Keyboard Legend Extraordinaire Patrick Moraz, Former Member of YES and the Moody Blues, To Release New Album “MAP” (Moraz Alban Project) With Outstanding Drummer Greg Alban!

Los Angeles CA- Patrick Moraz and Greg Alban proudly announce the release of their new CD "MAP".

Says Patrick, "The concept and the meaning of "MAP" is first and foremost the 'MORAZ ALBAN PROJECT'! Some time ago, Greg Alban, a very good friend of mine and a great drummer whom I have known now for more than 30 years asked me if I would like to start composing and arranging some music that he could play the drums on, with me. He wanted to record a whole album together and eventually of course, release it."

So Moraz began composing and arranging the music for "MAP" in his studio in Florida, the project then moved to California, where it was further developed and recorded. This new music is a collection of instrumental pieces that range in style and spirit of World-Fusion, Rock and Jazz.

Greg Alban, originally from Columbus, Ohio, attended Ohio University and moved to Los Angeles in 1974 to pursue a career in music. Greg has studied with some of the great drummers and teachers such as Richard Wilson, Joe Morello and Joe Porcaro. Patrick Moraz first heard Greg Alban play drums when he was head of his own band ICE. They were performing at the famous and since shuttered Red Onion in Marina Del Rey, CA. Impressed with the playing skills of Alban and fellow band member John Avila, Moraz asked them to perform on his album, "Timecode". Greg Alban who has worked with such artists such as "The Miracles", Denny Laine (Wings) and Mike Pinera (Blues Image and Iron Butterfly) explains: "Patrick and I have been very good friends for a long time and I'm still always being surprised by the depth of his knowledge, not just about music but everything! He's a creative genius and I'm honored to be working with him."

Swiss born Patrick Moraz, is best known as an official member and keyboardist for the progressive rock bands "Yes" from 1974 to the end of 1976 and "The Moody Blues" from 1978 to 1991. He was classically trained at the Conservatory of Lausanne, but having a keen interest in jazz and world rhythms he decided early on to pursue composing and playing in these genres of music as well. This led to Patrick and his own trio and quartet, opening for major jazz artists and famous rock bands throughout Europe in the mid-sixties. He then formed the group "Mainhorse" with Jean Ristori in 1968 and released a self-titled album on Polydor. Then, after a long tour of Japan and the Far-East as musical director of a Brazilian Ballet Company, he came back and moved to England in the early Seventies to form "Refugee" with Lee Jackson and Brian Davison, both previously of  "The Nice". They produced one album titled "Refugee" which to date is still revered as one of Prog-Rock's monumental works known for Moraz's highly inspired compositions and keyboard virtuosity.

Moraz rose to prominence in 1974 as a new member and keyboardist of "Yes". He co-composed along with Yes's" band members and played on the album "Relayer", which led to what was to be "Yes's" most successful ever world tour, playing to crowds which numbered from 25,000 to 120,00 at JFK stadium during the bi-centennial year of 1976.  In 1975-1976 all the then- members of "Yes" released solo albums. In the interim Moraz had moved to Brazil and composed the music for the "I" aka "The Story of I" which incorporated 16 Brazilian percussionists, making it an important staple of "world music". "I" was Moraz's first solo album and in 1976 it was voted the #1 Album of the Year by "Keyboard Magazine". After his departure from "Yes" Patrick recorded his second album "Out In The Sun" on the "famous" Charisma Record Label, and moved officially to Brazil.

In the last part of 1977 and the first part of 1978, time was devoted exclusively for composing and recording for the production of his 3rd solo Album, simply titled "Patrick Moraz", in the company of the percussionists of Rio-de-Janeiro and Djalma Correa, who, several years later, was referred by Patrick to Peter Gabriel for his Album "SO".

Moving back to Europe via an appearance at the famous "Montreux Jazz Festival" in Switzerland, and upon their request, Patrick began touring with "The Moody Blues" on their "Octave" tour in 1978, replacing their former keyboardist Mike Pinder. The two world Tours, ending in 1979 proved extremely successful!

