Adrian Belew, Tony Levin & Pat Mastelotto To Host 3rd 'Three Of A Perfect Pair Music Camp' August 11-15, 2014 At Full Moon Resort In Big Indian, NY

Guitarist Adrian Belew, bassist Tony Levin and drummer Pat Mastelotto bring their Three Of A Perfect Pair Music Camp back to Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY for its third year in 2014. The weeklong getaway – running from Monday, August 11 through Friday, August 15 – will feature performances, workshops, social and recreational activities, all set against the idyllic backdrop of the Catskill Mountains. The camp is part of the successful Music Masters Camp Series (www.musicmasterscamp.com) held at Full Moon Resort.

Together in past incarnations of King Crimson -- as well as the current Crimson ProjeKCt -- and separately through countless other bands, projects and collaborations, Belew, Levin and Mastelotto have helped forge the history of modern rock music over careers spanning five decades.

At the Three Of A Perfect Pair Music Camp, Adrian, Tony and Pat will share meals, tales from the road, and maybe even the stage during after-hours jam sessions with campers. Whether campers play guitar, drums, bass -- or no instrument at all -- Three Of A Perfect Pair offers a rare opportunity to learn, to play, to make new friends, and to get up close and personal with this trio of renowned musicians.

The full itinerary and roster of special guest musicians for Three Of A Perfect Pair are to be determined – in part through the feedback of returning campers. Look for more details in the coming months atwww.threeofaperfectpair.com. In the meantime, there is little doubt about what drew the trio back for a third year:

"The campers!" says Pat Mastelotto. "We get pretty up close and personal. Several have ongoing emails or come to gigs throughout the year. They become pals."

Adrian Belew adds, "A beautiful 100-acre facility on top of the world where at night it looks like you are in a fishbowl full of stars, fantastic friendly people excited about music, an awesome staff and surprisingly good food, nightly drinks and a bonfire and rubbing elbows with a world class band willing to share knowledge and tell plenty of funny road stories...what's not to love?"

Tony Levin echoes, "The biggest single thing bringing me back is the campers who attend. They've been a really special group of people from all over the world, who have more than listened to what we have to say and to play. They've formed bonds, music groups, friendships among themselves that I think will outlast the camps. We get to see a lot of our new friends when we're out on tour, and it's heartwarming to have 3, 4 or 5 of the campers show up together at a show, hang out with us a bit. It makes me realize that the most special gift of the camp is connection – us with the campers, and also campers with campers."

Attendees at Three Of A Perfect Pair will have access to all workshops, seminars, gourmet meals, performances, and camp activities. Three Of A Perfect Pair Music Camp offers a variety of pricing options, based on the variety of available accommodations. All activities will be held at Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY, which features an eclectic array of comfortable, rustic country-inn accommodations as well as primitive tent camping. All accommodations are just steps away from daily camp activities. Guests can enjoy the spring-fed swimming pool, on-site access to the Esopus Creek, and explore the splendors of the Catskills on the nearby network of hiking trails. Dedicated to the celebration of nature, music and the arts, this one hundred-acre wonderland of mountains, fields, and streams is a world of its own.

"The space is fantastic," says Mastelotto. "Huge barn, a big roadhouse with stage and bar, big tent for meals, lots of housing (some big some small) in several price ranges. Heck, you can even just camp outside since the weather is so nice."

Prior to coming together for the Three Of A Perfect Pair Music Camp, Adrian Belew, Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto hit the road in March 2014 for a month-long European Crimson ProjeKCt tour.

About the artists at Three Of A Perfect Pair Music Camp

Adrian Belew (guitar)

www.adrianbelew.net

Lauded by Trent Reznor as "the most awesome musician in the world," cited by Les Claypool as an inspiration for him "to go down paths lightly trodden," and hailed by no less than Frank Zappa as a musician who "re-invented the electric guitar," Adrian Belew has made his mark as a guitarist, singer, songwriter,multi-instrumentalist and record producer. Best known for his previous work as guitarist and lead vocalist for seminal prog-rockers King Crimson for over 30 years, Adrian has led avant-pop band The Bears for more than 25 years, and the Adrian Belew Power Trio – which will be featured on the 2014 Progressive Nation @ Sea Cruise in February – for nearly a decade. Belew has more than 15 acclaimed solo albums and countless collaborations to his name.

His fiercely original and relentlessly offbeat work is as diverse as it is prolific, with credits as far-flung as David Bowie, Bela Fleck, Talking Heads, and even Mariah Carey. He has played on landmark records from Paul Simon's Graceland to Nine Inch Nails' The Downward Spiral.

Tony Levin (bass)

Born in Boston, Tony Levin started out in classical music, attending the Eastman School of Music and playing bass in the Rochester Philharmonic. Later moving into jazz and rock, he has had a notable career, recording with John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Yes, Alice Cooper, Paul Simon, Carly Simon, Judy Collins, and many more. He has also released five solo CDs, three books, and has had numerous exhibitions of his photographs. He tours throughout the year with the band Stick Men, and he is currently a member of King Crimson and the Peter Gabriel Band. His popular website, papabear.com, featured one of the web's first blogs, and has over 4 million visits.

Tony's latest projects include a newly-released collaboration with drummer Marco Minnemann and Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess, simply dubbed Levin • Minnemann • Rudess.

Pat Mastelotto (drums)

www.patmastelotto.com

After spending 35 years working with many of the top artists in the pop and prog rock scene, Pat Mastelotto released his first solo album, Recidivate, in 2012. Naturally, the King Crimson/XTC/Mr. Mister drummer decided to take a slightly different path to solo stardom by assembling a compilation of outtakes, rarities, and highlights from the past 20 years of his career -- recruiting several artists he has worked with over the years to participate in the project.

Pat closes out 2013 on the road with a variety of projects, including European dates with The Naked Truth (also featuring Lorenzo Feliciati, Roy Powell and Graham Haynes) in October and with Chrysta Bell in November, as well as festival dates in India with TU (Pat's duo with former King Crimson bandmate Trey Gunn). Stick Men – with Tony Levin and Markus Reuter – have U.S. west coast dates slated for January 2014, and set sail with Yes and others for 2014 Cruise To The Edge in April.
