FORCES AT WORK are five musicians from Wuppertal, Germany, who now release their first full length album after 12 years of existence. Three demo-CDs were the first signs of existence and resulted in great reviews, especially for demo number three called "Reverse Feng Shui Audio Guide". On the new album "Straight" singer Sebastian Wischermann (ex RAW) is the center of attention with his powerful but melodic voice, but also the intense and high end instrumental work deserves a special mention.
The new songs are complex and versatile and need a few spins to unfold before the listener.
The skills of the musicians were recognized early on when no other than Victor Smolski (RAGE) recorded a classic piece from Bach with FORCES AT WORK for his Soloalbum "Majesty & Passion". On "Straight" all influences ranging from classical to Hardcore, from Thrash to Jazz are combined and intertwined to a fitting mixture which the band aims to perform live as much as possible. Their CD release was celebrated as opener for ANIMALS AS LEADERS in Bochum, and for the rest of the year many other gigs are planned.
