For immediate release April 2012 - Combine European power metal, rhythmic biting guitars, symphonic searing keyboards, modern industrial touches with passionate, memorable vocal performances and you have 'Achillea'
Achillea was formed towards the latter part of 2011 by UK guitarist/writer Paul Jupe and drummer/producer Garry King (Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow/Deep Purple and Jeff Beck).
Garry and Paul decided to work on a new project with the idea of bringing artists together from around the world, showing that no matter where you come from you can create amazing music. With connections in various other countries the search began and, through the internet, the project was quickly built.
In late 2011, vocalist Gus Cunha and guitarist GiNo Esteves joined the project. Garry approached ex-touring band mate Betovani (Joe Lynn Turner 2009/10) to help with the project and in a very short while recording started. In early 2012, after already recording on a number of the sessions, keyboard player extraordinaire Fab Jablonski officially joined the ranks and Achillea was complete.
We are already in the process of arranging Achillea shows internationally, including South America, Europe and Japan and have no doubt that the songs, sound and live performances will wow any audience.
