Prog cult band SAINT JUST AGAIN's new album is out now on Raro! Records

Biography Jenny Sorrenti & Saint Just

Jenny Sorrenti was born in Naples. Her mother was from Wales, her father from Naples. She spent her adolescence in Naples. At the beginning of the Seventies in the rise of the new musical ferment "The movement of Naples' Power" she is the leader of the  Rock progressive band Saint Just and she made two albums: Saint Just (1973) and La casa del lago (1974).
Then Jenny chooses the solo experience making a record in 1976, Suspiro, regarded by critics as a significant example of cosmopolitan pop.

After the second album Jenny Sorrenti, published in 1979, she stops making records to devote herself to compose music for theatre, travel, learn Opera, Music of the Middle Ages and teach singing.

After this long period, her fifth solo record Medieval Zone is published in 2002, materializing once again encounters between the Mediterranean and  North Europe folk music. In 2006 she publishes Com'è grande Enfermidade and in 2009 Burattina, celebrated by critics and by her public.

In 2010 she has reformed Saint Just Again with a new line-up: Jenny Sorrenti (voice and keyboards), Marcello Vento (drums, steel-drum, gong), Elio Cassarà (electric guitars), Ernesto Vitolo (Hammond, Rhodes, synth), Vittorio Pepe (bass), with Francesco di Giacomo del Banco as vocal guest in the last track.

Jenny Sorrenti has come back to the Rock progressive music. The story continues...