In 1980, having played and recorded on the new album "Long Distance Voyager" he was asked to become a member of the band. Subsequently, in 1981, "Long Distance Voyager" reached #1 on the US charts and proved to be one of their highest grossing albums to date. He continued touring and recording with "The Moody Blues" until 1991 and played on the four subsequent albums : "The Present", "The Other Side of Life", "Sur la Mer" and partially on "Keys of the Kingdom". Moraz is also credited as composer and co-writer of the song "The Spirit", which appeared on the 1986 album "The Other Side of Life".

During recording and touring breaks with the "Moodies", Patrick had continued to compose, play and record his solo albums "Future Memories 1" "Future Memories II", (both "Live on TV"),  "Human Interface", and "Timecode". He also collaborated, (in 1979), with the renowned Romanian panpipe flutist, Simeon Stanciu, (a.k.a. Syrinx), for their album "Coexistence".  From 1983 to 1985, Patrick Moraz and Bill Bruford, former member and drummer for Yes, decide to form a duet and tour under the name "Moraz-Bruford". They recorded two albums, "Music For Piano and Drums" and "Flags" and managed to do three very successful worldwide Tours.

In 1991 having been with "The Moody Blues" for thirteen years, Moraz embarked on a solo career. To date he has composed and played acoustic piano on three solo CD's, "Windows of Time", "Resonance" and "ESP" all of which have been critically acclaimed and extremely well received.

In 1995, exactly 20 years ago, Patrick Moraz performed throughout the USA on his C.H.A.T. tour (Coming Home America Tour). The tour was unique in that it was one of the first, if not the very first to be booked entirely over the Internet. Moraz played solo on acoustic Grand Pianos to audiences that numbered as small as two people to hundreds of people, taking place in eclectic venues which ranged from single homes, to large estates, corporate headquarters, churches, theaters, concert halls and museums. One of the concerts was filmed and recorded for a DVD and CD in Princeton N.J. and is titled "P.M. in Princeton". The C.H.A.T. tour proved to be a huge success and an experience that Moraz says, "He will always hold very dear to his heart".

In 2009 he released "Change of Space", and in 2011 Moraz released the electronic keyboard CD "Moraz Live/Abbey Road"  which features Patrick playing live electronic keyboards as well as a live acoustic piano improvisation. There  was also a piano-compilation CD titled "Pianissimoraz", featuring a new and unreleased piece : The "one-&-only take" of the instant composition "Pure Love".

And now much to the excitement of music fans worldwide, Patrick Moraz and Greg Alban are releasing their first album "MAP" in June 2015!

The album features amazing bass player John Avila, former member of "Oingo Bongo", who also plays bass on "MAP". The other great players featured on "MAP" are Lenny Castro on percussion, who has worked with such artists as "The Rolling Stones", "Elton John", "Eric Clapton" and many others. Renown and awesome bass player, Matt Malley, founder and former member of  "The Counting Crows", expertly plays Indian Slide Guitar on "MAP'. Swiss virtuoso bass player Patrick Perrier and heavyweight multi-instrumentalist on tenor saxophone Dave VanSuch, both perform on "MAP" as well.

Spock's Beard reveal release date and album art for 'The Oblivion Particle'

InsideOut Music Header

Legendary progressive-rockers Spock's Beard are pleased to announce that their brand new 12th studio album 'The Oblivion Particle' is set for release on the August 21st, 2015, and you can view the artwork for it above.

According to bassist Dave Meros, it's not a matter of how much the new album recalls past Spock's material, but how much it differs. "I think the opening track 'Tides of Time' is classic Spock's in terms of arrangement and style, but everything else is fairly different. That said, the whole album is still within the parameters of what people expect to hear from us."

The band also recently announced European tour dates in support of the album. The band will be joined by young UK act Synaesthesia and Hungarian band Special Providence.

