Marillion...just a few more days and they will be in North America!

Seminal British rockers Marillion, return to North America for a 13-date summer tour, begins on June 10 in Washington DC

  • Marillion are Steve 'h' Hogarth (vocals), Steven Rothery (guitar), Pete Trewavas (bass), Mark Kelly (keyboard) and Ian Mosley (drums).
  • The band's first visit to the US since 2004, the tour will hit several cities across North America, with 2-consecutive-night events planned in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles
Since 1997 Marillion have had an intimate relationship with their fans, beginning with the first ever fan-sponsored US tour fund.  They continue to pre-sell releases, even before the recording process begins.

The seventh biannual Marillion Weekend is set for March-April 2013.  The most unique music experience, wherein fans have an opportunity to not only see their favorite act perform different sets, three nights in a row, but also become immersed in the Marillion culture and history with various activities. Thanks to their much lauded (and much copied) pioneering internet-based rock n' roll business model, Marillion have developed a unique and intimate relationship with their fans. From sponsoring entire tours of the USA to funding the recording of recent albums, Marillion's global fan-base is unique in its affection and dedication.

In 2001, Anoraknophobia saw Marillion take the groundbreaking step of asking fans to pre-order an album 12 months before release. An amazing 12,000 people signed up, helping to finance the recording.

Hailed as Internet pioneers for their game-changing use of technology to unify and mobilize their global fan community, Marillion have been un-compromising with their music and vision. Their revolutionary presale campaigns, in-house label and their own Racket Records recording studio, Marillion have remained uniquely independent and paved the way for a new business model that works.

The band once again took pre-orders for the 2004 masterpiece Marbles, but this time the money was channelled into a campaign fund to promote its launch.  Singles "Don't Hurt Yourself" and "You're Gone" breached the UK Top 20 – the latter making it all the way to number 7!
