3RDegree to release new studio album THE LONG DIVISION

3RDegree's first new studio album in over 3 years will be officially
released in September so why are we telling you now?

Well, have you heard of the "crowd funding" sites Kickstarter.com,
RocketHub.com and others like it? On those sites, you "crowd fund" a
project-usually at the beginning of the writing or recording
process-in exchange for unique prizes (house concert, unreleased
demos, merch) later on down the road.

Cool idea, but we're finishing our album as we write this, so we
intend to use whatever funds we can raise and put it toward the
manufacturing of the CD, album cover and promotion. Your donation
(open from now until May 30th) via Paypal (or other method-email us
for options) will get the album in your hands by late June! In the
summer, press outlets will be getting their reviews of the CD ready
and we will be getting our live show and a music video ready for the
September official release date. Please come to www.3RDegreeONLINE.com
and see what we've come up with. Believe it or not, one donation
level allows you a speaking part on this album!

To further illustrate what we're doing here, watch this video. We
hope you find it very entertaining!

What can we tell you about the album? Well, like Narrow-Caster (our
last album from 2008) it will be in an "eco-wallet" which uses no
plastic and ships cheaply. It is 10 songs long with over 50 minutes
of music. It also has 3 songs longer in length than any we've
recorded! While it's not a "concept album", it would be fair to call
it a "thematic album". And while not every song fits the mold,
roughly half will hit you as being very timely this election year.
No, we're not taking sides here, but there's lots to say about
divisions-red/blue, black/white, rich/poor, on and on it goes.