The full list of dates are as follows:

16.09 - Spirit of 66, Verviers, Belgium
17.09 - De Boerderij, Zoetermeer, Netherlands
18.09 - Framus & Warwick Music Hall, Markneukirchen, Germany
19.09 - Progresja, Warschau, Poland
20.09 - Metro Club, Brno, Czech Republic
21.09 - Ship A38, Budapest, Hungary

25.09 - Sudhaus, Tübingen, Germany
26.09 - Alte Seilerei, Mannheim, Germany
27.09 - Essigfabrik, Köln, Germany
29.09 - Rescue Rooms, Nottingham, UK
30.09 - Assembly, Leamington Spa, UK
1.10 - The Classic Grand, Glasgow, UK
2.10 - O2 Academy Islington, London, UK
3.10 - Club Academy, Manchester, UK

Spock's Beard's forthcoming new studio album The Oblivion Particle is the follow-up to 2013's Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep. The album finds the band answering the needs of their creations by utilizing the considerable versatility of each member. In addition to Ted Leonard's soaring vocals and Dave Meros' distinctive bass, Alan Morse adds autoharp, banjolele, electric sitar and mandolin to his array of instruments, drummer Jimmy Keegan takes over lead vocals on "Bennett Built a Time Machine" and Ryo expands his arsenal of keyboard sounds throughout the album. In addition, virtuoso Kansas violinist David Ragsdale lends his touch to the album's majestic closer, "Disappear."

As with the previous album Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep, The Oblivion Particle was recorded at The Mouse House and produced by Rich Mouser, Alan Morse and John Boegehold, a band collaborator of many years.

3RDegree Release “ONES & ZEROS: Vol. 1” plus FREE Download, European Tour

Atlanta, GA – July 7, 2015  (10T Records) – 10T Records is thrilled to announce the release of the brand new CD from 3RDEGREE, entitled "ONES & ZEROS: Vol. 1." It is available immediately through 10T Records' online store in multiple formats, both physical and digital.  It will be available through all major mainstream online and retail outlets (iTunes, Amazon, etc.) on its official street date of August 18, 2015.

"ONES & ZEROS: Vol. 1" is the band's third studio album since coming to the consciousness of the worldwide prog rock press in 2008 with "NARROW-CASTER" and their fifth overall. While the band's follow-up release, 2012's "THE LONG DIVISION," had some over-arching political themes, "ONES & ZEROS: Vol. 1" is 3RDegree's first full-fledged concept album.

"This new album contains a tight structure with sound effects, voice actors, guest vocalists, recurring musical and lyrical themes, and other elements," says founding member Robert Pashman. "This album isn't so much science fiction as it is a futurist album, expounding upon current trends in technology and leading them to their logical conclusion."

This is all communicated through the influence and intervention of mega-corporation, Valhalla Biotech. The first volume of the "Ones & Zeros" concept feels like a self-contained unit, despite a planned 2016 second volume of songs, which the band have half-completed at press time.

"Ones & Zeros: Vol. 1" features George Dobbs (lead vocals, keyboards), Robert James Pashman (bass, keyboards, backing vocals), Patrick Kliesch (guitar, backing vocals), Eric Pseja (guitar, backing vocals), Aaron Nobel (drums and percussion), and new addition, Bryan Zeigler (lead guitar, backing vocals).

"We signed 3RDegree a couple of years ago because we really wanted to be involved in the release of their new music," says Steve Carroll, 10T Records president. "I honestly believe this to be the band's best material to date! Existing fans will be very pleased and I think there will be a whole new international fan base that will embrace this release."

To better expose their music to that international fan base, 3RDegree will be embarking on the band's first-ever European Tour in September, including an appearance at the UK Summer's End Festival on October 3.  This tour will be flanked on either side with performances in select US cities.

Get the album here:

The band just released a lyric video for the album's epic closer "Blood On My Hands."

Vocalist/keyboardist Thomas Cuce had this to say about the track:

"At the time [I wrote the lyrics] it seemed like every day there was a different person going crazy somewhere and shooting up a building or whatever, and I would ask my self 'Why does this keep happening? What was that person thinking? What led them to do this?' So I tried to put myself in this person's head. I created a character and started from the aftermath of the event, which is where we first hear about it in the news." Of the song's extended arrangement, he says, "It took us months to write this song and then months to learn it. We had a big dry erase board that we used to chart out all the parts with the time signatures until we had them memorized."

