The Room Sign Record Contract with Melodic Revolution Records and release a new album


British rock band The Room have signed to US label Melodic Revolution Records securing the release of their debut album.
The band who hail from London and the Home Counties have been together for around two years, playing their first UK shows just 12 months ago.

Announcing the contract, The Room vocalist Martin Wilson said: "We are absolutely delighted to have signed the deal with Melodic Revolution Records. They are an up and coming label with an incredible energy about them".

Guitarist Steve Anderson said: "Label president Nick Katona has a wealth of industry knowledge and I know we are going to benefit hugely from his advice and support".

Katona, of the Florida based Melodic Revolution Records, is delighted with the signing. He said: "From the first tune on the album, I knew that there was something special about this band and I am truly honoured to be working with some of the finest musicians in the world today, known as The Room".

The band's debut album "Open Fire" will be released on the label later this year. It was recorded at Platform Studios in Hurst, Berkshire with producer Damon Sawyer.

"Open Fire is a stunning debut release for The Room, keep your eyes and ears on this band" said Katona.

Andy Rowe, bass guitarist said: "We have worked so hard for the last year on this album and we are so excited by the label's reaction to it. We can't wait to get out and play it live".

The album launch and supporting UK live shows will be announced soon.
