American instrumental group Djam Karet is recording 3 new CDs for 2013, etc...
Djam Karet is hard at work in their private recording studio, creating 3 new albums for 2013.
The first one: The Trip, is already recorded and is currently being mixed. It is one long continuous track/a dreamy cinematic journey back through time. The Trip is scheduled for release in March 2013.
The other two albums currently being recorded are not yet titled, but one will be mostly Rocky and Fusiony with many wailing guitar and synth solos, and the other one is more Electronic with driving rhythms and beautiful wandering melodies. These are full-length albums that feature all new music. (Music samples from these up-coming albums will be available soon on the band's websites).
Djam Karet's record label Firepool Records is releasing the new Herd Of Instinct CD: Conjure, on January 22nd 2013. Conjure is the second release by Herd Of Instinct (with Djam Karet's Gayle Ellett on Mellotron and Moog) and features guest musicians Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree) and Joel Adair (Legacy Brass Quintet), with loops by Steve Tibbetts. Formed in 1984, Los Angeles based Djam Karet will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary together in 2014 with a few select concerts around the world (TBA).
During the past 28 years, they have recorded 15 albums (and contributed music to an additional 23 compilation CDs, minor releases, EPs, etc), and these 3 new albums look to be their best so far!