You can see the lyric video here:

You can also listen to a stream of the track 'You Are Not Me' here:

Check out "Discard Your Fear" here:

RIVERSIDE's Mariusz Duda checked in about "Discard Your Fear" as follows:
"On the new album I wanted to combine the 70's and the 80's. The 80's were a decade of musical growing up for me. I remember being enchanted by music deep with bass, chorus and all kinds of reverb. 'Discard Your Fear' is a good example of this flow. The lyrics are about the most popular kind of fear that touches most of us - the fear of the unknown."

RIVERSIDE's 6th studio album features cover artwork by longtime design-partner Travis Smith / Seempieces (Katatonia, Opeth, Nevermore, etc.) and will contain the following track-listing:

RIVERSIDE - "Love, Fear and the Time Machine"
1. Lost (Why Should I Be Frightened By a Hat?)
2. Under the Pillow
3. #Addicted
4. Caterpillar and the Barbed Wire
5. Saturate Me
6. Afloat
7. Discard Your Fear
8. Towards the Blue Horizon
9. Time Travellers
10. Found (The Unexpected Flaw of Searching)

A musical package entitled "Day Session", the brighter companion of the "Night Session" presented on the band's previous album "Shrine of New Generation Slaves", will be available as bonus material well.

In other news, RIVERSIDE are kicking off a string of European dates this weekend at "Be Prog! My Friend" festival in Barcelona, Spain and also visit Italy, Germany, The Netherlands and the UK on this run, on which the band will already showcase some of the new album's material.

"100 years ago Italy entered the bloody First World War. 100 years after The War Is Not Over pays tribute to the memory of all the victims of the wars, from World War I to all the conflicts humanity allowed and still allows, not realizing the shameful manipulation which is subjected. The War Is Not Over is an album of passion and meditation. He wants to invite to analyze things in depth, to go beyond the superficial analysis, the shortcuts of the brain. The War Is Not Over wants to give emotions, carry in visions. "

In just seven months after his solo debut In The Woods, appreciated by the press and promoted with a tour started from the Venice Music Biennale 2014, Mike 3rd is back with a special project that comes to homage the victims of all wars, past and present. Written and recorded between the end of 2014 and mid-2015, published under the patronage of the Veneto Region and the Municipality of Carmignano Di Brenta (PD), distributed in all digital stores (Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify etc.) from Sunday, May 24 - 2015, The War Is Not Over is the combination both Mike 3rd's musical visions and emotions.

The musician and producer continues its journey in the name of a modern rock, electronic research, sophisticated yet gritty solutions, original arrangements. Who discovered Mike 3rd with In The Woods will find the unmistakable fragrant analog sound of his Prosdocimi Recording Studio and habitual collaborations with some of the most extraordinary musicians in the world like Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto, (who tied their artistic stature to names like John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Mister Mister), Benny Greb, (of the most admired drummers in the world, Iarin Munari, Alberto Stocco, Andrea Tombesi, Roberta Canzian, Filippo Galvanelli, a team of wonderful Italian talents

Involved in the production aside Mike 3rd renewed L.A. based record producer Ronan Chris Murphy. About his long term collaboration with Murphy Mike said: "when he listened to the recordings the day after arriving in Italy he was impressed, he immediately said that this is the best engineering work I've ever done." Accordingly to Mike 3rd and Ronan Chris Murphy, "a record against every war must fight his peaceful war against the Loudness War", as the songwriter explains, "Ronan says that The War Is Not Over has the glorious sound of milestones like The Dark Side of the Moon and the Beatles White Album. We wanted to compare an extract with U2's Vertigo (from How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb): obviously we had to do a proper "level matching" and in comparison, the sound of The War Is Not Over impressed us deeply for the depth, richness, body, space between the instruments."

Twenty one songs including ten conceptual interludes titled "march" representing a soldier's march inspired by the famous Mussorgskji's Pictures at an Exhibition, an articulated modern and vintage at the same time warm rock sound, an artist, Mike 3rd, featuring a team of extraordinary musicians united in an artistic effort against any war.

