Named one of the best metal albums of 2012 by Decibel Magazine, Metal Sucks.net, and countless others, Epicloud can be purchased at iTunes or CM Distro. Read on for a few reviews of the album:
"'Epicloud' is huge...Devin Townsend is to music as what Michelangelo was to painting and sculpting." -- ABSOLUTE PUNK.net
"...an exhilarating amalgam of show tunes, metal, gospel, techno, prog, pop, rock and musical genres that only exist in Townsend's head." -- DECIBEL MAGAZINE
"Devin Townsend continues to excel at being one of the noteworthy prolific musicians in metal today with the excellent 'Epicloud'." -- LAMBGOAT.com
"Devin Townsend's new album, 'Epicloud,' is incredible; it might be Devy's White Album...It melds a whole lot of different styles into a series of dangerously catchy tunes; a whole lot of the album isn't metal, but every second of it of is great, and yes, most certainly EPIC." -- METAL SUCKS.net
"...a bombastic and catchy record, filled to the brim with some of the best pop metal you will ever find...'Epicloud' is without a doubt the strongest collection of songs on any Townsend record to date." -- HEAVY BLOG IS HEAVY.com
"Although he's known world-wide for his heavy riffing, there has always been a lot more than just that going on in his music. Listening to 'Epicloud's opening tune 'True North' you get classical choruses, power-metal layering, Scandinavian folk and frightfully meaty sludge metal slashing." -- VANCOUVER PROVINCE

The new album is a collection of some of Clapton's favorite songs spanning from his childhood to present day that highlights his vast appreciation and knowledge of music. From Leadbelly to J.J. Cale; Peter Tosh to George Gershwin; Hank Snow to Gary Moore and Taj Mahal, this record is a celebration of so many who have inspired Clapton's rich musical life. Clapton has always had a remarkable ability to recognize great songs and a gift for knowing how to uniquely interpret them, as he does on Old Sock. The album explores romantic standards of the 30's, reggae, soul, rock, and includes a stand out playful collaboration with Paul McCartney, to create an experience that is quintessential Clapton.
Clapton assembled a band for the recordings consisting of longtime collaborators Steve Gadd (drums), Willie Weeks (bass) and Chris Stainton (keyboards) along with some surprise guest additions. JJ Cale joins the song "Angel" for backing vocals and guitar, Chaka Khan joins as backing vocalist for "Get On Over," Steve Winwood on the Hammond B3 Organ on "Still Got The Blues," Paul McCartney on bass/vocals on "All of Me," Jim Keltner on drums for "Our Love is Here To Stay".
