Arryan Path shortlisted for IMPALA's European Independent Album of the Year

ARRYAN PATH's "Terra Incognita" has been shortlisted for Impala's inaugural European Independent Album of the Year Award, with the winner to be announced on 28th February.

The IMPALA Album of the Year Award is a Mercury-style award that celebrates the musical talent and diversity of independent European releases. It promotes exceptional artists and the independent sector alike. The winner is selected, regardless of sales figures and publicity, from a shortlist that is compiled based on a national and non-national album nominations from European territories. A jury of Impala board members choose the winner based on musical merit alone.

"Terra Incognita" (the band's second album) was released in February 2010 through Pitch Black Records and has been receiving raving reviews since then, also making it into several 'best of 2010' lists. Being shortlisted for this award is a tremendous achievement by itself and the entire Pitch Black Records team wishes to congratulate Arryan Path while also stating that "we are equally confident about the strength of the band's upcoming album (to be released later this year), just as we were when we first listened to Terra Incognita!"
