Sofia INTRO!FESTIVAL gathers international mega stars for the official opening of the music season.
Sofia INTRO!FESTIVAL marks the beginning of the new season with celebrations of music and fun. During the Festival days, from 10th to 12th of May, we are all going to speak the same language . the language of the music.
The festival will take place at the Sofia International Airport Park near Terminal 2. The park gives a wonderful opportunity for both artists and audience to enjoy the three festival days in a larger open space close to the business city.
The first INTRO!FESTIVAL in Sofia presents a whole new concept of event making: we put the focus on the bands, the DJs andthe music itself because music is what brings us together. Having two stages for two different styles of music is anadequate answer to the desire to give the audience a better music experience in a short time.
This year on the INTRO!FESTIVALFestival ground there will be a Rock Stage and a DJ Electronic Dance Stage.
On both stages of the festival huge international artists will perform for a first time in Eastern Europe.
Among these names are: Eisbrecher (Germany), THE SLOT (Russia), H-Blockx (Germany), Mono Inc (Germany), Doomfoxx (Australia), QPD (Australia), DJ Sascha (Germany), Marcus Raute (Italy), Abnormal Boyz (Italy), Drunken Masters (Germany), MONARKEN (Sweden), Quick and Dirty (Switzerland) and many more.
Among the Bulgarian bands who will be on the Rock stage are My Disorder, Jerihon, Maze, Shum, Yuvigi, Q-Check, Doctor�fs Gogo bandandmany more. The Bulgarian electronic scene will be presented by the talented United Colors of Music trio Dr Feelgroove, Moevv andDeep Laid, the bright newcomer Gosh, DJ Malkavian feat DJ FANatic and many more are about to be announced.
The festival doors will open at 14:00 pm and will close at 6:00 am for visitors. The official opening will start at 18:00 pm on the firstday. The concept of the festival is built around the idea of the larger universal meaning carried by music. Along with the programson the stages, Sofia Intro Festival has a social agenda too. The organization is taking the chance to carry a message to the worldsupporting I CAN TOO, Animal Rescue, Children�fs Support Center and others.
The prices for the festival were chosen by fan vote. The price for one day pass is 50 BGN leva(25 euro) and the price for the three day pass is set to 120 BGN leva (60 euro). 5 BGN leva are going from each and every ticket to the social organizations I CAN TOO, Animal Rescue and others that will be on festival ground. Tickets will be available for purchase online and in ticket stands all over Europe.

The German rock and roll band H-Blockx are promising quite the show! Henning, Tim, Steffan and Gudze have been around for some timenow. Since the release of their first album "Time to Move" in 1994 the band has always been on scene with nonstop raising qualityever since. There�fs hardly ever a person who hasn�ft heard their hits�hThe Power", "Countdown to insanity" and "An open letter to a friend".
THE SLOT
Russia�es most phenomenal band "THE SLOT" is coming for a first time in Bulgaria. Formed in 2002 the band emerges breaking allthe boundaries of its musical genre, inspiring people with words, and constantly redefining itself. Powerful sound and fantastic vocalsmake "THE SLOT" define the unique signature of the talented artists. The voice of Nookie(vocals) is strong, polished to perfection and takesthe fantastic sound of Cache (vocals, programming), ID (guitar), The Dude(drums) and NiXon(bass) to the next level. The SLOT havereceived numerous industry awards including Hit of the Year in both 2006 (2 Wars) and 2007 (They Killed Kenny), Vocal Performanceof the Year in 2005, and NewsMusic.ru�es 2007 Rock Album of the Year Award. Their music has appeared on the score and/or soundtrackof a dozen major Russian movies including such international hits as "Daywatch", "Nightwatch", and "Boomer."
MONO INC
The band from Hamburger goes beyond the mono and stereo sound. Martin Engler, Manuel Antoni, Carl Fornia and Katha Mia standproudly behind the world famous "Voices Of Doom", "In my heart", "Teach me to love" and "Get Some Sleep". Very popular in Central Europethe Goth metal band will set foot for a first time on Bulgarian soil at the Sofia INTRO!FESTIVAL.
