Simon Joyner connects to the other-world with self-released 2LP

Joyner's new double album, "Ghosts", was funded entirely through a Kickstarter campaign, and will be released this week on Joyner's resurrected lo-fi pioneer label from the 90's, Sing, Eunuchs! and distributed exclusively by Ba-Da-Bing Records and Revolver USA. A recent radio feature on Simon Joyner aired on the U.S. National Public Radio's "Weekend Edition" program. It can be heard here: http://post-consumer.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=70d21e4e5ef173726d7e8d62e&id=893f68a247&e=9651d22d88

Pitchfork magazine once called Simon "a modern-day Leonard Cohen."

Former label-mates with Sharon von Etten and Bon Iver, Simon has set out on his own to record, produce, mix and release his latest magnum opus. Let's legitimize this grandiose language with some name dropping:

Some musicians who have performed on Simon Joyner's records or performed in his band with him include: Glenn Kotche (Wilco), Jim White (Dirty Three, Cat Power), Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Ken Vandermark (Vandermark 5), Fred Lonberg-Holm (Joe McPhee, Jim O'Rourke, Wilco, God Is My Co-Pilot, The Styrenes), Deanna Varragona (Lambchop), Alex McManus (Vic Chesnutt, Lambchop, Bright Eyes), Eric Heywood (The Pretenders, Jayhawks, Son Volt, Richard Buckner, John Doe), Michael Krassner (Boxhead Ensemble), L.Eugene Methe (Rake Kash, The Naturaliste), John Darnielle (The Mountain Goats).
