Kelly Padrick is one of the talented Indie Artists that Manhattan Production Music/TSM UK represents. Kelly's music is dreamy, primarily keyboard-based, but not always devoid of some ethereal bit of guitar. Stylistically things go from Pop to Power Pop, to Dance and ballads.. Occasional reminiscences to Bjork, Stevie Nicks and a calmer Gwen Stefani are certainly justified.
Kelly began writing songs at the age of five. Performing in coffee houses in Rhode Island, she decided to stretch her musical wings and moved to NYC.
Once she arrived, Kelly got into the independent music scene and began playing local clubs, while collaborating with various musicians in NY and Los Angeles.
Kelly has released 4 full length CDs, "Haze" (from which her song "Pizza and Fairytales" was featured in the Fox Searchlight movie "Trust The Man" and movie soundtrack), "Carmine Street", "Hello My Love", and now "Soulmate", with her producer and songwriting partner Nancy Hess. "Soulmate" features music that embodies the haunting and ethereal.
"The Brooklyn Hours", a six song EP, includes the songs "Ties That Bind" and "The Brooklyn Hours", featured prominently in ABC's "Desperate Housewives" promos during the 2010 season.
PRESS:
'Kelly's music is dreamy, primarily keyboard-based, but not always devoid of some dreamy/ ethereal bit of guitar. Stylistically things go from Pop to Power Pop, to Dance-worthy stuff and ballads...and her voice fits in everywhere. In my book, miss Padrick gets top scores' - Concreteweb.be
'For the most part it's a moody, haunting and ethereal set. Twenty to thirty years ago Kelly Padrick would have made a major splash, undoubtedly retro it is, I have to admit, rather enjoyable' - Get Ready To Rock, UK