EISBRECHER
The fantastic duo of Alex Wesselsky and Noel Pix claim that their style is that they don�ft have a style but Industrial Metal fans know that Eisbrecher�fs "SchwarzeWitwe", "Vergissmeinnicht", "This is Deutsch", "Eiszeit" und "OhneDich", "Verruckt" are striking withcomplex sound and deep meaningful lyrics. Industrial metal fans have their full trust set upon Eisbrecher. The band will present theirnewest album "Die Holle muss warten" at the Sofia INTRO!FESTIVAL. Having the band for a first time in Eastern Europe is a dreamcome true for both fans and organizers. The countdown is on.
DOOMFOXX
The Australian rockers have a certain charm and style. Formed in 2005 in Sydney, Doomfoxx have toured the world, released 2 records, and are in the process of making their third album.
QPD
Kyle Pearce (vocals/ guitar) and Miles Baulch (guitar) are QPQ, a rock pop duo that blends acoustic and pop sensibilities to giveeverybody something to relate to. The guys have just are started their world tour promoting the debut album "Yes or No".

DRUNKEN MASTERS
The German electro trash duet Big Joe and Dj Slim-C from Drunken Masters say they never restrict themselves to a special kindof genre. What they do is to simply mix all kinds of music and also produce their own mash-ups.
DJ SASCHA
DJ Sascha is a well-known DJ from Dusseldorf nightlife.German�fs popular information portal VirtualNights says about DJ SASCHA " Surrounded by the lascivious colors, the plates DJ SASCHA plays are mainly house music, but also R & Band dance classics that may rotate a few rounds."
MARCUS RAUTE
Italian newcomer prodigy Marcus Rauteis a certain kind of producer that likes to innovate and refine his variedsound palette in the best way experiencing on genres like House, Techno and Minimal. Born in Italy in 1985 he was immediatelydrawn to the fast-growing underground scene of the late 90�fs and the early 2000�fs. In his DJ-sets, MarcusRaute shows a versatile andimaginative creativity and an extensive knowledge of the underground music rightly balanced in a mixture of groovy beats for thedancefloor.
ABNORMAL BOYZ
Behind the Abnormal Boyz are two Neapolitan friends who dedicated their whole life to the electronic music. The music theypropose is always fresh and groovy mix of house and techno music. Their gigs around Europe have always big success. They have played in several countries such as Spain, England, Holland, Russia, France, Italy.
MONARKEN
The Eccentric Swedish trio MONARKEN are spreading music firein theDJbooth.Their style is an exquisitemix ofelectro, house and rap. Sebbe, Erik &Akeare well known inWestern Europe,withtheir collaboration with many international artists, andtheir presence inmany music festivals. The MONARKEN will bein Bulgaria for a first timeand have preparedan interesting repertoire.
Talented Segei Dalbrosovsky was already in the DJ booth in Germany, Switzerland and China. The Helvet Underground music label promises an interesting presentation of the first Bulgarian participation with many attractions and music. Quick and Dirty�fs style is often defined by an intriguing electro-rock Nerd selection.

MY DISORDER
Young, talented and feisty My Disorder are the alternative/ metal band that aims for the top. Dimitar Dikov (vocals, guitar), Simeon Charakov (lead guitar), Andrey Velikov (bass) and Antoni Trandev (drums) surely know they music well. The band has had many stage appearances in clubs in Sofia and is pretty known to the Bulgarian public with original songs and energetic live performances. My Disorder�fs songs "Hate", "Everytime" and ..."A song about everything" were aired on the national airand brought My Disorder popularity. In the summer of 2011 My Disorder won First place award for best band at "Nessebar Pop-Rock Fest", and also theaward for best vocal at the fest.
MAZE
MAZE a new metal band that has been around for some time, producing alternative metal sound, backed up with melodious, daringvocals and impressive keyboards. DimitarStefanov (vocals), Yavor Kostadinchev (guitar), Vasil Andreev (bass), Stefan Stefanov (keyboards) are the core of the band. Maze promoted the release of their debut album, "Cell 7034", in RBF Hall on 16 April 2011. The album features 10 songs, including the singles Delete, Everything Ours and For Myself. For Myself won the first place in the "Kamenitza Rock 40" chart of radio Z-Rock where it held on the top for 59 weeks. The album was an immediate success and was acclaimed by the critics. The Bulgarian edition of the Rolling Stone magazine rated it at 3.5/4.
