drake. Little wonder, as the interzone of turbulent energies and high wire conniptions on hand here make plain The Red Masque's heir apparent status to this trajectory.

The ADD are an alternative rock/stoner band from Italy, formed in year 2007. Influences of the band are Q.O.T.S.A., Foo Fighters, Kyuss, Black Sabbath, Karma To Burn, Metallica, Muse and Lamb Of God. The heavy riffing sound gets supported by great, exhilarating and groovy rhythms and intense and catchy harmonies, such an efficient alchemy of rock, metal and stoner sounds.

After they self-produced their first work "Neo Evo" in year 2009, the ADD (acronym of Avvocati Del Diavolo that means "Lawyers of the Devil") are back in the scene with their new full lenght titled "A Dear Diary", recorded at the West Link Studio with the support of Alessandro Paolucci (artistic producer of bands such as Vanilla Sky, Prozac+, Baustelle) and mixed and mastered at the Damage Inc. Studioby Dario Mollo, guitarrist and producer for international projects as Crossbones, Voodo Hill (with Glenn Hughes), The Cage (with Tony Martin) and Noize Machine.

"A Dear Diary" is a concept album, created graphically as a real personal diary containing notes and life experiences of a hypothetical owner coming from the past.

In every track imaginary memories pass by with evocative sounds that remind a rarefied world, because the "Dear Diary" gets found in an apocalyptic future where the earth is populated by human survivors and zombies. It is a real archeological relic exhumed from a far away and disappeared past. It conserves its tracks and a big meanings vision.

Music collectors across the planet are clamoring about the release of the rare out-of-print psychedelic debut album by avant-garde music artist ANT-BEE titled 'Pure Electric Honey' on CD for the first time by Gonzo MultiMedia UK! Possibly one of the most unusual acts to emerge from the US in the early 1990's, ANT-BEE's music defies categorization, yet acts like Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd, Smile-era Beach Boys, The Mothers and Sgt. Pepper era Beatles immediately spring to mind upon listening. At the time of release many thought the album was an unearthed lost gem from the 1960s, while others didn't know what to think....

Through a series of musical experiments in the recording studio back in 1987 in Los Angeles, ANT-BEE was born! In 1988, ANT-BEE was signed to Los Angeles record company Voxx/Bomp Records. The first Ant-Bee album 'Pure Electric Honey' garnered rave reviews worldwide, propelling ANT-BEE to overnight legend status in the European underground. The album also featured guest performances by Bob Harris (Frank Zappa) and Rick Snyder ( Captain Beefheart ). In support of 'Pure Electric Honey', ANT-BEE filmed a series of videos ("Here We Go Round The Lemon Tree" and "The Girl With The Stars In Her Hair") which were viewed in Los Angeles, Japan and Canada. Also during this period ANT-BEE recorded a cover version of the Beach Boy's "Do You Like Worms?" from the legendary aborted 'Smile' sessions. Oddly through a bizarre turn of events the ANT-BEE cover version of the song was mistakenly played on a Beach Boys radio show as a rare Beach Boys demo. In turn the track was released on several elaborate European Beach Boys bootlegs as an unreleased outtake from 1966!

ANT-BEE would go on to release several more critically acclaimed albums in the '90s and 2000's that would feature guest appearances by original members of the Mothers of Invention, ex-Capt. Beefheart's Magic Band members, original members of the Alice Cooper group, Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth of GONG, Peter Banks, Jan Akkerman and many other notable music artists. GONZO MultiMedia will be re-releasing ANT-BEE's back catalog, as well as the unreleased 'Child Of The Moon' EP, featuring Michael Bruce of the Alice Cooper group and artwork by Daevid Allen.

New album From Ryan Michalski titled I'm starting over Out July 16 2013

Ryan Michalski is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who comes from a
small town in New Jersey called Ringwood where he lived for 25 years.
He started playing guitar at the

age of 14. Ryan always worked on his playing technique and writing
skills. He grew up in the 80's hair-metal generation developing a
taste for indie-pop and alternative music. He moved to Tampa, Florida
in 1996 and went to art school. He also dabbled in public access
television and other projects. For the last 20 years he's been
writing, recording and releasing CD's under alias' such as Ryan
Cosmonaught, Dead Dark Slide and Space King.

His music is a fusion of pop, rock, metal, gothic rock and everything
else in between. However, the style of music is all his own, creating
an authentic, delightful out-of-the-box sound I haven't heard in
years.

Ryan Michalski released his newest single "Ninth Moon", which is an
upbeat indie-rock alternative song. The song is about daydreaming, but
instead of being on 'cloud 9'

you are really in your own world. The storyline is easy on this one;
it's about daydreaming being a happy place. It has a great pop rock
80's rhythm with plenty of nostalgic appeal to it. It brings you back
to those glory days. It just makes you smile from one ear to the
other. This single is a fine representation as to the talents of Ryan
Michalski.

Ryan has collaborated with many musicians from all genres and with
vast musical backgrounds. Working with talent like that allows Ryan to
hone in on a unique sound that
is instantly identifiable by audiences worldwide. It has also created
a well rounded and versed musician.

