Signal to Noise Ratio - New track released!

After a long period of relative silence Signal to Noise Ratio released a new track. The "Körkarlen Suite" is constructed around the themes taken from SNR's soundtrack to the classic Swedish silent film "The Phantom Carriage" by Victor Sjöström. It can be listened to through YouTube (http://youtu.be/e4aOflCU5oQ) or Bandcamp (http://signaltonoiseratio.bandcamp.com), where a digital download is also available (Pay What You Want). "Körkarlen Suite" is the first track from the "Work in Progress" album - a release that will be successively updated with new tracks throughout 2013.

During the last few years Signal to Noise Ratio has been rather silent. We buried ourselves in the works on the planned "Mitologia epoki maszyn" album, which proceed in a slow but steady pace. In the meantime we have prepared some new material, mostly not related to that album: some pieces presented live, the "Phantom Carriage" silent film soundtrack, some variants of old compositions... We decided that they're worthy of being released, especially that from the beginning they were prepared for playing live, so we can reduce the studio work to a minimum.

First we present a suite of themes from "The Phantom Carriage" ("Körkarlen"). You can listen to it through YouTube (as a film trailer, http://youtu.be/e4aOflCU5oQ) or through Bandcamp (http://signaltonoiseratio.bandcamp.com), where a digital download is
also available (Pay What You Want).

This and the next recordings will form the "Work in Progress" album - a non-standard album, because the track list will be successively updated with new recordings as soon as they're are available. 4 or 5 tracks will be released throughout 2013, and we plan to sell them all as digital downloads in the Pay What You Want system. In the end we'll smash the virtual piggy bank and see if we can make a physical album from the donations.
