LA MALASANGRE
Release trippy new video for
"Contracorriente"
Colombian band La Malasangre has shared their brand new video for "Contracorriente" (Countercurrent), the first single for their newest homonymous album, due for release in 2016. For lovers of bands like Tool, Porcupine Tree, Anathema and Opeth, they blend some of the common elements of progressive sound with some latin rhythms that allows them to explore and reach new limits into their sound.
"Contracorriente" features guest vocals by Argentinian rock band Eruca Sativa's singer Lula Bertoldi, making this effort an excellent glimpse of the current South American music scene. Starring female lead singer Karen Castiblanco, this trippy video was made as a collaboration between photographer & filmmaker Nicolás Caballero Arenas (48 Hour Film Project's Winner for "Avril" Short Film) and the Jiménez Brothers from SHARPBALL (Los Angeles-based Charming Liars' latest video among others).