Under the alias Ryan Cosmonaught project "The Ryan Cosmonaught
Project" was nominated for a German Grammy (the song was titled "Rock
Star") in 2005. He has also been signed to This is one artist that

GERMÁN PASCUALis a man with a very special voice, he's achieved
notoriety around the world, lauded greatly and likened with the
greatest melodic metal voices of our day. GERMÁN was the last voice
of NARNIA, a well known Swedish melodic heavy metal band, similar to
Stryper and Rob Rock. The new music is hard heavy and melodic power
metal without compromise.

In 2009 the NARNIA album, "Course of a Generation" was launched. It
was the 7th and final album from NARNIA since their beginning at 1996.
Germán also sings with DIVINEFIRE, where he shares the lead vocal with
Christian Liljegren (ex-Narnia). They launched the album, "Eye of the
storm" in April 2011.

In January 2011 Germán went on his first solo tour in Brazil,
performing a few of the greatest hits of Narnia and also presenting
some songs from his upcoming solo album. Now with A New Beginning
Germán is drawing plans to tour the world in support of his latest
Metal opus.

North Atlantic Oscillation New EP, UK tours and 2CD edition of Fog Electric

North Atlantic Oscillation return in May with the Chirality EP and a series of UK live dates.

The EP will be released on May 13th and will feature remixes by the Mercury nominated act The Invisible and respected newcomers Nedryalongside the title track and an alternate mix of previous single 'Savage With Barometer'. In addition, the EP also features the band's cover of 'One Good Reason' by Bob Mould. Upon hearing the NAO version of the track, Mould was so impressed that he invited the band to support him on his upcoming May UK tour (dates listed below).

WISDOM OF CROWDS - Bruce Soord with Jonas Renkse

Wisdom of Crowds is the new album from an exciting new project featuring Bruce Soord from THE PINEAPPLE THIEF with Jonas Renkse from KATATONIA.

The Pineapple Thief frontman, Bruce Soord, and Jonas Renkse, lead vocalist from Katatonia have announced a June 3rd, 2013 release date forWisdom of Crowds, their new project for Kscope.

Originally written with Renkse's voice in mind, Soord sought out the acclaimed Katatonia vocalist to complete the compositions and release the music to the masses. Despite the rigorous schedules of The Pineapple Thief and Katatonia, the two musicians were eventually able to connect.

Both artists are currently enjoying unparalleled success with their main bands.

The Pineapple Thief have just completed a successful European tour following the release of their latest album, All The Wars in September. Rocksound described All The Wars as "an album of Muse-like, slow burning guitar anthems", while Classic Rock stated it was "the sound of a band reaching the height of their powers" and Prog argued it was an "elegant, sophisticated work... moody and meaningful, introspective and universal."

Katatonia also released a new album last year. Dead End Kings was released on the Peaceville label in August and reinforced their position as "one of the most consistently fascinating bands in modern heavy music." (Metal Hammer, 9/10). The album featured heavily in the album of the year polls of magazines around the world and was also nominated for a Grammy in the band's homeland of Sweden.

NYC-based guitarist, composer and technologist Pontus Gunve's music embraces the theory that music is a multi-dimensional experience and an adventure in wordless storytelling that fully absorbs the audience's mind, body and spirit. Flowing through time and space, the lush sonic textures he creates evoke the ethereal landscapes of other-worldly multi-media artists such as Jean Michel Jarre and Boards of Canada while still clearly inspired by the thick, dark compositional textures of legendary heavy metal bands like Megadeth. And his energy as a guitarist celebrates numerous influences, from the technical proficiency of Steve Vai and the raw, exotic approach of Marty Friedman, to the minimalistic moments created by legendary blues performers.

MAVARA - "Season of Salvation"

Mavara Band, at first was formed by Farhood Ghadiri,the composer and keyboard player,in fall of 2001 in Karaj.Mavara means beyond of everything you think. Mavara style is a kind of progressive and Neo-progressive rock actually Mavara is the first Iranian band in this music genre. They have had a lot of performance in Tehran and Karaj and so many people have performed in this band, during this time. Mavara Band, had taken part in a music festival, located at Tehran Industry And Science University, and was announced as the best Band of Rock music in this festival. It's musics were broadcasting at the same time from local radio. Mavara Band, was taken part in internet music festival, Tehran Avenue, two times, first in 2003 and then in 2005. Mavara Band first album, called Ultimate Sound, was recorded in 2003 and was distributed in 2005. At the same year, they have done an interview about this Album with www.zirzamin.se site and in 2005, they have performed a joint concert with Aavaar Band on the benefit of Rock music in Iran. All the songs of this Album were Persian. The second Album, called Forgotten Inside, is in English which it's record was started from 2008 and finished in 2009. Mavara Band has done a private concert for introducing this Album in 2009. In summer of 2010 Mavara had a Mini tour in France and took apart in Crescendo music festival. In summer of 2011 Mavara Finished their third album, called Season of Salvation. For continue of activity Mavara made a decision to leave Iran and come to USA. Now Mavara release Season of Salvation in spring of 2013 through the world and Mavara wants to get lot's of gig and concert in USA.