Intelligent Music Project III Releases New Single & Video MIND PROJECTION feat. John Payne & Drum Legend Simon Phillips From Forthcoming “Touching the Divine” Album

Sofia, Bulgaria - A year after releasing the all-star project "My Kind O' Lovin'" producer and composer Milen Vrabevski returns to fulfill, as earlier claimed, his promise and ambition with Intelligent Music Project III - "Touching the Divine". The new album features session legends Simon Phillips and Tim Pierce, and Nathan East courtesy of YEG. Тhe production concept relies again on two project launchers - guest stars John Payne (ex-Asia) and Toto's Joseph Williams. Says Joseph, "It's wonderful to explore working with Milen. The project has a wonderful message, accompanied with some beautiful music and some great rock 'n' roll – the musicians in this project are top-noch."

Musically "Touching the Divine" delivers a thrilling example of straightforward songwriting combined with rich and layered sound and gently executed dynamic spins. The first single MIND PROJECTION is a melodic and energetic slice of AOR, scored with John Payne's powerful vocal arrangement and virtuoso instrumental charge, that lets you in deeper to the magic ingredient of this sophisticated project. Bass great Nathan East and fabulous Simon Phillips stamp their own authority in this piece, as well on the record throughout.

Full creative input by all guest stars in the project. Recording sessions took place at Simon Phillips' Phantom recordings (Williams, Pierce, Phillips and East) and at Intelligent Music Studios in Sofia (Payne, Pierce and vocals from Carl Sentance, recently appointed as Nazareth's lead singer). Says Simon, "Music is an universal language. It's really a blessing to have the opportunity to work with musicians from around the world."

MIND PROJECTION brings together once again the positive idea of the producer and composer Milen Vrabevski, that following the true excitement of our hearts and souls will give us the key to living a conscious live and to spiritual satisfaction, we often call happiness. Says Nathan, "This project is very special to me, because of the nature of the message of the project. I was very inspired and happy with the idea, because the message has value and meaning and I am about that. The word 'inspirational' is what I use to describe this project."

John Payne, who continues his 14 year legacy as "ASIA Featuring John Payne" says, "Doing this project with Milen - it has been great, really - these songs have a lot of structure and melody. It's a very mature project, it's a very intelligent project for the mind."

Says Milen Vrabevski, "I believe we managed to deliver an astonishing sound once again and it will delight the ears and sound systems of hardcore rockers all around the world. Bearing in mind the top-noch level of our guest stars, I allowed myself mainly to record the acoustic guitar of the first single MIND PROJECTION. The video was shot in Bulgaria by Vasil Stefanov, a very prolific and talented video director. The explicit idea was to show the level of collaboration and collective effort of all featuring musicians, which I believe, would be one of the most intriguing aspects for the music fans."

Says Tim Pierce, "My DNA is 'a rock player'. Musically, this project is fun, because it travels a lot of different places."

"I really enjoyed working with Milen in his studio. There is a great sense of depth in his songs. We tried to get the best of my voice." (Carl Sentance)

Intelligent Music Project III – "Touching the Divine" is coming out in late September 2015.

"The coming album is to bring us to the subject of the essence of life. It directs to searching for this special place within our souls that brings the spiritual satisfaction we often call happiness. It is our source of love and creation, balance and harmony. This place is the Divine in us all…" (Milen Vrabevski, MD)

* Box Set Limited Collector's edition includes CD/DVD deluxe edition, 2LP, tshirt (L size ONLY), poster, lithograph

Blackmore's Night vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Candice Night says, "There's a theme to ALL OUR YESTERDAYS' chosen songs that focuses on the attitude of living in the present, and looking toward the future, because we are, indeed, enriched by our past. My main theme and inspiration has always been nature and folklore from around the world."

Candice Night and Ritchie Blackmore's lives and creative journeys have taken them through different characters and songs from a variety of times in history. That is part of the attitude in the song "Where Are We Going from Here," about a traveling minstrel's journey through life and age.

The title track (and also the first single and video), "All Our Yesterdays" echoes the sounds of Candice's Russian roots, while a new song written by Germany's George Hesse is an old-style, fiddle-driven instrumental with the Welsh title "Allan yn y Fan" (meaning "Out There"). Ritchie's heritage includes family from Wales.

