Our new live CD, Behind our Eyes has been released today. The original intention was to release it as a download only, but after a number of emails and messages from our fan base, we agreed to do a limited release of it on CD.
Only 500 copies have been pressed, and over half of those have been preordered, leaving us with less than 200 of the CD copies left. The CDs, and indeed the download are still available fromhere.
We've included a free download of the 9 minute set opener 'Partitionists' as a free gift, if you've not yet heard it. Who doesn't like free prog?
We sincerely appreciate everyone who preordered the album. They've already started leaving us and should all be in the post by the end of this week. It's the biggest number of preorders we've ever had and it's more than we expected. All proceeds go to funding our shows in Europe in May, and we're really grateful for that.
UPCOMING CONCERTS
Our last show in Sydney for a while is on Saturday night at the Factory Theatre. We're playing the Factory Floor, which is the downstairs venue with our friends AlithiA, fellow Bird's RobersShanghai and Mandala. The set will include a few lesser-played tracks and one we've never played before, and is a great warm up for next month's European shows.
Tickets are still available for Germany's Prog the Castle Festival in Heidelberg. We're closing the show on Saturday May 9th with a big set that includes massive chunks of all three albums. Also appearing are RWPL, Also Eden, Neverdream, Elora, Argos, Effloresce, Crystal Palace,Tramhaus and Anivision.
The following weekend - Friday May 15th - we are performing at the wonderful Cultuurpodium Boederij in Zoetermeer, Netherlands. This is an incredible venue and a bit of a dream for the band as it's been the stamping ground of some of the world's best prog bands. We never expected to make it there.
Finally, we have one more European show up our sleeve, which we hope to announce very soon. Without giving too much away, it's a date which has great significance to three of the band members. It will be on Saturday May 16th, and it'll be in the UK. Save the date, UK fans. More news to follow.
We initially hoped to be able to do a more extensive tour, but were limited by time and budget. Hopefully though, it won't be long before we come back and do it all again.
BOOTLEG SERIES
Whilst we were going through some old drives, we came across a whole heap of interesting things that we were thinking of making available as a download for anyone who was interested. Amongst those were the earliest demos of material from the 'A Tower of Silence' album and the original demo that David and Robert submitted to the band of the album in near-complete form.
Whilst the sound quality is by no means CD quality (never really meant to be heard by anyone other than us), ongoing interest in the 'A Tower of Silence' album does mean we're considering making a very interesting work-in-progress version of the album available for the completionists.