SHUM
SHUM was founded in the winter of 2008 and it�fs current band members are Ivan Maslev (vocals, guitar), Miroslav Bradistolov (drums) and Nicholas Enchev (bass). Their music is wild, and different from the commercial "progress" sound of the Bulgarian scene. The main idea of the band is to create a mix of punk, hard rock and metal sound with a lot of stage shows, memorable music with biting lyrics and even obscene. Each song the band plays with feeling and energy that bring out remarkable stage performances.
JERIHON
Jerihon is a Bulgarian rock band formed in 2006. Mihhpil Russev (drums/ vocals/ keyboards), Boris Samarinov (bass/vocals), Martina Baldzhieva(violin/ vocals/ keyboards) and Stoyan Bozov (guitar/ vocals) are the members of the quartet. Jerihon have released already two studio albums - New Day (2009) and Step Through (2010). The band is known for its stage presence, rock solid sound and heart touching performance. Their music is innovative with sharp and provocative lyrics. The band has won awards from a number ofcontests and actively participates in festivals, television and radio shows in their home country of Bulgaria.
YUVIGI
Yuvigi a progressive metal band whose sound is an energetic blend of heavy sounds and traditionalBulgarian motives, mixed with not so traditional musical dimensions. The songs from the band's first single - "Escape / The Last Window" (2009) reach the top in the charts for Bulgarian music, the debut album "Grey Desert" (2010) confirmed YuViGi as one of the most promising young rock bands on the Bulgarian scene. Appreciation, which receives the debut of progressive quartet, and is reinforced by the choice of heating YuViGi Alert legendary annual concert of the Bulgarian National Radio in the summer of 2010.At the end of that year the band released its first DVD. True to our desire to create new and original music in early 2012 Yuvigi present instrumental "681", which participates as guest musician, keyboardist for American Veterans Programs "Spock's Beard" - Ryo Okumoto. The song caused a genuine interest among fans and critics, and alludes to the sound of the next studio work of the group. Currently Yuvigiare recording their second album, that is due to be out later this year.
Q-CHECK
Q-Check Band was established in2007. Their styleis a mix ofreggae, punk, skaandmetal. Q-Checkhas two albums and 3 official videos so far. What makes the band stand out isironyof the lyrics, the mocking native reality and u pbe at mood that brings out their music. The last video of the band is called "Morska". It's a song with a positive and summerska reggae vibes. The vocals are sang by Rose. Q-Checkis formed by Rose (vocals), Lachezar Bosakov (vocalsand guitar), Orlin Branyakov (vocals and bass), Milko Alexandrov (guitar), Georgi Mihailov (vocals and bagpipes) an dMarin Lashev (drums). The last song the band did was a mad rock abilly "JAzzNo. 6" where Harry Surmatais joining the band as a guest musician.
DOCTOR�fS GOGO BAND
"Doctor Gogo Band" was established in spring 2004 as a duet between George Kosturkoff (Gogo) - drums and vocals and Dimitar Tzolov- guitar and vocals. From the very beginning the tw omusicians decided to performonly songs with Bulgarian language lyrics. Their musicis a blend of melodic punk and alternative rock, but also has ska and reggae influences. Ilko Krastev - guitar and bassist and Peter Yordanov joint the band for their stage appearances. later Peter Yordanov is replaced by Ivaylo Kolchev. The band has a studio album - "Wuthering A****". "Doctor Gogo Band" has a permanent presence in the Bulgarian underground club scene. The bands has been involved with many music forums - "Down Fest "Vratsa 2008", "Pop-Rock Fest" Nessebar 2009 Alarm Punk-Jazz Festiva lin the spring of 2010 (the first studio of Radio), "Osvezenje Fest "Pirot 2010," Spirit of Burgas "2010," a Flower for Gosho" 2011 and others.

