BASICK RECORDS announces worldwide distribution partnership with ADA (UK)

Recently celebrating its 5th birthday, rising independent UK label BASICK RECORDS is starting 2011 with a bang as it announces a strategic, global distribution deal (excluding North America) with ADA (UK).

Formed in 2005 by Nathan 'Barley' Phillips, BASICK RECORDS has quickly established itself as one of the most progressive up and coming labels in the UK. From releasing Enter Shikari's first material to leading the way with a new wave of technical Metal, Basick strives to put out only the best in new, exciting, fresh and heavy music. Now a fully-fledged global label, Basick's roster currently includes Ion Dissonance, Chimp Spanner, Aliases, The Arusha Accord, Circles, A Dark Orbit, No Consequence, No Made Sense and Visions, with a host of new releases planned for 2011.

Founded in 1993 in New York City and part owned by Warner Music Group, the Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) is now one of the world's leading distributors of independent physical and digital music. Since launching in London in 2006, ADA (UK) has quickly established itself as a leading figure for distribution and label services throughout the independent music sector, representing labels such as Roadrunner, Earache, Visible Noise, Relapse, Epitaph, Bieler Bros and Rise Records, among many others.

Nick Roden, Product Director at ADA (UK) said: "Over the past 5 years Basick Records has established itself as a cutting edge brand in the global Metal scene. We're very pleased to be working with Barley and the crew for the next chapter in the label's development!"

Label chief Nathan 'Barley' Phillips commented: "As the BASICK brand continues to grow year on year, it has never been more important for us to make sure that we partner with a global distributor that can match our ambition, enthusiasm and expectation for the years ahead. The knowledge, experience and over all network capabilities that the ADA team bring to the table is phenomenal. We're delighted to be joining the ADA family!"