The album also includes stunning instrumentals: the acoustic guitar piece, "Queen's Lament" and the dramatic "The Darker Shade of Black" that spotlights violin and guitar.

Elsewhere on the recording, "Earth Wind and Sky" is a delicate ode to nature. "The Other Side," a latter-day folk dance joins two jigs that Candice sings: "Coming Home" and the supernatural-themed, "Will o' the Wisp."

ALL OUR YESTERDAYS gets further inspiration from Candace and Ritchie's home town, where they take part in community folk nights during which the neighbors share guitars and songs, and sing melodies that have come from a variety of times in their own history. That's how they fell in love with songs of various radio formats of years gone by. The album includes  the Linda Ronstadt hit "Long Long Time" (penned by Gary White); the Mike Oldfield song, "Moonlight Shadow;" and an inspiring Maypole Dance treatment of  Sonny & Cher's "I Got You Babe."

Blackmore's Night is a true musical and spiritual collaboration between vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Candice Night and her husband, legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. The two met in 1989 when Deep Purple challenged Candice's then radio station to a charity soccer match.  In 1993 she sang on Rainbow's DIFFICULT TO CURE tour. They co-wrote four songs for Rainbow's STRANGER IN US ALL and in 1997 they formed Blackmore's Night; they continue to play Faire Festivals all over the world.

Twisted Sister's Dee Snider Featured On New CD By Dual Female Fronted Power Trio TANG

"TANG Rocks!" - Dee Snider

NYC - One of the hottest releases of 2015 is undoubtedly the new album by dual female fronted alternative metal power trio TANG featuring a guest appearance by legendary Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider! Titled "Blood & Sand", TANG's new CD features a duet with Dee Snider on the track "Reign of Blood"!

Says guitarist Denny Colt, "Bonnie knew Dee from back in the day when they both did the club circuit...I hooked up with Dee when I was in Van Helsing's Curse with him..so we have quite the connection. He's a really nice guy & did such a great job on the duet with Bonnie on 'Reign of Blood.'"

Hailing from New York, TANG features Bonnie Parker on Vox & Bass and Denny Colt on Vox, Lead Guitar & Keyboards, and have been trading phrases back and forth in their own ripping style since 1999. Mark Edwards, formerly of Criss Angel & Burning Star, now brings skull-splitting drum beats and a monster attitude. TANG has toured Europe, Canada and the US opening shows for such artists as Crucified Barbara, Girlschool, W.A.S.P., Dokken, Hammerfall, Helloween, Dee Snider, Symphony X and many, many other cool bands.

Denny played guitar, toured & recorded in Dee Snider's "Van Helsing's Curse", the gothic rock orchestra. Bonnie & Denny have currently played, toured & recorded, with Corky Laing from Mountain in his new band "Corky Laing & The Memory Thieves". They are also working with Corky in Finland, writing, recording & performing on a rock opera called "Playing God" which was presented in Helsinki in 2014. The opera was presented in the US in April 2015 at Yale University & Hunter College.

"I love the total rock vibe of the new TANG CD! It's real, it's vital - it's brilliant." - Corky Laing

TANG is featured in the new Fred Carpenter film, "Charlie Mantle", performing their song "Crashing". The film debuted summer of 2014 and stars Armand Assante, Sean Young and Robert Funaro. Says Bonnie, "TANG was in the film performing the song in a Russian mob club as the lead character, Robert Funaro (of The Soprano's), is at the end of his dirty cop career & everything is 'crashing' down around him. Great concept by director Fred Carpenter!"

Now much to the excitement of their fans worldwide, on September 1, 2015, TANG is releasing their new CD "Blood & Sand"!

Says Denny, "TANG is currently promoting the release of 'Blood & Sand' doing shows in the tri-state area. We are talking with promoters in Europe, Scandinavia & the US about setting up a tour. Our first CD, 'Mental Pollution' was on a Swedish label, Raw Power UK, and we toured Scandinavia to support it. The tours were very successful culminating with TANG performing at the Sweden Rock Fest."

TANG:
Denny Colt - Guitar, keys & vocals
Bonnie Parker - Bass & vocals
Mark Edwards – Drums
