Founded in 2003, Xerosun began cutting their teeth by gigging relentlessly across Ireland and England. It wasn't long before the crafting of their sound and vision continued with the expansion into the realms of music videos

Crossing the boundaries of heavy music with soaring and passionate vocals, Xerosun has carved a place for themselves in post-modern metal. Their début album "Absence of Light" was awarded the maximum 5 out of 5 by the UK's Black Velvet Magazine who described it as an "…industrial monster… drawn together brilliantly and magnificently done". Subsequently, in addition to their notable achievements, Xerosun was asked to share the stage as direct support to the mighty Avenged Sevenfold on the Irish leg of their world tour where the band experienced a very receptive and engaged crowd singing lyrics and chanting for Xerosun. It has been quoted by an Avenged Sevenfold Fan Page as being rather difficult to impress the A7X die-hard fans.
With a strong, grass-roots support in the US college radio circuit and a fast growing fan base in Europe, XEROSUN captured the interest of Frank James of Rage On Stage Management. "I was intrigued by the growing popularity of Xerosun and was confident the band would be a great asset to the Rage On Stage family www.reverbnation.com/label/rageonstagemanagement says James. It's rare to see bands break out of Ireland, let alone hear the great musical talent that exists in that amazing country, so when I was turned on to Xerosun, it was an obvious decision for me to approach them to join our roster.
