Keyboardists/Composers Federico Fantacone, Lisa LaRue Slate Transatlantic CD For Fall Release

"Sonic Landscape" CD release 3 year collaboration
in the making

Federico Fantacone, a progressive rock keyboardist and composer from Italian prog act Frigo, and Lisa LaRue, a progressive rock keyboardist and composer best known for her projects 2K9 and 2KX, have combined their talents to record the CD "Sonic Landscape" ("Paesaggi di Suono" in Italian). The Fantacone /LaRue project is a culmination of over three years of trading ideas, files, tracks, and inspirations across the Atlantic Ocean. The CD will feature 9 tracks and will have two versions: an English language package and an Italian language package each featuring a different cover illustration.  The CD is scheduled for release this Fall.

A single from the album "Air Dancer" by Fantacone/LaRue is available on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J8Y08u-iI4#t=18. The song is a tribute to master parachute rigger, military veteran, and free-fall instructor Jordan "Jordo" Janway who passed away this year.

Fantacone and LaRue previously collaborated on the song "Aspiration" which was released in December, 2012. The track was originally a piano piece written and performed by LaRue, for which Fantacone wrote, arranged and performed orchestrations.

Federico Fantacone currently lives in Samone, Piemonte, Italy. He has played in the band Frigo in the late 1970's-early 1980's, along with Marco Croci who is now the bass player for Italian prog band Maxophone, and Paolo Dolfini who also played keyboards for well-known Italian prog band Jumbo. Fantacone's cover of the Flower Kings' instrumental "The Rain Maker" appears on the box set "A Flower Full of Stars," a tribute to the Flower Kings compiled by Marco Bernard (Samurai) for Musea Records. Fantacone has also recorded four albums under the moniker "Orchestre Celestri", most recently the album "Four." He has also recently contributed a cover of Steve Hackett's "Transylvanian Express" included in the forthcoming "Family Snapshop" - a 3 CD box set to celebrate the solo careers of Genesis members being issued by Mellow Records.

Lisa LaRue, who has released 7 albums, is a progressive rock keyboardist who has worked extensively with John Payne (Asia featuring John Payne) with her band 2KX, and collaborated and worked with many others including Nikki Squire (Esquire), Michael Sadler (Saga), Ryo Okumoto (Spock's Beard), David Mark Pearce, and her husband, singer-songwriter John Baker (Mars Hollow, The Little Girls). She is a two-time Oklahoma Music Awards' Native American Artist of the Year, and her band 2KX has been nominated as Best Instrumental Band at the Los Angeles Music Awards as well as other nominations.
