System Of Venus are band from Melbourne, Australia who have a thirst for low-end riff laden tunes and steam-rolling grooves. While blending elements of stoner rock, sludge and metal with intricate mood driven melodies, System Of Venus skillfully contrast heavier components of their music with detail and space; allowing the band to deliver a sonic experience unlike any other three piece around.
Since 2011, the band have been invited to perform at several of Australia's most respected live music venues, local festivals as well as an international festival. In 2013 System Of Venus finished their self-titled debut album with accompanying booklet complete with skull-tastic illustrations and tales of small town injustice, irrational greed, monster ego's, power-mongering and heinous cultural crimes. The band have also featured on several compilation CDs including the Australian Heavy Music Magazine covermount CD.
Members have a shared appreciation for music by the likes of Kyuss, Melvins, Beastwars, Dreadnaught, Shihad and ISIS.