DR. FEELGROOVE
Kiri lBakardjieva.k.a Dr. Feelgroove is a DJ and producer who entered the music world in 1994. Since then music plays key role inhis life and parties as well as work in studio are his stage to perform. At the moment Dr. Feelgroove has his own radio show on Radio NOVA 101.7 FM Sofia . Let�fs be close, that runs live on air every Tuesday at 20:00 (18:00 GMT). Dr. Feelgroove's interest in the club culture is focused mainly on house genre funky, tribal, tech and etc. Positive and devoted to the entertainment of his audience he turns the latter as a priority of his work. He clearly states this by his music selection and way of mixing diverse sounds putting his own trace. His active work style combines successfully performance and organization of huge electronic parties and studio records. His newest party concept is the United Colors of Music party that gives the audience to enjoy a brand new level of entertainment two music halls with two completely different music styles: one hall for the "Collection of classics" and one for the freshest house music. When music and colors come together it�fs time for party with the "United Colors of Music" crew.
MOEVV
When we talk about contemporary electronic music we must definitely mention the energetic and vivid artist named Moevv. He is oneof the most promising newcomers in the Bulgarian electronic dance scene. With a remarkable taste for high quality music and hunter�fssense for details, Moevv strikes with energy that no man can resist. Ever since he was 14 years old music plays a major role in hislife. At the age of 15 he is already spinning in the clubs. It took him just a few years later to have him on the DJ deck in front of100.000 people in Argentina. Moevv defines his style as a dynamic mix of energetic Swedish and Dirty Dutch t„uch-house. He can beheard play live at Yalta club on Tuesday along with Dr. Feelgroove at the "Let�fs be close" party. He was aired on Bulgaria National Radio contemporary music show Club Beats. Moevv stars also as a headliner DJ at the monthly "United Colors of Music" party at Yalta club.
DEEP LAID
Deep Laidis a young Bulgarian DJ, whose musical career beganin 2010. With the support ofDr.Feelgroove, Deep Laidbegan to play every weekin Club Culture Beat during the Liv eradio show Let's Be Closeto Dr.Feelgroove. With the time, Deep Laid's style is evolving fromdeep, soulful, tech & vocal house t omore tech, tribal and techno tracks. The support of Dr.Feelgroove makes him want to go further. He is currently a member of the "Let's Be Close with Dr.Feelgroove" team. On the occasion ofthe birthday of "Let's Be Close with Dr.Feelgroove" i nYalta Club, Deep Laid played live streaming for radio NOVA. Deep Laidis part of the headline DJ crew at United Colors Of Music. Currently, his styleis set modern tech, progressive & techno style.
GOSH
Feelings and imagination - that's all he needs to create something which can blow out the speakers. The 4 by 4 beats attract his ears on the age of 14 when he makes his first steps in music producing. One year later he starts to record mixes and by improoving his mixing skills he wins a dj contest. After that he starts 2 radio shows on SoundSet and TI radio where he gets the chance to work with DJ-s like Andrea Roma, Mario Miranda, Marco Lansi and etc. Gosh finishes on 5th place in IDC 2009 part of the Allmix team. In 2010 he reached the semifinals of the fusion DJ rally and the final of the soundtrack of Sofia contest with his track Walkin Sofia.
DJ MALKAVIAN
Tuned into the dark side of the electronic music, tempted by the power machine and industrial sounds like EBM, Harsh-EBM, Aggrotech, Rhythmic Noise and Industrial, DJ Malkavian enters the DJ world in 2009 behind the DJ deck at Sofia�fs renewed undergroundclub "3 Ushi". In 2011 DJ Maklavian takes part in the Black Sun Rising Open Air, which is the first winter edition of the Bulgarian Industrial Gothic Festival.
DJ FANatic
DJ FANatic made his first steps into DJ spinning in the year 2006 and quickly becomes a name in the Bulgarian underground electronicscene. In the following years he is on the DJ deck along with many names. His favorite styles are rhythmic noise and industrial,inspired by the music heritage created by Noisuf-X, Oomph!,Eisbrecher, S.A.M. and many others.
