"This throbbing, gristly cut of harrowing, politicised, electronic post-punk brings the Londoners (Calling All Astronauts) to the verge of being a veritable 21st Century Killing Joke" - Rock Sound Magazine
Vocalist/Programmer/Producer David B and guitarist J Browning form the nucleus of London based socio-political, Electro-rock 2-piece Calling All Astronauts. Since their inception in 2011 they have continually defied the limitations of their DIY credentials.
Describing themselves as "a punk rock band with synths" they have quickly built up a loyal global following, their 85,000 (genuine) Twitter followers have pushed them to the Number 1 spot on the Twitter Music Charts on no fewer than 3 occasions and they have spent the last 8 months in the UK Top 10 on Reverbnation.
They have received considerable support from radio too, with both BBC 6Music and Radio Lancashire featuring them several times on their BBC Introducing shows. Their support doesn't end in the UK though; they have been on heavy rotation on stations throughout the world, including USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, and South Africa.
Never short of a comment or two CAA have become the firm favourites of blogs and webzines, with Louder Than Warproclaiming in their review of the band's debut album "Post Modern Conspiracy", "Move Over Daft Punk, Calling All Astronauts have released the soundtrack of the summer".
Hot off the success of their debut album which hit the stores in June 2013, the London based electro-rockers are back, with what can only be described as another audio triumph! They release their fifth single "Red Flag" on 4th November. The EP is an absolute smash and containing 5 extremely eclectic mixes, it's a musical rollercoaster for the un-expecting ear.
1. Red Flag (In Your Bass Mix)
A 172bpm sonic assault, when rock meets drum and bass, that picks up where Skrillex Vs Korn ended
2. Red Flag (Single Version)
A brand new reprogrammed version of the album original
3. Red Flag (Gothstep Mix)
A haunting Dubstep remix with dark gothesque vocals
4. Red Flag (E39 NYC Club Edit)
