Changing Skins is one of the most popular young bands in Romania. Its members are musical advocates of a special brand of alternative rock that endeavors to convey a tangible kind of energy, by means of flamboyant live performances. The masterminds behind the Changing Skins sonic grammar are:
Horatiu Ghibu - vocals (former member of Briefcore, Klon, Rain District)
Raluca Pascaru - drums (performed with the Romanian pop icon Loredana Groza)
Adi Cotoara - bass (former member of Lotul National de Hardcore)
Stefan Mustata - guitar & programming (former member of Frozen Dusk)
The song writing process began in 2010. It was based on some of Stefan's ideas. As for the gigs, the band first went on stage with the new material one year later, in October 2011. Since then, the band has shared the stage with many local and foreign acts.
In 2011, the band succeeded in filming a video for the song "Ain't Worth It", came off 5th at the Romanian Global Battle of the Bands competition, and got so much radio-play at the famous Radio Guerilla station that their recently released single, "Ain't Worth It", was considered a hit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2Z-6TLNoXE
2012 is a particularly good year for Changing Skins, whose schedule is filled with concerts. The band also shoots a controversial video for the song "Deeper and Deeper". In October, the band will release its first album, called "Changing Skins", a media product that features many pleasant surprises.
