Godsticks

A belated happy new year to everyone! 2012 was a busy year for Godsticks; the majority of it being spent recording and mixing the new album. 2013 promises far more activity though, and we're currently gearing up for the album release and the upcoming European Tour with 'The Mike Keneally Band'.

Upcoming gigs

We'll be playing three warm-up gigs leading up to the tour in March; only two of which have been confirmed so far. The first is a FREE-ENTRY gig at the Full Moon in Cardiff on the 5th of February; and the second at Riffs Bar in Swindon on the 8th of March. The term 'warm up' feels insulting to those who make the effort to come along, but this is our first time playing the new material so we're very keen to hear how it sounds live.

Album Pre-order

The release date is looming!! Those whopre-order 'The Envisage Conundrum' will receive an exclusive remix of 'Caught in a Bind' (a track from the new album), and also a piano/vocal arrangement of 'Clinical' (from our EP) - both of which have been produced by The Pineapple Thief's Bruce Soord. They're 99% ready and will be sent out to those who have pre-ordered very soon.

On a personal note [this is Darran here - 'hello'] I hope the pre-orders keep flooding in. I really want as many people as possible to hear the fantastic job Bruce Soord has done on the remix, and also the breathtakingly-beautiful piano work by Steve on Clinical.

Steve Davis' Interesting alternative show - Phoenix FM 21/1/13

We're pleased to announce that we will be the special guests on Steve Davis' show onPhoenix FM on the 21st January.

We are very much looking forward to this (Steve and Darran especially). Not only is Steve Davis a snooker legend, but he's also a music fanatic. He's graciously asked us to bring with us some of our own favourite music, and he'll also be featuring tracks from the new album. Consequently, Steve and Darran are diligently searching through their music collection, while Dan has already been seen clutching his prized 'Whigfield - Saturday Night' single in preparation.
